"With that mutant..."

Was she talking about Logan?

Mike looked at Raven and asked, "How do you know? Was it Phantom?"

"Is he one of yours?" Raven raised an eyebrow, then paused. "Wait! Don't tell me this is your territory?"

Why else would Raven be here?

Raven propped her chin up and studied Mike, her gaze tracing the curves of his face in the dim light.

Beneath her sharp black short hair, her blue eyes had lost some of their previous intensity but still held a cold depth. Her handsome face was adorned with a short stubble...

The corner of Raven's mouth curled into a faint smile.

She seemed even more captivating than before.

This was Mike—the dad version?

Raven observed Mike's slightly furrowed brow and smiled faintly. "You're still as sharp as ever."

The Hellfire Club was right here—there was no better place.

"Yes, this is our turf, and Phantom is one of us. We're also searching for Striker's island."

After Phantom left Striker's X-Team and came here, he quickly joined the Hellfire Club.

"For those captured mutants?"

When Mike mentioned it, Raven's gaze turned icy. "Yes!"

Mike paused thoughtfully. "You should look for Remy LeBeau. He should be willing to cooperate."

"Remy LeBeau..." Raven sighed. "He's had some issues with the Club, so he refuses to cooperate. He runs every time he sees one of our people."

"And Phantom?"

"Don't worry, Phantom won't be seen by him," Raven replied. "Phantom said he found a new person who's possibly one of us, and they're together with the target. To find out more about that island, they went to find Remy LeBeau. I came to track them and didn't expect to find you here."

Raven looked at Mike with a smile that made her eyes narrow.

Mike, however, remained cautious. "Stop smiling at me like that, nothing good ever comes from it."

"Oh, don't make me feel embarrassed," Raven laughed even more brightly. Before Mike could respond, she quickly added, "Once you find that island, give us the location."

"This is something Phantom can handle, right?"

"Oh, come on, this is just a precaution! In my eyes, you're the most reliable."

Mike sighed, shaking his head. "Well, thanks for the flattery."

"You're welcome." Raven smiled like a cat who had just stolen a fish, then asked, "So, how have you been these past three years? Also, how did you get involved with Striker?"

"I've been fine." Mike briefly summarized, then shared the events from the farm.

When Raven heard that Mike's house was destroyed, she laughed so hard that tears almost started to fall.

At that moment, Clark, who had been quietly observing them, turned his head and asked, "Pretty lady, do you know my daddy?"

"Pretty lady?"

Raven smiled happily and pinched Clark's cheek. "Yes, I do."

She thought for a moment before asking, "Hey, little guy, has your dad found you a mom yet?"

"No!" Clark shook his head.

Raven's smile widened.

Clark blinked and asked, "Do you want to be my mom?"

Mike's mouth twitched, and he quickly pressed Clark's head down. "Watch the performance."

Raven was about to say something else when Mike turned to her and warned, "If you say one more word, I won't help you."

Raven mischievously held up two fingers and pressed her lips together, silencing herself.

Suddenly, Raven pressed her earpiece, her expression changing. "Phantom is dead."

Mike turned to look at her.

Raven explained, "He was killed in an alley behind the casino where Remy LeBeau was. His spine was crushed."

"Where's Logan?"

Mike asked.

"He left with Remy LeBeau," Raven replied, looking at Mike. "Now it's up to you. Once you find the island, let us know."

Mike furrowed his brows. "Are you going to the island too?"

Raven hesitated before answering, "Yes."

Then, she flashed a charming smile and asked, "What? Are you worried about me?"

"No!" Mike replied calmly. "You need to look after the kid."

"Not happening!"

"Then I'm not going to the island. I'll stay and take care of Clark."

Their eyes locked, and Raven let out a frustrated huff.

"Fine," Mike said, standing up. "With Logan's impulsiveness, he'll be leaving tonight."

He turned to Clark and said, "Be good, son. Daddy has some business to take care of. We'll come back next time, okay?"

"Okay!" Clark nodded obediently.

After leaving the circus, Mike entrusted Clark to Raven's care and, with the tracker she gave him in hand, headed back to the boxing club.

Under the dim light, Logan stood leaning against the wall, smoking a cigar. He looked a bit disheveled.

Hearing footsteps, Logan looked up and called out, "Mike, where's Clark?"

"I left him with a friend," Mike replied. After a pause, he asked, "What's going on? Trouble?"

Logan nodded grimly. "I ran into Victor. He killed Phantom."

He lowered his head, his voice tinged with frustration. "Damn it."

Mike patted Logan on the shoulder. "Where's Remy LeBeau?"

"Handled it."

"Then… are we ready?"

Logan snuffed out his cigarette and said coldly, "Let's go."

The two men drove off.

Half an hour later, Mike met the "Card King," Remy LeBeau.

He was a man with an air of recklessness about him, exuding confidence and style.

Remy LeBeau looked at Mike warily. "Who's this?"

"My friend. Striker's men destroyed his home," Mike explained.

A genuine smile spread across Remy's face. "Welcome, Avenger!"

Mike extended his hand. "Mike."

"Remy LeBeau," Remy replied with a grin. "You can just call me Remy."

Mike glanced at the small plane behind Remy and asked, "We're flying there?"

"Unless you want to swim," Remy chuckled, hopping into the plane and waving at them. "Come on, let's go. It's a long trip, and I want to make it back in time to gamble a bit."

Mike and Logan exchanged a look and walked onto the plane.

...

Flying over the vast ocean, a small island appeared as a ray of golden sunlight broke through the heavy darkness.

"There's an abandoned nuclear power plant here," Remy said, looking down at the island with a hint of mockery in his eyes. "Everyone's scared of the radiation, so no one dares to come near. But who would have thought there's a mutant prison down there, with a lab that conducts cruel experiments on mutants?"

As the plane slowly approached the shore, Remy continued, "As we agreed, I'm just here to drop you off. I'm not getting involved in your fight."

"That's enough," Mike replied calmly.

"Whoosh!" Remy whistled, grinning. "I think I'm starting to like you guys. Just don't die down there."
