The power of manifestation.

This was the term Mike used to describe the force within him.

When it runs out, the manifested item will disappear.

However, Mike had found a way to expedite the "consumption" process using the power of the cards.

That is, when creating a card, he could channel all the energy needed to sustain the manifestation directly into the card.

This allowed him to greatly enhance both his combat capabilities and the duration of his manifestations.

The power and energy consumption of the manifested items were tied to Mike's mastery of the technique. Therefore, Mike had chosen to manifest certain items that were both functional and easy for him to handle, using these items to improve his skill and increase the power of his manifestations.

He classified the items into three categories.

The first category was the Soul Reaper's zanpakuto.

The second category consisted of the Noble Phantasms from Fate.

The third category included items with magical properties, though not belonging to the same series, such as the stopwatch.

However, due to the current level of manifestation power in his body and his overall power level, the manifested items could only replicate part of their original abilities.

For example, with the zanpakuto, he could only manifest its Shikai (initial release), but he was currently unable to manifest the Bankai.

He figured he would only be able to do so once he reached Level 2 or higher.

Level 2...

Mike glanced at the progress bar for his current level and felt quite calm.

Holding a blank card between his hands, Mike took a deep breath and began the manifestation process to fill the card.

After a moment, the blank card was filled with the manifested item.

On the front, there was a short sword, and on the back, Mike had written some notes.

*Name*: Divine Spear

*Item Description*: This is a zanpakuto with the same soul-crushing power. When the release phrase is spoken, it unleashes its true power.

*Release Phrase*:

Shikai: "Shoot him down, Divine Spear!"

*Notes*: The blade can freely extend and retract, enhancing its attack speed and strength—truly impressive.

With a flash of light, the card vanished, and Mike's manifestation energy was depleted.

In order to extend the duration of the manifestation, he had exhausted all of his internal energy.

"Only one card a day... And going out with Logan consumed a dozen cards. I need to replenish them quickly!"

Closing his eyes and thinking of the cards he still had in mind, Mike sighed.

He felt like a squirrel, always gathering cards. This habit gave him a sense of satisfaction and security. However, once a card was used, even if many cards remained, there was always a feeling of impending danger.

Mike stretched lazily and muttered, "Time to sleep!"

The next day, Mike and an excited Clark arrived in New York.

Today, their mission was simple—shopping.

Since their previous home had been destroyed, everything they owned had been ruined, so they had to buy everything again.

Household items, clothing, Clark's toys, and school supplies.

Before shopping for these things, Mike first bought a pickup truck to use as their mode of transportation.

By the time they returned home with everything, it was already evening.

Bob and Mary had efficiently moved all the things they packed yesterday, and by the time Mike and Clark got back, their work was done.

However, with many items gone, the house did feel a bit empty.

"Tomorrow we'll need to buy some furniture, and Clark's room will have to be redecorated too."

Mike rubbed his chin thoughtfully, then placed the things they had bought in their proper places before turning on the TV.

"Clark, you can watch TV for a bit. I'll make dinner."

"Okay!" Clark sat on the couch and called out to Mike, "Dad, I want to eat braised pork."

Mike chuckled and started cooking.

After a warm dinner, the father and son sat together watching TV for a while before washing up and heading to bed.

Time passed quickly...

Mike had been home for a week.

It had been a busy week for him.

Not only had he redecorated the house, but he had also taken care of Clark's kindergarten arrangements. The kindergarten was in the small town, about a ten-minute walk from their house, which was very convenient.

"Clark!" Mike said firmly, placing his hand on Clark's shoulder. "Don't get into fights with the other kids, understand?"

Clark nodded seriously, but hesitated before speaking. "But what if they hit me?"

Mike sighed, feeling a bit troubled.

Of course, he hated the thought of his child being hurt, but if Clark retaliated and lost control of his strength... Mike quickly imagined some gruesome scenarios in his mind.

Mike gently ruffled Clark's hair and asked, "Why are you worried they'll hit you?"

Clark lowered his head, worried. "I don't know."

Perhaps it was because he knew he was different from the other kids, and that made him anxious.

Mike's heart ached for the little guy. He said firmly, "Don't worry! If they hit you, I'll deal with their parents!"

"Ha-ha!" Clark laughed happily and nodded enthusiastically.

Mike smiled at Clark and said, "Go to bed now, I'll wake you up tomorrow."

Clark nodded and happily skipped back to his room.

"Ha..." Mike sighed, hoping everything would go smoothly for Clark on his first day at school.

---

The next day, outside the kindergarten.

"Dad, goodbye."

Clark was very well-behaved as he waved at Mike and followed the teacher into the classroom.

Mike smiled, but once Clark was out of sight, he couldn't help but sigh with worry. Clark's first day of school was making him anxious.

Mike turned to leave but didn't notice Clark, who had been quietly standing at the door, watching Mike's back. It wasn't until Mike had disappeared from view that Clark's little face drooped.

Seeing that the little guy was upset, the teacher, holding Clark's hand, smiled softly. It was a common sight for her, seeing children this way when their parents left.

"Clark, right?" The teacher, a young woman with a few freckles and a bright smile, crouched down and gently patted Clark's black hair. She looked into his bright blue eyes.

What beautiful eyes.

Inwardly, the teacher thought, How pretty. She smiled and said, "Don't worry. There's a teacher here, and you'll make a lot of new friends. You're going to have so much fun."

Clark nodded and suddenly said, "You're so gentle, Teacher."

The teacher smiled and pinched Clark's little face. "You're such a sweet talker."

"Teacher, do you have a boyfriend?"

"No," the teacher replied, laughing at the question. "Why? Do you want to be my little boyfriend?"

Clark stepped back, his face serious. "No way! You're too old for me!"

The teacher blinked in surprise, her thoughts about how cute Clark was slipping away, replaced by a quiet chuckle.

Clark continued seriously, "I'm doing it for my dad! I want to find him a girlfriend!"

Before the teacher could feel touched, Clark added...

"He brings those pretty sisters home, but I've only met them once. It's such a waste."

The teacher's smile faltered as she tried to hold back a laugh. "You really know how to think ahead."

She silently added to herself, Player.
