Marvel's Magic Master: I Have a Clone in the Harry Potter World!

Chapter 72: Chapter 72: The Muggle-Repelling Charm

A wand can enhance spellcasting speed and power, making it indispensable in any world. With a wand, George's strength would easily double.

Compared to the Marvel universe, this magic-filled world provided a better opportunity to acquire wand-making materials.

While George's feline avatar diligently studied the magic of this new world, his true body wasn't idle either.

One day, George stood at the school gate alongside Professor X, Wolverine, Gabriela, Laura, Caliban, and the children.

"Are you sure this will work?" Wolverine asked skeptically, puffing on a cigar. Having lived for so many years, he found it hard to believe such abilities existed.

Professor X, on the other hand, remained calm.

"You need to trust George. Our abilities are varied and often unpredictable. I believe he knows what he's doing."

Given George's cautious nature, Professor X knew he wouldn't make such claims unless he was completely confident. If George had brought them out of the basement, he had a solid plan.

George responded by casting a spell: "Wings!"

A pair of white magical wings emerged from his back, lifting him into the sky. From above, he waved his hands and began to chant.

Spell after spell shot out, forming a large barrier that enveloped the entire mutant school.

The Muggle-Repelling Charm was specifically designed to deter non-magical beings. Once cast, ordinary humans passing nearby would subconsciously ignore the school's existence as if it had vanished from reality, automatically taking alternate routes.

Unless George explicitly revealed the location, ordinary humans would remain oblivious to the school's presence.

Landing gracefully, George turned to the group. "Let's check out the results."

As they exited the school grounds, Wolverine glanced back, only to find that the school was gone. "Oh, shit! It's really not there," he muttered in disbelief.

What surprised him more was that the absence felt perfectly normal, as though nothing had ever been there. Usually, when a building disappeared, one would notice the empty space it left behind. But now, there was no such sensation—just the seamless illusion of nothingness.

"Look, there it is!" George pointed toward the school, and it reappeared as if by magic. The children gasped in awe.

"To see the school again, just use this glass bead," George explained, handing Wolverine a small marble infused with magic. Holding the bead would counteract the charm, allowing its bearer to see the school.

Still, George acknowledged that the charm wasn't foolproof. It could deceive ordinary people, but it wouldn't stop missiles or other direct attacks. He planned to add reinforced protective spells later for greater security.

"This is amazing! The kids no longer have to stay cooped up in the basement," Gabriela said, her face lighting up with joy. The children cheered, ecstatic to finally bask in sunlight and enjoy the fresh air.

"Remember, everyone—stay within the school grounds," George warned.

To ensure security, only Wolverine, Professor X, Gabriela, Laura, and Caliban received marbles to bypass the barrier. George feared that if a mischievous child wandered off and lost the marble, it could fall into the wrong hands.

Back at the school, George turned to Wolverine.

"How's Tony Stark doing lately?"

Wolverine, puffing on his cigar, replied, "Since the press conference, he hasn't been out much—just visited an airbase once. Most of the time, he's been holed up in his mansion. I guess the kidnapping shook him up."

"It's not just that," George mused. "He's probably finishing the armor he started in that desert cave. Let him work; we'll intervene later."

George suspected Stark was still months away from completing the Iron Man suit. Once it was ready, however, George planned to confront Zander Rice, the scientist responsible for creating the mutant children, as well as dangerous clones like X-24 and himself.

George hadn't forgotten the threat posed by Zander Rice. Passively waiting for an attack wasn't his style. If Rice could create mutants and clones, who knew what other monstrosities he might be developing?

George's plan was simple: once Stark's suit was complete, they'd take the fight directly to Rice. Stark's suit would provide immense firepower, far surpassing George's current magic or mutant abilities, despite its vulnerabilities.

With George's tracking spells, pinpointing Rice's location wouldn't be an issue. Alongside Wolverine and Stark, they'd launch an offensive to eliminate Rice before he could escalate his experiments further.

This proactive approach would ensure the safety of the school and everyone in it, giving George peace of mind as he continued to navigate his dual roles in this magical and mutant-filled world.
