Chapter 1: Chapter 1
"Mutation is the key to our evolution," the teacher began.
"It allowed us to evolve from single-celled organisms to the dominant species on this planet."
"This process is very slow," she continued. "Usually taking millions of years."
"But every few hundred thousand years, evolution makes a sudden leap forward…"
The midday sunlight was particularly dazzling, streaming through the windows and illuminating the students' faces.
On the stage, a heroic-looking female teacher spoke passionately about biological evolution.
In the audience, Nolin sat listlessly, twirling his pencil. His gaze wandered out the window, his thoughts drifting far away.
At that moment, he felt like he had returned to his high school days before his time travel. Back then, boring biology classes always had a mysterious power to make him sleepy.
But unlike then, he couldn't afford to doze off now!
Because he had traveled through time!
And not just any time or place—he had ended up in the Marvel Universe, where gods and demons coexisted, and aliens were as common as stray dogs!
Compared to his previous world, this one was infinitely more dangerous!
A certain "Mad Titan" advocating balance was already sharpening his sword, preparing for an infinite war that would shake the entire universe!
Deep beneath the Earth's surface, a massive Celestial named Tiamut lay dormant—a Titan hundreds of kilometers tall. Once awakened, its birth would spell the Earth's instant destruction!
Not to mention the Kang Dynasty, wielding the power of time, watching over the endless multiverse and biding its time to strike.
Of course, these threats still seemed far off.
For now, Nolin had more immediate problems—like the impending war between humans and mutants.
Because, as fate would have it—he was a mutant!
And not just any mutant. He was currently enrolled at the Xavier School for Gifted Youngsters.
"Wonderful," Nolin sighed sarcastically in his heart. "Just my luck!"
"Life is so hard. Why couldn't I have a cheat system to make things easier?"
Nolin let out a deep sigh.
Everyone knew that having a cheat system in worlds like this meant you were basically set for life. But unfortunately for him—he didn't have one.
In this perilous world, where others received overpowered starter packs, he had to rely on sheer effort and ingenuity just to survive.
However, he wasn't completely defenseless. He did have one golden ability.
"Focus! Take notes and pay attention!"
The sharp voice snapped him out of his thoughts.
On the stage stood Ororo Munroe, better known as Storm, from the X-Men. Her mutant ability allowed her to control the weather, summoning lightning, storms, and even hurricanes. Her power was formidable.
Despite her strength, however, Ororo still had weaknesses—mainly that her physical body was only slightly stronger than an average human's.
But for most mutants, her ability was already considered top-tier.
Still, like teachers everywhere, she demanded her students' full attention.
Nolin sat up straighter and pretended to listen carefully to the biology lecture.
Although Ororo wasn't a professional biology teacher, she had learned from Professor Charles Xavier himself—a man with multiple doctorates in biology and psychology.
Even so, Nolin had no intention of approaching Professor X to discuss biology.
Seeing Nolin refocus, Ororo resumed teaching.
Yet, behind Nolin's serious expression, his thoughts were already racing ahead—planning his next steps.
Two months had passed since he arrived in this world.
Back then, Nolin had woken up in captivity after being abducted by a group of people.
In this world, he was no one special—just an ordinary person from Earth. And in this place, where discrimination against mutants ran rampant, he was also an orphan with no power or connections.
When armed terrorists captured him, he had no means to resist.
Moreover, he was still sorting through fragmented memories from his past life—memories that had been locked away until now.
It was during this chaotic time that he awakened his mutant powers.
Most mutants with dormant X-genes activated their abilities during moments of intense emotional distress, often leading to uncontrollable chaos.
But Nolin's ability was… unique.
It wasn't the kind of raw, destructive power one would expect from a typical mutant awakening.
Instead, he could temporarily copy another person's mutant abilities—through bodily fluid exchange, such as kissing.
Initially, the copied ability lasted for one day and was limited to opposite-sex interactions.
However, with repeated exchanges, the time could extend—and permanent replication wasn't entirely off the table.
Additionally, physical intimacy with the opposite sex could enhance their abilities, improving their mutant level or even fixing flaws in their powers.
It was a power that seemed tailor-made for supporting others—at first glance.
But as Nolin explored it further, he realized its true potential.
For one, his copied powers could be updated anytime. If someone he had copied grew stronger, he could exchange fluids again to inherit the upgraded abilities.
Moreover, he could copy the powers of multiple mutants simultaneously, with no clear limit in sight.
Was this ability too good to be true?
Sometimes, Nolin wondered if he had inherited the powers of a succubus.
When his mutant gene activated, his appearance also subtly improved—his already handsome features became even more mesmerizing.
He practically radiated charisma, like walking hormones that could captivate any woman he met.
Though he didn't have a supernatural charm that made women fall in love at first sight, he often left a great first impression on them.
And as a bonus, his stamina and… other abilities were maxed out.
"Seriously? Are you sure this isn't a joke?!"
"Why didn't I get a system to pair with this overpowered body? With charm and stamina like this, I'd be unstoppable!"
Nolin mentally complained but still felt somewhat satisfied with his golden ability.
It had tremendous potential.
It just required a lot of… physical effort.
And how did Nolin figure all of this out?
Because the people who captured him were none other than—Hydra.
