Carmella carmine was doing some paperwork thanks to the ransom she was behind on it and she was getting tired but days of hell made her get used to the heavy paperwork it was then that someone close to her came through her door.

Carmella: zestial nice to see you what made you drop by?

Zestial: I figured since since I have some free time I might as well visit you.

Carmella: well I appreciate the consent but i myself don't have free time ever since my daughters were kidnapped my work was piling up.

Zestial see how tired Carmella was and he decided that she deserved some rest he grabbed her hand and guided her to a more comfortable chair.

Carmella: zestial I'm busy.

Zestial: I can tell you are tired Carmella and you deserve some time to rest now if you excuse me I will make some tea for both of.

Carmella wanted to protest but she looked at herself in the window reflection and she did look tired so she didn't bother fighting zestial about this.

While zestial was preparing the tea he decided to ask something.

Zestial: Carmella if you don't mind answering but who exactly did you sent to save your daughters because I know that you would have jumped in save them yourself.

Carmella: you know the human that is hell?

Zestial: ah I see so you know him?

Carmella: my daughter Clara met him and she gave me his phone number and zestial.

Carmella looked at zestial with serious eyes and zestial waited for what she was gonna say.

Carmella: that boy killed an angel.

Zestial's hand stopped stirring the tea and he looked at Carmella and he saw the seriousness in her face.

Zestial: did someone found out?

Carmella: somehow nobody saw the body or what max did.

Zestial: so that's his name?

Carmella: yes it's a quite a simple name.

Zestial finished the tea and gave a cup to Carmella and one for himself and when Carmella took a sip she felt her head was washing away the stress.

Zestial: better?

Carmella: better..thanks zestial.

Zestial: anytime.

The doors opened and Clara was there with her phone in her hand.

Clara: mother sorry to interrupt mother but-

Clara saw that her mother wasn't alone.

Clara: zestial is you.

Zestial: hello Clara don't mind me you have something to say?

Clara: right it's max he called me and he said that he needed to talk to you.

Carmella: pass me the phone.

Clara did as her mother requested and passed her the phone which was in the middle of a call.

Carmella: max?

Max: hey Carmella sorry to bother but remember the day your daughters were kidnapped?

Carmella: what about it?

Max: well apparently it wasn't just that an imp name striker sneaked into your armory and stole a rifle to kill a royalty.

Carmella: what!? Does he still have it!?

Max: no he left it behind when he was caught and I have it in its case and I'm making my way to the pride ring.

Carmella: thank god.

Max: but Carmella tell me the truth this rifle has white patterns like those mobs had obviously that means they are special weapons so out with it if these weapons are strong enough to kill demon royalty why would you have it?

Carmella was contemplating whether to lie or just hang up right then and there but that would rise more suspicion and max seem to trust her but she can't read minds so she wasn't sure.

Carmella saw how zestial was listening into the conversation and she remembered the many times zestial helped her out so she decided to take a gamble.

Carmella: can you promise you won't do anything with this information?

Max: let's wait till I'm there and then we can talk about details.

Carmella: that's fine I'll be waiting.

Max: I'll try not to be late.

After that max hung up and Carmella was still having trouble deciding whether max was trust worthy of her secret but she knew it was too late to say forget about it.

Clara saw this and she decided to at least give her mother a bit of hope.

Clara: mother I think you can trust max he doesn't seem to care much.

Carmella: you don't know that Clara.

At I.M.P the van parked in it's spot and max was the first one to get out he was in a hurry to talk with Carmella about the gun he grabbed the case and flew off.

Luckily blizo didn't object and let him go he he created black wings and flew towards Carmella's home when he got there he saw odett waiting by the main entrance.

He landed and he disagreed his wings and walked towards odett.

Odett: hey max you came quickly.

Max: well I did call your mom while I was getting back.

Odett saw the case that max had on him and she guessed that the rifle was there.

Odett: may I?

Max gave the case to odett and went to were Carmella was and when he got there he saw an unfamiliar face.

Max: a friend of yours?

Carmella: yes zestial meet max max this is zestial he is an overlord just like me.

Zestial extended his large hands for a hand shake.

Zestial: it's a pleasure to meet the infamous human in hell.

Max shook zestial's hand but since he just met him he wasn't sure if he trusted him.

Carmella: well with introduction out of the way max place take a seat.

He did just that and Carmella braced herself to explain herself.

Carmella: I asked you one the phone can I trust you with this?

Max: go ahead.

Carmella took that as a yes and explained.

Carmella: when extermination day happens some exorcist leave their weapons behind and demons took advantage of this and made weapons to overthrow one another and it was getting out of control until I took control of that me and my daughter confiscate any angel enchanted weapons we find so that something like this doesn't happen.

Max: so angelic weapons are the only way to kill sinners?

Zestial: yes and Carmella here only made angelic enchanted weapons in case she has to defend herself if heaven decides to get forcefull we overlords are save form them but things don't last long.

Max: I can see why.

Carmella: so what do you think?

Max only had one thing to say.

Max: meh

Carmella and everyone else weren't expecting that response.

Carmella: meh? That's it?

Max: honestly it not exactly rocket science and if you think that I'm going to do something with those angelic weapons I don't I have my own armory and I can kill angels easily with my own blade honestly I'm not that surprised.

Carmella felt like all her worries were for nothing because she could tell that max was genuinely uninterested in angelic weaponry.

Carmella: I see so can I trust you to keep this a secret?

Max made a motion with his finger and made a zipper motion around his mouth to say "my lips are sealed"

Carmella: good

Max: well if that's all I got to go.

Zestial: leaving already?

Max: I kinda have to help out Charlie with the hotel and she told me that there was boxes to move.

Zestial: you are helping the princess with her redemption plan?

Max: more like giving a hand and in return I get a place to stay.

Zestial: I see young man if you don't mind me asking do you believe in redemption?

Max wasn't sure why he was asking this but he answered anyway.

Max: yeah if someone actually has regret for killing someone else I can sympathize but when it comes to people who take pleasure in murder like it's some kinda game they will be put down like rabbid animals that's my rule anyway.

Zestial is somewhat surprised at the human boy having a good head on his shoulders and now he sees why Clara trust him.

Zestial: well that's good to know sorry for stopping you.

Max took it as a sign that he can leave so he took his leave leaving just the carmines and zestial and Carmella was curious on why he ask zestial that question.

Carmella: zestial why did you ask him that?

Zestial: well Carmella I might not look it but I can read people and I can see that boy isn't normal he is more aware of his surroundings and he seems to be self aware of his own ideals and he seems like someone who will kill if it means protecting someone close to whether family or friend that's how I judge you when we first met the more time we spend together I knew that you weren't a bad person other wise you wouldn't be seeing me much.

Carmella took those words to heart she didn't know max's character completely but she could at least tell that he isn't the kind of person to back stab someone unless he is betrayed first she then realized how lucky she was to have someone like max on his good side because if Carmella was stupid enough to do something bad to him he won't take it lightly so zestial is right that max won't betray her trust unless she does it first.

At the stolas mansion Octavia was having dinner with her family and during it her mother made a phone call and when she listen in she heard her mother say"I want this cheating prick dead I don't care who you have to go through make it happen!"

And she saw how her mother was looking directly at her dad who was oblivious either because he thinks it's another one of her snapping moments or he developed a way to block her out either way Octavia wasn't going let this slide.

When dinner was done she got into her room and for the first time in a while Octavia was the one who was worried about her dad sure he was skilled at magic but max was right on the part that her dad doesn't have much in fighting experience she remembered her decision and now that she know for sure that her mom is planning to kill her dad she wasn't going let that happen.

She decided to just sleep and call max tomorrow.

(For those who are zestial fans sorry but I can't speak tarot my tongue just gets twisted trying to come up with a speaking pattern where there is thou in it so sorry to disappoint but speaking like that or typing like that would have gave me a headache)
