MARVEL -BLACK SPIDERMAN

Chapter 92: Chapter 92: Conflict on the Brooklyn Bridge

Something had to be done!

Gwen's body plummeted through the air, the howling wind tearing at her as she fell.

She couldn't just wait to die!

The Green Goblin held Gwen tightly by the arms, restraining her movements as he slammed her downward. Her body hurtled toward the ground like a cannonball, but Gwen's sharp eyes quickly caught sight of a building near her.

Taking a deep breath, she shot a web toward the building's wall. The spider silk struck with precision, anchoring itself securely.

Rapidly, she shot more webs, forming an intricate web in the air.

"Boom!"

Gwen's body hit the web with force, her momentum slowed by the thick silk.

That man… he knows my name.

As she stood up, the thought echoed in her mind. Who was he?

"Whoosh!"

Without hesitation, Gwen shot another web, this time aimed at her assailant. She swung towards him, landing a solid punch to the Green Goblin's head.

The Green Goblin staggered back slightly, his balance faltering.

But Gwen didn't let up. She swiftly shot more webs, maintaining her balance as she flipped in mid-air. A perfect backflip followed, with a well-aimed web striking the Goblin in the face.

"Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!"

Just as Gwen prepared for another attack, a barrage of missiles from a nearby robot came flying toward her, whistling through the air.

To avoid the missiles, Gwen was forced to duck backward.

"Boom!"

The explosion sent shockwaves through the nearby building, scattering debris and dust.

While Gwen was dodging, the Green Goblin rushed at her again.

At the same time, an NYPD helicopter arrived overhead.

The sound of the helicopter blades sliced through the air, the thumping of its propeller growing louder as it approached the battle.

Unfortunately, Gwen's web accidentally hit the helicopter's windshield.

"Oh! No! I'm sorry!" she called out, her face flushed with embarrassment as she saw the webbing spread across the glass.

Meanwhile, the helicopter pilot, struggling to maintain control, called for backup.

"This is NY34, requesting support! Repeat! This is NY34!"

The helicopter, now spiraling out of control, began shaking as the pilot's voice crackled in panic.

"Damn it! Control the helicopter! Keep it steady!"

"I can't see!" the pilot responded frantically. "There's something blocking the windshield!"

Gwen, standing on the building above, didn't hear the pilot's conversation, but she could see the chaos unfolding. The helicopter veered off-course and began flying erratically.

Ignoring the Green Goblin for the moment, Gwen shot a web to the helicopter, yanking herself toward it.

She was taken away, the helicopter lifting her high above the city.

The Green Goblin, furious, followed quickly on his glider.

"Boom!"

After being lifted by the helicopter, Gwen landed on the Brooklyn Bridge, where she finally freed the webbing from the windshield.

The moment her feet touched the ground, Gwen was immediately struck by the Green Goblin's attack.

"Bang!"

The force of the blow sent Gwen tumbling downward.

As she struggled to regain her footing, her senses heightened. She could feel the pain, but she couldn't afford to lose her balance. Suddenly, the robot from before launched another volley of missiles in her direction.

"Shit!"

Gwen cursed aloud, no longer able to keep her cool. She needed a plan.

Just as the missiles closed in, a dark figure appeared before her.

A shadow flew through the air, its wings gleaming with cold light.

Gwen's eyes widened in shock. The streamlined wings enveloped the figure, protecting them from the missiles.

"Boom!"

The powerful blast from the explosion sent the mysterious figure several meters backward, but they quickly regained their balance.

The wings that shielded them wrapped around their chest and then retracted, revealing the figure beneath.

"Spider-Man!"

Gwen gasped in astonishment, recognizing the familiar figure in the black-and-red suit.

Peter Parker, or Spider-Man, had appeared just in time.

Immediately, countless projectiles rained down from Peter's back, targeting the robot beneath the bridge.

The robot, now completely corroded, stopped functioning, sparks flying from its damaged parts.

The streets of Brooklyn were in chaos as cars parked on the bridge began to catch fire from the blast. Civilians screamed in panic, running toward the end of the bridge to escape.

Gwen watched helplessly as the disaster unfolded.

"Oh no," she whispered under her breath.

"Boom!"

Peter didn't glance at the chaos below him. His focus was on the Green Goblin, who stood on his hovering glider, eyes burning with malice.

Peter's hands flexed as sharp claws emerged from his fingers, ready for battle.

His mind raced. He had noticed changes in his body after absorbing the vampire's DNA. His agility had improved, his healing factor was much stronger, and his recovery was faster than before.

The explosion he had just endured would have left him severely injured earlier, but now, he was already back to full strength.

His back had also evolved, sprouting wings that helped him maneuver better. He could feel them shift, morphing to fit his needs, much like they had just done to block the missile attack.

These abilities were not from the original Spider-Man DNA but came from the vampiric genes that had fused with his. The bloodthirsty instincts of vampires weren't present, only the beneficial traits.

Clenching his fists, Peter felt the rapid beating of his two hearts. The vampire DNA didn't curse him with weaknesses like an aversion to sunlight or bloodlust. Instead, it seemed to enhance his physical capabilities.

On the other side of the bridge, the Green Goblin's eyes glowed a furious red as he saw Spider-Man prepare for the fight.

With a maniacal grin, the Green Goblin rushed at Peter, throwing pumpkin bombs as he came.

"Boom!"

The explosion rocked the bridge, sending rubble flying and smoke clouding the air.

"Whoosh!"

A black web shot out from Spider-Man, striking the Green Goblin just as he was about to dodge. The Goblin barely had time to react as Peter lunged toward him.

With deadly precision, Peter's claws slashed across the Green Goblin's chest, causing him to recoil.

The battle had only just begun.
