Chapter 26: Chapter 26 Unprofessional Torture!

Arthur was dumbfounded by Howard.

His fervor and dedication to interrogating the spy led Arthur to believe that Howard had some expertise in this field. However, it turned out he had no idea what he was doing.

With pen and paper in hand, Howard and Morrison exchanged confused glances, and after a while, they looked to Arthur for help.

Arthur felt exasperated. "You don't know, and I don't know either!"

I haven't read any skill books on interrogation. Maybe I should go buy a couple from the bookstore next time. Is there even a subject called "interrogation studies"? Are there books on that?

"Well…"

Several people stared at each other awkwardly.

"Huff, Huff, Huff…"

A strange sound emerged, and everyone turned to Morrison, only to find him grinning with his mouth wide open.

It was incredibly awkward.

The captive was mocking his interrogators…

Veins popped on Arthur's forehead as hespoke. "You find it amusing to be mocked by me?"

Seeing this, Howard quickly asked, "Do you have a solution?"

"I have a little trick but I am not sure if it'll work." Arthur said, "First, we need to prepare something."

"Torture tools?"

"Yes, torture tools, but it's not probably what you're thinking…" Arthur explained, "Bring me two dogs and a bottle of olive oil."

Howard was perplexed, and Dr. Erskine was also puzzled. "Are you planning to serve him a poisonous midnight snack?"

"Doctor… I think your imagination would have a brighter future in writing novels than in academia."

Arthur was speechless, and then he said to Howard, "Let's take off this guy's shoes."

When Howard squatted down, he mumbled reluctantly, "I never dreamed that the first thing I would do when interrogating a captive is to take off his shoes. This thing must not… I can't believe it!"

As the shoes and socks were removed, Howard's face turned green. "I feel like I've been subjected to torture already!"

Arthur was also shocked. "Why does it smell so bad?"

Holding Morrison's socks in his hand, it felt like a toxic gas bomb. Morrison was even more delighted, laughing 'haha' with his mouth wide open.

Seeing this behavior, Arthur became annoyed and simply stuffed the stinky socks into Morrison's mouth. "Stop laughing!"

Morrison's face turned green in an instant, giving off a slight Hulk-like vibe.

Seeing that the idea was good, Howard quickly asked Arthur for help and stuffed the other sock in Morrison's mouth.

Perhaps happiness was built on the pain of others. When Morrison was enjoying himself while Arthur and Howard were nearly vomiting from the stench, now Morrison was in agony, and Arthur and Howard were enjoying themselves without a care in the world.

The two men were laughing so hard that they couldn't straighten their waists.

Dr. Erskine sighed, "Why am I here?"

As he spoke, Howard's two subordinates arrived, holding two dogs and a bottle of olive oil.

Howard quickly asked Arthur, "How do we use this?"

"It's simple, spread it on the soles of his feet, and then let the dogs lick it off."

Arthur said.

Howard was taken aback. "Is that all?"

"Do you want me to give it a try?" Arthur squinted at Howard.

"No need!" Howard quickly replied. "Let's see how effective it is."

In fact, it was incredibly effective!!!

It turned out to be an extremely cruel form of torture! Though unprofessional and childish, after just ten minutes of watching Morrison with tears streaming down his face, struggling to breathe, Howard was astonished. "Dear Lord, Arthur, how did you come up with something so positively devilish… Oh, no, I mean, genius?"

"…Read more books," Arthur said, disdainfully. While he wasn't skilled in this area, novels and movies had given him many methods to use. However, applying them was troublesome, and Arthur didn't know how to.

But tickling the soles of the feet was different… This method was usually used for amusement, but its cruelty was beyond doubt! Moreover, it wasn't fingers doing the tickling; it was the tongues of two large dogs.

The slippery and moist sensation, licking and biting the soles of the feet, was not only painful but also terrifying! However, Morrison, being a Hydra spy, wouldn't spill all his secrets just because of this method.

Arthur didn't expect to get any useful information tonight; he just wanted to vent his frustration at being mocked.

After torturing Morrison for a while, Arthur felt relieved, then said to Howard, "The doctor and I have to go; the next steps are up to you. By the way, the use of the two dogs is not limited to this… as for how to use them, it's up to you."

Arthur patted Howard's shoulder meaningfully and whispered a few words in his ear.

Howard's eyes lit up. "Arthur, you're simply a scoundrel… oh no, you're simply a genius!"

Arthur's mouth twitched. Dr. Erskine had long grown impatient and urged Arthur to leave.

Before leaving, Arthur said to Howard, "Actually, our interrogation is not very useful because we can't discern whether what he says is true or false. Just play around; don't take it too seriously. Also, don't easily believe any intelligence he provides. The best scenario is to transfer the person as soon as possible…"

Howard fell silent for a moment after hearing this but eventually nodded seriously, thinking that Arthur was right.

Finally, Howard arranged for a car to take Arthur and Dr. Erskine away.

In the car, Dr. Erskine told Arthur, "Colonel Phillips will be back tomorrow. Agent Carter's preparations on her side are complete, and we can move to the camp."

Arthur hadn't expected it to be so soon.

Thinking about Colonel Phillips, he felt a bit of a headache. He still hadn't shown any signs of awakening his memories, most likely because his "external plug-in" in that regard hadn't been renewed.

So, the longer he stayed in contact with Colonel Phillips, the more likely it was that his true identity as a "sleeper agent" would be exposed.

However, at this point, there was no other choice.

Colonel Phillips's return should signify the official operation of the Strategic Scientific Reserve.

After that, a new group of recruits should appear in the camp, right? Among them, the most dazzling star on the battlefield would be the "man with big plans under the stars and stripes."

Thinking of him, Arthur couldn't help but want to laugh. Would the upcoming days witness a magnificent transformation from a weakling to a big brother?

Thinking about it, it seemed quite interesting.
