Marvel's Magic Master: I Have a Clone in the Harry Potter World!

Chapter 92: Chapter 92: Tracking Black Widow

The Black King was undeniably a formidable mutant. Even his cloned version was leagues ahead of typical mutant clones.

With the ability to absorb various forms of energy and convert it into devastating attacks, his potential was terrifying. Whether it was technologically advanced weapons like bombs or missiles, physical melee damage, or even magical and energy-based attacks, he could absorb them all.

But he wasn't without weaknesses. His biggest vulnerability was being susceptible to psychic abilities.

To counteract this, the original Black King had crafted a helmet that could shield him from psychic control—a helmet that later became synonymous with Magneto. Without that helmet, he stood no chance against Professor X's mind-controlling powers.

The cloned version lacked such protection, and while George's psychic abilities weren't strong enough to immobilize the clone outright, nor did he possess mind-controlling black magic like the Imperius Curse, he did have the Confundus Charm.

The Confundus Charm could cloud someone's thoughts, acting as a form of psychic interference.

In truth, George suspected the clone's energy absorption abilities were far inferior to the original Black King. If he swung his spiked mace hard enough and repeatedly, the clone likely couldn't withstand it. But that would waste time—something the Confundus Charm saved him from.

"Stupefy!"

George aimed another stunning spell at Rice, but once again, a mutant clone stepped forward to block it.

This time, it was a young version of Professor X's clone. Unlike the Black King clone, Professor X's clone couldn't absorb magic and was instantly rendered unconscious.

Initially, George planned to kill him outright, but a thought struck him. Acting on impulse, he grabbed the unconscious clone and stuffed him into his magically enhanced pocket, expanded with an Undetectable Extension Charm.

If his memory served him right, Professor X once survived death by transferring his consciousness into the body of his twin brother, who was in a comatose vegetative state.

The young Professor X clone might serve a similar purpose—providing a healthy, able-bodied vessel for transferring consciousness. Though it might not restore him to his former level as a Class 4 mutant, it would at least give him mobility and freedom from his wheelchair.

More importantly, George considered him a potential candidate to help run a future superhuman academy.

"Stupefy!"

George cast a third stunning spell, and another clone stepped forward to intercept it.

Rice had programmed his mutant clones with a top directive: to protect him at all costs. This ensured they would sacrifice themselves without hesitation if his life was in danger, making them his most loyal pawns.

Rice, emboldened by his creations' self-sacrifice, sneered.

"I never imagined you'd possess so many abilities. But it's useless! Soon, you'll be nothing more than an ordinary human. I'll dissect your body and replicate your powers to create countless clones as powerful as you. Together, they'll conquer the world in my name!"

With clone after clone throwing themselves at George, Rice managed to reach the control panel of the laboratory's nutrient chamber. Excitedly, he pressed a button.

George's immense power had both terrified and thrilled him. Rice was eager to turn this unprecedented strength into his ultimate weapon.

"Turn me into an ordinary human? How naive!"

George smashed the Phoenix clone into a bloody pulp with his spiked mace, casually slicing off a lock of her hair with a blade and pocketing it.

The hair would serve as a ready-made wand core—no need to bother with future cloning experiments for such materials.

As for Rice's so-called trump card, George had a hunch about what it might be. While it could pose a serious threat to other mutants—even the genuine Black King, Magneto, or Professor X—it would hardly faze him.

Sure enough, as Rice pressed the button, a special nutrient pod rose from the lab's center. The pod slowly opened, revealing a bald boy inside.

At the boy's appearance, George immediately felt his magnetic and psychic abilities vanish.

"A clone of the mutant Leech."

The child was none other than Leech, a mutant whose ability nullified the powers of others within his vicinity.

Though Leech lacked offensive capabilities, his mere presence suppressed all mutant powers, even those of Class 4 or 5 mutants, earning him the title of the "Mutant Cure."

He was also regarded as the bane of mutants—mutants who despised their own powers considered him a blessing.

"Experiment 757, I admit you're strong, but now you're just an ordinary human!"

At the same time, a squad of guards entered the hall, armed and ready. Rice's confidence surged.

However, George casually hurled his spiked mace at the guards, instantly crushing more than half of them.

"If Leech's powers worked on me, I wouldn't still be in my giant form, would I?

"Idiot. My powers have never been purely mutant-based."

George drew his alloyed longsword, unleashing a barrage of magical spells that immobilized the remaining guards and clones. He then picked up his spiked mace and dispatched them with brutal efficiency before turning his attention to a trembling Rice.

"Experiment 757, we could work together—conquer the world side by side."

"You know nothing about the world."

George interrupted Rice's desperate proposal with a sneer, dismissing his giant transformation and slipping his ring back on.

From Rice's scattered thoughts, George saw through the man's delusions. With these subpar mutant clones, conquering the world was laughable.

If someone like Tony Stark were involved, Rice's control system could likely be hacked by J.A.R.V.I.S., reversing control over these clones.

"Madam Natalie... could she be Black Widow?"

As George sifted through Rice's memories, a particular name caught his attention.

The mention of "Madam Natalie" immediately made him think of Natasha Romanoff—Black Widow, S.H.I.E.L.D.'s famed super-spy.

"It seems S.H.I.E.L.D. is also aware of Rice's mutant gene experiments. I can't let Black Widow get her hands on this research."

George activated the guards' grenades simultaneously, detonating them to destroy the hall. Amid the chaos, he rushed toward the archive room where Rice's research was stored.

"Not here. Did she fail, or has she already succeeded?"

After confirming the absence of research data, George didn't immediately pursue Madam Natalie. Instead, he made a backup of Rice's laboratory data, then destroyed the archive room entirely.

Once the destruction was complete, he cast a tracking spell.

"Homenum Revelio!"

A trail of glowing footprints appeared before him, leading out of the archive room.
