Marvel: The Chaos Witch

It was a warm sunny day in the city of New York. Deep within the city of Manhattan, within a restaurant sat two people. One was a man with average looks, an average build while the other was an extremely beautiful woman with brown hair and pure beautiful brown eyes. The two people were seated at a secluded corner of the restaurant however even so, they were still able to become the centre of attention in the entire restaurant due to the woman's beauty. The woman, however, didn't have the luxury to pay attention to the surrounding gazes as she was currently focused on the conversation between herself and her boyfriend seating opposite her. That's right, this seemingly average looking man of an average build was her first, current and only boyfriend of one year.

She had met him a year ago in a book store and something about his ordinary face filled with bubbling excitement as he read a fiction book had attracted her. After gathering the courage to introduce herself to her, they both got to talking about their shared interest in books until finally she managed to psyche herself to ask him out on a date. The average looking man had been surprised at first but after a second of silence which almost drove Wanda mad, he agreed. This led to them going out on numerous dates afterwards transitioning from fellow book lovers to actual real-life boyfriend and girlfriend. Something she had never had or experienced before in her life that didn't bring disgust or despair to her life so the words she was hearing right now were so mind-numbingly shocking that she couldn't help but think that she had misheard.

"...…I'm sorry. Could you repeat what you said again?" asked Wanda Maximoff as she gazed her boyfriend with a trembling gaze. That's right. The beautiful woman was Wanda Maximoff, the one known across the world as the Scarlett Witch. A newly debuted superhero who was part of the newly formed Avengers group. She was considered to be one of the most powerful members in the Avengers alongside Thor and the new-born Vision due to her powerful red psychic energy manipulation. Such a fierce figure who, just days ago, had fought a powerful Villain called Ultron in Sokovia which resulted in the salvation of the entire world, was now trembling as she gazed at the man opposite her, her boyfriend of one year, asking him to repeat himself.

The average looking man sighed softly as he gazed at the powerful yet frightened beautiful woman in front of him.

"Sigh....I was saying that we should break up." Said the average looking man as he gazed at Wanda with a calm look on his face. Wanda, hearing her boyfriend's words for the second time, was frozen in shock with a look of shock and despair on her face. She had thought that she had misheard when he had said those words for the first time a few seconds ago and so she had temporarily dismissed the feeling of dread, fear, shock and hurt that had appeared within her heart. However hearing her boyfriend's words once more caused the already budding negative emotions within her heart to surge violently and for a moment they almost took over her very being. Wanda however managed to calm herself just enough to maintain her rationality however even so, all around her various items such as the restaurant's windows, glasses, tables and machines could be seen with massive cracks which were slowly spreading as the conversation between the couple continued on.

"….Can I ask why?" asked Wanda, her voice now meek and distraught. She simply couldn't understand why Adam would want to break up with her. Their relationship had been going on so well so far and even their last meeting a day before the great battle had been so great so she really couldn't imagine why he wanted to break up with her. At first she thought he had been mind controlled by a Mutant or super villain but a quick check using her psychic powers revealed that his mind was perfectly clear meaning that he was breaking up with her out of his own free will. This was quite the frightening find hence her curiosity as to why he wanted to break up with her.

Adam, or rather Adam Riley, didn't respond with words but rather pulled out his smartphone, unlocked it, and proceeded to play a video which he showed to Wanda. ON Adam's smartphone, Wanda watched the news that was displayed a few days ago which broadcasted the fight between Ultron 'an intelligent AI possessing and controlling a robot army' and the Avengers 'a group of heroes that had appeared once during the battle of New York against the Asgardian Loki and his army of Chitauri.'. The news had been captured using satellite imagery and hence was able to clearly highlight the massive destruction and deaths that occurred constantly in the battle between the two groups with even the capital city of Sokovia being lifted at one some point before eventually being brought down gently by the Avengers after they had finally managed to defeat Ultron. It afterwards showed a close up recording of the Avengers team boarding an aircraft as they left Sokovia heading to their new base built by Iron man or rather Tony Stark as he was well known.

Wanda, seeing the video showing the screaming citizens of Sokovia during her and the rest of the Avengers team against Ultron with their deaths being clearly captured in the satellite video finally understood why Adam was breaking up with her.

"…..Is it because of the death and destruction we caused?" asked Wanda as she gazed at the a part of the smartphone screen where she could see herself deflecting a robot with her red psychic energy only for it to crash into a building causing a large piece of debrie to fall off the building and crush a young man hiding behind a car next to the building, killing him instantly. She too had been haunted by the nightmares of the incidents that had occurred on that fateful day. None more so than the death of her own brother Pietro who had died saving Hawkeye, another avenger.
