Chapter 165: Chapter 164:- Annihilation of HPSC
(Kaina's POV)
Back in the meeting room, still disguised as Izuku, I listened to the elders' bullshit about maintaining peace and safety.
"We have a special task for you," one of the elders said. "This task is of the utmost importance. It's about maintaining peace and safety in our society. We need someone with your skill set to help us neutralize threats that the public doesn't even know about."
I listened intently as they spoke, their words heavy with praise and superiority, glorifying their work. My anger rose, remembering how these same words had once been used to deceive me.
"You see, Toji," the first elder said, leaning forward, "there are individuals out there who pose a serious risk to the stability of our society. These people need to be dealt with discreetly. Your role would be to remove these threats before they can cause harm."
"We're offering you a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity," the second elder added. "You would be credited with saving countless lives, ensuring peace and safety for everyone. It's a noble task, and only someone of your caliber can handle it."
My brow furrowed as I processed their words, as they started openly talking about neutralizing people. I took a deep breath, feeling my rage bubbling beneath the surface. I looked directly at the elders.
"Are you asking me to kill people?" I asked bluntly, maintaining my composure despite the storm of emotions inside me.
'If you guys are going to be blunt, then I'll also be blunt,' I thought as I looked at the elders.
The elders exchanged glances, their smiles faltering slightly.
"Toji, you have to understand," the first elder said, trying to regain control of the conversation. "These individuals are dangerous. They threaten everything we've worked to build. This is about protecting society."
I shook my head, my fists clenched under the table. "No, this is about you wanting to use me to get rid of people you don't like. I'm not a killer for hire." My rage leaked out.
The room fell silent, the tension thick in the air. The elders' faces hardened, and I could see the anger and frustration in their eyes.
"You don't understand the gravity of the situation," the second elder said, his tone icy. "This is about survival. Our survival. Your refusal to cooperate could have dire consequences."
"I understand perfectly," I replied, standing my ground. "But I won't be a tool for your vendettas. You all will be tools for my vendettas instead."
The second elder's face reddened with anger. "You will agree to this, or we will wreck your career. You will never be a hero again."
'Calm down, don't get angry, instead mock them, make fun of them, you'll enjoy it more' Izuku said through the chip.
The elders glared at me, their previous warmth replaced by cold fury.
"You'll regret this," the first elder spat. "We offered you everything, and you threw it away. Remember that."
"Who said I'm going to regret it, it's you people who'll regret it," I said with a smile.
The room was tense, the air thick with unspoken threats. I stood my ground, enjoying the expressions the elders were giving me. I looked at them, my gaze unwavering.
'Tell them you know everything about them, and how you were framed, and that they are just greedy pigs who lick rich people's ass' instructed Izuku.
"You think I don't know who you people are?" I said, my voice steady but charged with anger. "I know exactly what you do. You kill people and blame your so-called tools, turning them into fugitives when they refuse to obey your orders.
You are nothing more than greedy pigs who just lick the ass of anyone who pays them, heck Dogs are better than you, at least they don't bite their masters, but you guys will kill each other for money, greedy pigs." As I spit on the side showing my disgust.
The elders' faces went from shocked to enraged in an instant. The first elder, his scowl deepening, leaned forward. "Don't act too cocky, you are just a 15-16-year-old kid, you can be easily replaced, there are more than enough people who are dying to get this job.
People with quirks that are far more versatile than yours, so don't think we can replace you, and where did you get this information?" he demanded, his voice low and dangerous.
I met his gaze with a cold, determined stare. "From your previous tool. Kaina Tsutsumi, aka Lady Nagant, told me everything about you. And by the way, she's my woman now." I said with a smile on my face, giving up all the respect and manners I had shown before.
However, I was very embarrassed on the inside calling myself his woman with that smile on my face.
'You are so cute,' said Izuku, which embarrassed me even further.
'Don't tease me, let me concentrate,' said Kaina as she just wanted to bury herself somewhere.
'Okay okay, let yourself lose, sit like how I sit,' instructed Izuku
I nodded as I sat comfortably, taking as much space as I wanted, with my arms wide apart from each other, my left leg resting on my right thigh as if I were the boss of this place.
This was something I learned from Izuku, who whenever sat, took as much place as he wanted, without being apologetic.
Something I had seen so many times that I could easily imitate it. However, whenever I did it, I didn't feel much, wondering why Izuku did it. But now, as I was acting as Izuku, I understood why he did that, and I enjoyed it as well.
'Keep going, you are doing great, stall them for a little longer, I'm almost done, I'll let you know when I'm finished,' Izuku's voice echoed in my head, and I responded internally, 'Understood.'
The elders' eyes widened in surprise and anger. The second elder slammed his fist on the table. "Kaina, that bitch is still alive?" he barked, his voice filled with fury.
"You know, when you bark like that, you remind me of my neighbor's dog," I said mockingly. "He's just a puppy beagle, yet he barks as if he's an American pit bull. It's hilarious, and you remind me of him. Isn't it great, second elder?"
I was furious at being called a bitch, but when I saw the second elder's face, he looked like a barking dog, which made me laugh. Izuku was right, mocking him felt great, something I had always wanted to do.
"How dare you make fun of me, me, a respectable elder of the society who has done—" The second elder, furious at being mocked by a mere kid, had his blood boiling, his face turning purple in anger. However, I cut him off mid-sentence.
"Respectable elder of the society who has done so much for society blah blah blah, please don't bore me with that crap," I said, yawning at his words.
"You have turned senile, second elder," I continued, my tone dripping with sarcasm. "I know a good mental hospital for elderly people. If you want, I can get you a bed there. They'll give you a good discount."
The second elder, who was about to lunge at me, was stopped by the first elder. The first elder, shocked to see me acting so cockily, quickly turned his shock into a mocking laugh. "So, you've chosen to align yourself with that fugitive? Do you think you can escape the same fate?" he asked.
The first elder's expression turned cold. "Kaina Tsutsumi was a fool," he said harshly. "She was weak and let her emotions get the better of her. If this is what you've chosen, then you'll also have the same fate as her."
'How dare you!' I wanted to shout, wanting to slam my hands on the table. 'You twisted my sense of duty, used me for your gain, and now you dare to call me weak? You're the ones who are weak, hiding behind lies and manipulation!' I cursed the elders for ruining my life.
'Don't react, let them say whatever they want. When we enact our revenge, use all these words as a catalyst to increase your anger, so that when death arrives for them, you turn into the grim reaper and give them a death they never imagined.
Make them regret making you go through all that, remember, Revenge is a dish best-served cold, give them a cold-blooded death, tell them you aren't afraid of them,' Izuku instructed.
I clenched my fists, feeling the adrenaline surge through my body. "I'm not afraid of you. I am not your pawn, but you guys are mine, and this is retribution for what you did to Kaina."
The elders' expressions shifted from anger to sinister amusement. "You're making a big mistake, Toji," the first elder said, his tone dripping with condescension. "We gave you a chance to be a hero, to be celebrated. Now, you've thrown it all away."
The second elder, still fuming with anger, sneered. "We'll make sure you regret this decision. Just like Kaina, you'll be hunted and vilified. No one will see you as a hero. You'll be removed from the UA and will be reduced to nothing but a criminal in the eyes of the world."
'I'm done, you can start letting loose, I've got the evidence that proves your innocence, you no longer need to hide in the building, you can roam freely without having to worry about being caught or attacked, you are soon going to be a free girl,' said Izuku.
I felt a surge of happiness on hearing that, so much so that I wanted to jump on Izuku and give him a deep kiss, but since he wasn't here yet, and I had enough of hearing them, spew nonsense about me.
I decided to end it, as I said in a cold and menacing tone, "I'm already a criminal. I have killed more people than your collective age," I said firmly. "You think you have the power even to touch me."
"What do you mean by that?" the first elder continued, "Who are you?"
"You don't know me? I'm the one whose replacement you were searching for in Toji." I said as I stood up, and my clothes started changing into that of a female, specifically purple battle gear, something I wore when I went on a mission.
Just as I said that I could see two blood-red eyes behind the first elder, which meant Izuku was here
Soon, I reverted to my original appearance, revealing that I was the one who came with Hawks and not Izuku.
Elders were shocked to see Kaina in front of them, 'we had been talking all this to Kaina, and weren't even able to recognize her, and more importantly, how did she get in here.' These were the collective thoughts of all the elders.
"I've also brought you guys a present," I said, pointing towards the wall behind the first elder. A silhouette could be seen emerging as I continued, "My boyfriend has been dying to meet you guys. You can call him Thanatos."
Izuku, dressed in an all-black stealth suit and a black orca mask, stepped out from behind the first elder.
"Nice to meet you gentlemen, who are soon going to be dead men, greetings from Thanatos." Said Izuku with a sinister smile on his face.
