Chapter 1: The strongest there is
"Hmm. What am I going to do with this?" Ace said as he held the newly created Ark reactor in his hand.
He wanted to get his hands on Stark's technology but after recreating it he didn't know what to do with it.
It's not like he has a hole in his body that he can insert it into.
He spends around $75,000 on equipment that he used to make the Ark reactor and he takes one more day off from his job.
That is despite his trying to substitute expensive materials with cheaper alternatives.
Just for a piece of tech that he doesn't know what to do with.
During the creation, he also received several complaints from the neighbours about the noise he was making.
I need to move to a place that is soundproof if I want to continue doing this. Ace thought in his mind.
Maybe I should just sell it. No. If Stark found out I had sold his tech to others I would be in big trouble. Ace was conflicted.
But what should I do with this? Should I use it for electricity instead? He cannot find a good use for the Ark reactor that is in his hand.
If he was as smart as Tony Stark(Iron Man) or Reed Richards(Mr fantastic) he would be able to make something that he could use the Ark reactor efficiently on but he is not as smart as them in the slightest.
"Hmm maybe." Then he remembered that he still had Shield equipment with him that he could use for references.
If he Disassembles the Shield tech there is a possibility that he will find something that could work well with the Ark reactor.
If he was unable to put them back together after disassembling them he could just say that they broke during a mission and ask for another one.
If he was able to keep his stupid mindless experiments in moderation and didn't look like he was trying to smuggle Shield's weapons to others he could get away with it.
He took the tool kit and started to slowly mess around with Shield's laser gun.
"Hmm. This piece goes here. This goes there."
He also tried to memorize and create drawings of the laser gun as he was disassembling it.
He was focusing hard as he didn't want to blow himself up in some kind of explosion.
"Let's see. Hmm."
Suddenly his phone rang.
"Who is it?" He asked as he answered the phone.
"Agent. This is an emergency. The Hulk, who is now defected from the Avengers is coming towards your direction. Track him down and contact the HQ later." a woman's voice was heard.
"Roger that," Ace replied.
He was not happy that his day off was cut off.
He was also not very fond of shield-tracking his location even though he was supposed to be on a day off.
If his workplace was just a regular place that does not try to track the employee's location and track their passports, and even some of the private matters he would not have decided to mess around with the organization's property like the laser gun.
However, the thing about his job is that just as the organization does not trust him, he doesn't feel obligated to follow their rule outside of his working hours either.
The only reason why he accepted that order earlier was because he knew that it was a very important mission and he could get a lot of potential benefits from it.
If he could contribute to the capture or recruitment of the Hulk he could earn a few million dollars, or get a property in a good location.
As duty calls although he wanted to laze around more he decided to immediately go out.
He put on his Shield uniform. Put an earpiece on one of his ears.
He left the leaser gun and Ark reactor behind as they were still in multiple pieces from him disassembling them.
Instead, he picked up a tranquillizer gun loaded with sleeping darts, tear gas and several throwable explosives for the worst-case scenario.
----------------------------
"Let's see." He said as he opened his phone.
"Hulk is seen around the Manhattan bridge." He looked at the news of the place where the Hulk was located.
Then he got onto the motorbike that Shield gave him and started to head towards the location of the Hulk.
Not long after that, he started to see large footprints that were around the size of puddles in the middle of the road.
They must be Hulk's footprint. He must have leapt around this place.
If I used those I could find Hulk's location. Ace increased the speed of the bike even further as he continued to follow the trail of the Hulk.
If I get lots of money as a bonus I might just quit my job on the spot. Ace thought in his mind.
"What the hell is that? Is that Iron Man?" Ace said as he briefly saw a transparent Iron Man talking to another superhero in the middle of the air.
He didn't stop to identify whether his vision was true or not and continued to follow Hulk's footprints.
----------------------------
A few minutes later, he saw Hulk not very far away from him leaping from place to place.
There he is. Wait. Is that a teenager clinging to his body? Ace thought as he looked at Hulk from afar.
He pressed his earpiece to communicate with Shield.
"I am trailing the Hulk, but it seems that there is someone who is accompanying the Hulk," Ace said.
"Good job agent. Try to separate Hulk from his company. We will send others towards your location. If there is abnormality from either the Hulk or his company report back." Someone from Shield Hq replied.
"Roger," Ace said as he hung up by pressing the button on the earpiece.
There is a GPS in his bike that Shield was tracking so he didn't have to give full details about his location.
However, there was a problem.
Hulk seemed to have noticed that Ace was trailing him.
Ace has to use the bike's max speed to match Hulk's powerful leaps.
This means his bike engine noise was really loud and was drawing uneccessary attention to him.
Ace was used to it so he didn't realise that but Hulk would immediately notice him.
"Stay here. I have to take care of an annoying insect." Hulk said to the teenager called Rick as he stopped leaping.
He then dropped Rick off without harming him and waited for Ace to get close to him.
Hulk and Rick then looked at the Shield agent.
Ace realized too late that he was spotted by the Hulk he then stopped his back in front of the Hulk and Rick
He got off the bike and introduced himself to the two.
"I am Agent Ace. A level 4 agent from Shield." Ace immediately introduced himself.
He would have tried to stay out of Hulk's sight if possible and trail him from the shadows but to keep up with Hulk who is very strong and can jump far he can only show himself.
"What do you want?" Hulk asked Ace.
"Hold on Hulk. We don't know whether he is a good guy or a bad guy. We don't need to treat him like an enemy." Rick said as he intervened before Hulk tried to antagonise Ace.
Ace wanted to stall Hulk before Shield could arrive. He knew that judging by the way Hulk talked he could not use Hulk by trying to talk to him.
So he decided to stall by starting a conversation with the teenager who was with Hulk.
"I like you, kid. To be honest I am not here for the Hulk. I am here for you." Ace said.
"You are here for me. Rick Jones?" He asked.
This guy must be a pushover. He even introduced his name without having to ask him.
"Follow me for a bit," Ace said as he distanced Rick from Hulk.
"Wait for me. Okay, Hulk." Rick asked the Hulk.
"Hurry up," Hulk said to Rick.
"Why are you so close to him? Isn't he a scary monster?" Ace asked Rick after distancing themselves from the Hulk.
"Well, you see... I am the reason why he is like that." Rick explained.
"Can you Explain what you meant?" Ace asked.
What are those two talking about? Hulk wondered as he looked at Ace and Rick who were having a conversation.
"So he got hit by gamma rays when he was trying to save you?" Ace said.
"That's exactly how it happened." Rick nodded.
"You are not going to disclose who he is to me. Are you?" Ace asked.
"I am sorry. That is important because if that info leaks out Hulk would be in trouble so I can't help you with that. Even if you force me." Rick replied.
Then suddenly numerous cars started to arrive at the location where Ace, Rick and Hulk were.
"You tried to capture Hulk." Hulk snapped when he realized what Ace was trying to do.
A tall light-skinned man who was wearing an eyepatch stepped out of the car.
"The incredible Hulk. I have heard about you." He was Nick Fury(Sr).
An agent of Shield.
Although both he and Ace are Agents that are working for Shield both of them cannot be anymore difference.
Ace was a fodder agent who was a level 4 agent while Fury was the Director of Shield who fought in WW2 as a member of the legendary Howling commandos.
Fury is the one who possesses the highest authority in Shield.
"One eye man and Goldilocks tricked Hulk. Hulk will beat up all of you lots." Hulk said.
Hulk started to rampage wanting to beat up both Nick Fury who looked like he was in charge of the situation that was happening right now and Ace who was the reason why this situation was even occurring in the first place.
"We just wanted to talk to you, hulk. It doesn't need to escalate to violence." Nick Fury said.
However, Hulk didn't listen as he started to walk towards Fury and the shield Agents.
Nick Fury ordered the Shield agents to shart open firing at the Hulk.
Ace grabbed Rick by force as he tried to pull him away from the battlefield.
However, the bullets just bounced off from the body of the strongest there is.
Hulk leaps towards Fury and the Shield agents.
He then slammed numerous Shield agents with the swipe of his big green hand sending them flying away.
Shields agents that were not hit by Hulk's attack tried to engage in hand-in-hand combat with the Hulk however they were easily overpowered.
The power of the Hulk was so overwhelming that Shield agents were unable to do any harm to him.
Even then the Hulk was still holding back from killing them as he was any stronger than the strength that he was showing.
It's just that he is not the monster that everyone thought he was.
He is only dangerous if he gets too angry and loses control.
Currently, Hulk is angry but it is not to the point where he is going to lose control.
Nick Fury tries to tackle Hulk to the ground.
But it was unsuccessful as he was not strong enough to overpower Hulk even with the element of surprise.
Then Hulk grabs him by the body.
"!. You what are you?" Hulk asked.
He feels that there is something wrong with Nick Fury.
Hulk tried to squeeze Nick Fury's body. Not to the extent that it would have snapped him in half but with enough force to feel intense pain.
However, Nick Fury doesn't seem to look like he is being harmed instead small electric currents start to appear on Fury's body.
Then suddenly Nick Fury exploded. It was not the real Nick Fury.
But the robot look a like that was designed to detonate by the real Nick Fury's command.
At that time Ace has tied up Rick.
As the teenager was trying to intervene with the capture of Hulk.
"Let me go. I have to help him." Rick said to Ace.
"I am sorry. But my bonus is relying on the capture of the Hulk you see." Ace said as he looked at Hulk who was preoccupied with the Shield agents.
He then pulls out his tranquillizer gun.
He wanted to hit Hulk from afar using it in hopes of bringing him down.
However, before he could fire the gun Hulk finished off all the shield agents and started to look around him.
Hulk wanted to know where Ace and Rick went.
Then Hulk saw them. Not very far away from him.
He takes a powerful leap as he arrives at the place where Rick and Ace are before he can take the shot.
"You tried to shoot Hulk," Hulk said as he looked at Ace.
"Hulk," Rick said joyfully.
"Now Hulk is going to beat you up," Hulk said as he started to pound on Ace.
Hulk just as he said is the strongest there is so Ace was unable to resist Hulk's attack.
After a few punches, kicks, a body slam and a choke hold Ace finally got knocked out with numerous injuries on his body.
"I am glad to see you," Rick said to Hulk.
Hulk easily freed Rick put him on his back and continued his journey.
It was that day Ace realized that it would take more than one plan if he wanted to take down even a single Avenger.
A mistake that he would learn from as starting that day he would make multiple plans against superhumans from many different factions and allegiances.
