Marvel Multiverse Gacha

Chapter 53: A GAME OF THRONES: Part 7.3

Jon and Davos stood gazing ahead at their destination.

The journey was almost over. They would reach land soon.

"What do you think will happen?" Davos asked, breaking the silence.

He didn't elaborate, but Jon knew what he meant.

"She'll try," Jon said firmly. Daenerys had given him her word before they left. She would try.

Davos glanced at him. "Do you think she'll accept?" This time, it was clear he was talking about Cersei.

"She has to," Jon replied, turning to meet Davos's gaze. His voice was steady, but there was a hint of urgency. "Isn't that why we went beyond the Wall in the first place?"

Davos nodded once, his expression thoughtful. "Let's hope so," he said quietly, his eyes returning to the horizon.

Jon broke the silence again. "How are they?"

Asking about John and Roberta.

During the entire journey, they hadn't spoken much to either of them. If not for shared meals, they might not have even seen them.

"With peace, as always," Davos replied. Like everyone else on the ship, he understood that neither Roberta nor John would share much about themselves.

"Peace," Jon muttered to himself.

Will there ever truly be peace? he wondered. Even if they won the war against the dead, the battle among the living would never truly end.

Davos, noticing the change in Jon's demeanor, broke his thoughts. "Though... the boy's mood..." He paused, his eyes narrowing thoughtfully. "Hmm. Angry? Sad? He's been off these past two days."

Jon blinked, recalling the shift in John's behavior. "Do you know why?"

"No," Davos said, shaking his head. "They didn't fight, not that I've seen."

"The lady's been outside, enjoying the view most of the time. No shouting, no noise from their cabin."

He frowned, but the closeness of Dragonstone snapped him out of his thoughts. They had no time for distractions now.

John's POV

A soft knock echoed on the door.

"Come in," I said, already sensed her presence.

The door creaked open, and Roberta stepped in. Unlike the heavy layers of clothing she usually wore in the North, she was dressed more casually. The temperature aboard the ship was comfortable, and she had on one of my shirts and pants, the fabric slightly oversized on her. A robe draped over her shoulders, completing the look.

It seemed to have become a trend lately wearing robes. Maybe it was more comfortable for her out here, or maybe it was just something she'd come to prefer.

"We've reached," she said.

"Okay," I replied, starting to get up from the bed.

I already had plans to get some dragonglass. Maybe I could make bombs out of it.

"You didn't tell me yesterday, but even today, you don't seem to be feeling good," she said.

"Probably just getting over my bad luck," I muttered.

And it was true. My luck had been the brightest this time, but not in a good way.

The only useful things I got were two character cards, both female, along with some standard gacha items.

One was Mina from Darker than Black. She'd be useful as a summon, since I'm not sure if using her ability requires me to kiss a guy.

The other was Minami from Jormungand. I'd already started assimilating her to boost my knowledge of robotics.

Of course, I used a gender-bender card first. I didn't want any psychological side effects from using a female character.

Being a tinker, I could create things, but most of the time, I don't even know how I do it. I just… do it. It's crazy, but it happens.

I could probably make drone robots, but what I really needed was knowledge.

Since it will increase the stability of the things I create.

The better the resources and knowledge I have, the better the results.

Another thing I got that might be useful is a category card. As the name suggests, it can be used to categorize the traveling cards.

I'm thinking of using it for animation with the movie card I got last month

Maybe I will travel during Doraemon movies or maybe meet Megamind. The travel is random.

I still need to think it over before making a final decision.

After all, there's still time.

"Anything I can do?" she asked, probably noticing my silence.

"No," I said, shaking my head.

"Let's see if they have rooms for us or prison cells," I said, walking toward the door.

"Do you think they'll lock us up?" she asked.

"I don't know. Probably not, but there's always a chance."

As we stepped into the sunlight, Sandor appeared, carrying a box. The silence made it hard to guess what was inside unless you knew better.

We finally reached land, greeted by Tyrion, who stood with the Dothraki. His gaze briefly flicked to the box before moving to Sandor.

"I didn't think I'd see you alive," Tyrion said to him.

"Me neither, but here we are," Sandor replied.

"Good to see you all alive," Tyrion said, nodding to Jon and Jorah.

Then his attention shifted to me. "We have a guest."

"Nice to meet you," he said, extending his hand.

I shook it. "John Smith."

He nodded before turning to Roberta.

"My lady," he said, offering his hand.

Roberta gave him a blank look. "I'm not a lady."

"Okay, miss..." he trailed off.

"Rosarita Cisneros," she replied.

"Let's go. You need to rest since we'll be leaving soon," Tyrion said, signaling for us to follow.

It seemed like the decision had already been made.

We followed, with the Dothraki trailing close behind.

Upon reaching the castle, we were greeted by Missandei.

"This way," she said, leading us inside.

She reminded me of Wakanda.

I'll need to look into Klaue. And while I'm at it, I should check out the Savage Land.

I can't let Anti-Metal go to waste.
