Chapter 11: Chapter 11: Plans for Red Room
The grand ballroom glittered with crystal chandeliers, and the soft melody of a string quartet filled the air as Hunter and Hiroshi entered the gala. Dressed in a tailored suit, Hunter effortlessly blended with the elite crowd, while Hiroshi, equally refined, greeted acquaintances with a nod and a smile.
Amidst the crowd, Hunter noticed a group of influential figures engaged in lively conversation. He recognized a prominent business magnate, a renowned scientist, and a senator known for supporting philanthropic causes. This was the perfect opportunity to make a lasting impression.
Amidst the swirl of champagne glasses and the murmur of conversations, Hunter found himself engaged in a discussion with the scientist and the business magnate. The scientist, fascinated by Hunter's knowledge, remarked, "Mr. Grant, your commitment to innovation is truly commendable. The advancements you've mentioned could revolutionize our approach to various scientific challenges."
Hunter, with a modest smile, replied, "Thank you. It's always been my belief that technology, when wielded responsibly, can be a force for good. We're exploring possibilities that can shape a better future for everyone."
As the evening progressed, Hunter found himself in conversation with the senator. Their dialogue shifted to the importance of technology in addressing global challenges. Hunter, seizing the moment, subtly hinted at 'Grant Enterprises' commitment to making a positive impact on the world.
The culmination of these interactions set the stage for Hunter's announcement. Standing at the elegant podium, he addressed the gathered guests. "Ladies and gentlemen, tonight is not just a celebration but a moment of transformation. 'Grant Enterprises' is proud to announce the establishment of our weapons manufacturing wing. A venture that goes beyond arms and into technology that safeguards and protects."
The business magnate, intrigued by the announcement of the weapons manufacturing wing, walked to Hunter and asked, "Mr. Grant, what kind of weapons are we talking about? Something groundbreaking, I presume?"
Hunter, choosing his words carefully, responded, "Indeed, groundbreaking and innovative. We're looking at a new era of defensive technology that not only protects but also minimizes collateral damage. Efficiency and precision are at the core of our designs."
As the conversation flowed, Hunter subtly steered it toward the global impact of technology. The senator, who had joined the group, chimed in, "Mr. Grant, your vision aligns with our goals for a safer and technologically advanced world. Have you considered collaborating with governmental initiatives?"
Hunter, acknowledging the senator's perspective, replied, "Absolutely. 'Grant Enterprises' is open to collaborations that serve the greater good. Working hand-in-hand with governmental bodies can amplify our impact and bring about positive change. But I would also need some special permission from the government to use some rare and radioactive materials."
Senetor with a sly smile said, "I think we can arrange that, let's set up a meeting and discuss about this. After all there are very few things which cannot be solved by a talk."
Hunter, "Ok sir, I will have my secretary Hiroshi contact with you. Also I am also planning on expanding toward the construction business, so if you could we can also discuss that tomorrow."
The gala, a spectacle of wealth and power, provided a platform for 'Grant Enterprises' to establish its presence in the elite circles of the business and political world. The announcement of the weapons manufacturing wing, met with intrigue and curiosity, lingered in the conversations that echoed through the grand hall.
As the event reached its conclusion, Hunter and Hiroshi gracefully made their exit, leaving behind an air of anticipation. The senator, the scientist, and the business magnate exchanged knowing glances, recognizing the potential for collaboration with 'Grant Enterprises' on the horizon.
Back at the Grant Enterprises HQ, Hunter, seated in his office, reflected on the evening. The mingling of power players, the nods of approval, and the potential collaborations signaled a successful foray into the world of high-stakes business and politics. It was a step towards achieving the dual goals of expanding influence and accumulating the resources necessary for the covert operations of 'Aegis.'
With the event behind him, Hunter refocused his thoughts on the present, where he updated himself with Stark's situation and accessed the hidden door in his office to return to his bedroom.
Next morning, Hunter, deep in thought about the situation with Darkstar, was interrupted by the entrance of Azmuth and Q into his office. Their expressions indicated a sense of urgency mixed with anticipation.
Azmuth, the brilliant Galvan scientist, spoke first, "Hunter, we've located the Red Room. Q's expertise and some ingenious hacking have revealed its hidden location."
Q added, "We've managed to bypass their security protocols. The Red Room is floating in the sky, making it challenging to reach without some form of aerial transportation."
Hunter, with a spark of determination in his eyes, leaned forward. "Can we get there?"
Azmuth nodded, "Yes, but it won't be easy. We need a way to infiltrate, and conventional aircraft won't cut it. We're talking about a floating facility with advanced technology."
In Hunter's office, the atmosphere was charged with anticipation as Azmuth, Hunter, Jiraiya, and Ezio gathered to formulate a plan for infiltrating the elusive Red Room. Hunter, with a determined look, turned to Azmuth.
"Hmm... Azmuth, can we modify some drones to carry a small frog, say the size of Ezio's hidden blade here?" Hunter gestured towards the hidden blade that Ezio always keeps on himself.
Azmuth, the mastermind behind technological innovations, contemplated for a moment. "With some modifications, it's feasible. We can enhance the drones to carry a lightweight payload and deploy it at the desired altitude. It won't be a smooth ride, but it should get the job done."
"Perfect," Hunter responded. "Work on that, and let me know when it's ready."
As Azmuth left to oversee the drone modifications, Hunter turned his attention to Jiraiya and Ezio. "Jiraiya, can you accommodate Ezio when you go into frog for infiltration, like you infiltrated the Rain village? We need both of you for this mission."
Jiraiya, the experienced ninja, nodded confidently. "Of course. I've managed more challenging tasks. Ezio and I will make our way into the heart of the Red Room."
Ezio, with a subtle smirk, added, "I've infiltrated tougher places. This Red Room won't be an exception."
Hunter listened and said as he analysed the intel which they had in their hand. "So our primary objective is to assassinate Madame B and take control of the Red Room. We need a precise strike, one that catches them off guard."
Jiraiya continued, "Exactly. We'll exploit the element of surprise. Once inside, Ezio and I will navigate the facility, locate Madame B, and neutralize her. Hunter, you'll provide support and ensure our escape."
Hunter nodded, "Understood. Azmuth's drones will be our ticket in. Once you're inside, I'll be monitoring and ready to assist if things get tricky."
Hunter, leaning against his desk, addressed Jiraiya, "Jiraiya, we'll need your expertise in dealing with the Red Room's security systems. Can you take control of the fortress once we're inside?"
Jiraiya, confident in his abilities, responded, "Leave that to me. I'll make their systems dance to my tune."
Hunter then turned to Ezio, "Ezio, your role is crucial. We're counting on your stealth and precision. Your task is to neutralize the widows. We can't afford any distractions."
Ezio, with a subtle nod, acknowledged the responsibility. "I understand. The widows won't be a problem."
Jiraiya, ever the brash one, interjected, "Why not let me handle the widows? I've got a way with the ladies."
Ezio, raising an eyebrow, retorted, "Your way might get us killed. I'll handle the widows. You focus on the tech."
Hunter, intervening before the banter escalated, stated, "Ezio's right. We need someone who won't be swayed. Jiraiya, your task is the systems. Ezio, widows. We clear?"
Both men nodded in agreement.
Hunter continued, "Our primary target is Madame B, the leader of the Red Room. Assassinate her, and we can seize control. Jiraiya, once the systems are ours, ensure they stay that way."
Jiraiya grinned, "Consider it done."
Ezio, in his calm demeanor, added, "The widows won't even see it coming."
Hunter concluded, "Azmuth and I will join you after you have taken control of the Red Room to assess and help with any technological repairs. This is our chance to take control of the Red Room. Let's make it count."
As the evening set in, Hunter descended into the technological lab, a subterranean hub dedicated to the advancements and innovations that fueled 'Aegis.' The room buzzed with the hum of machinery and the occasional whirr of prototype gadgets. Azmuth, engrossed in his work, was meticulously tinkering with a drone.
Hunter approached Azmuth, his eyes scanning the array of technological marvels in the lab. "Impressive work, Azmuth. What do you have for us?"
Azmuth looked up, his eyes gleaming with a mixture of pride and focus. "We've made substantial progress in enhancing our drones. With a few modifications, we can use them for reconnaissance and communication during the Red Room mission."
Hunter nodded in approval. "Good. We'll need all the advantages we can get. Speaking of which, I have an idea regarding Madame B. Instead of directly confronting her, what if we exploit the resources provided to the Red Room?"
Azmuth paused, considering the suggestion. "Impersonate Madame B, gain access to their systems, and manipulate them from within. Clever. It would buy us time and possibly reveal more about their operations."
Azmuth returned to his work, making the necessary adjustments to the drone. "I'll ensure the drones are ready for deployment. As for the impersonation plan, we'll need a detailed understanding of Madame B's mannerisms and communication patterns."
Hunter agreed, "I understand. Jiraiya and Ezio are ready for their roles. We just need the tech support to make it seamless."
As the discussion about the Red Room operation progressed, Hunter shifted the focus to a grander vision. Leaning in, he shared his ambitious plan with Azmuth.
"Azmuth, I've been contemplating the idea of turning the Red Room into an invincible, self-sustaining flying fortress. Something that can go beyond the Earth's atmosphere if needed. A stronghold from where I can install a barrier or a shield around plant so as to repel external invasions."
Azmuth, adjusting his glasses once again, raised an eyebrow. "That's quite an ambitious plan, Hunter. Creating a fortress capable of leaving the Earth's atmosphere and providing protection requires enormous resources and technology."
Hunter acknowledged, "I understand it's not a short-term goal. For now, let's focus on a more immediate objective. I want a protective shield around the Red Room, making it the most advanced and secure facility on the planet. Something that can withstand any external threats. And can counter them."
Azmuth, intrigued by the challenge, nodded. "That, I can do. The Red Room will become a fortress with defenses and technology beyond anything seen before. Consider it done."
As plans unfolded for both the immediate mission and the future vision, the collaboration between Hunter and Azmuth delved into the realms of innovation and strategic foresight. The underground lab buzzed with activity as the foundation was laid for transforming the Red Room into a formidable entity, ready to face any challenge that lay ahead.
