Chapter : Hi, USEЯ ИAME! That's what you need to know...
There are a few things you need to know about this book before even opening it—for our mutual satisfaction as author and reader.
First:
The pacing in general is SLOW. S L O W. SSSS LLLLL OOO... well, you get it. I can write fast-paced action. I will. I do. If you like ass-kicking fights, you'll probably enjoy my chapters written in that style, like the Sport Festival final part with mind-blowing action.
But to get there, you should also enjoy my usual, turtle-like, non-action-packed writing.
Otherwise, it just won't work.
Second:
You don't know the plot. You might think you do, or at least think you know the direction, but you don't. You have NO idea where it's going or where it ends. Nobody does. Not even the readers on my other platforms. Not even the author himself knows, because he's just a meat suit for an advanced AI from Nibiru, controlled solely for the purpose of conveying this hell of a good story.
And yeah—think what you want, but sometimes even the smallest details here and there are actually crucial to the plot orchestrated by Nibiru's AI. Even if you think it's not moving, it is.
You just don't see it yet.
Third:
Jokes. I joke a lot. Not all of them you'll get; sometimes even I don't get them, and they get me instead. But if you find any of my jokes funny, let me know, so I won't be the only one suffering from my sense of humor.
Fourth:
I deeply elaborate on and develop the characters from the original story. You'll get lots of POVs. You'll get a lot of—like, A HELL OF A LOT OF—human interactions, situational comedy, and slice of life. Sometimes, whole chapters will be that fluffy.
You've been warned.
Fifth:
You'll also get some romance, but not at the beginning of the story. There are many characters in the book. Some of them are girls. Pretty girls, in fact. But, believe it or not, the very fact that they're girls and he's the MC doesn't necessarily mean there's a harem. Nope. Just normal, though funny, refreshing, and realistic (yet canonical) human interactions.
For once and for all, it's a THORNY path, not a HORNY one!
Sixth:
The fic was initially inspired by the infamous "Harry Potter and the Methods of Rationality." If you've read it, you already know what to expect, and if not... it's a rationalfic. The character reads, thinks, and analyzes a lot. The people around him do the same. They perform experiments with their quirks, make assumptions, and those assumptions are not always correct.
Sometimes, an entire chapter will be about tests the MC and co. are conducting, or half of it will explore some detailed, original or non-original concept. Lots of internal monologue, OK?
And, by the way, the MC is kinda smart and cunning, but he's definitely not the only one.
Seventh:
The main character sometimes reflects tangentially (letting me weave in some interesting facts I feel like writing about), and actually, there's a plot-based reason for that. But it will get better. Eventually.
Eighth:
The main character grows in power. At some point, he will definitely SURPASS the almighty All Might. However, the path will be thorny. That's the whole point! I want to show you that it's HARD to become powerful. It takes time. It costs blood and sweat. Every power-up is earned.
Every upgrade has its reasons, though some aren't necessarily explained right off the bat.
But they will be, later.
Ninth:
It might not seem like it, but I guess I'm actually most skilled in bloody and gruesome scenes, particularly brutal death scenes, and those will definitely be in here as well. But it'll take some time to get there, too.
And lastly, most importantly:
Erm... seems I forgot.
Anyway, thank you for reading this. If you liked what you saw here, then the book probably has a new reader. And if not—don't eat the cactus, my friend. I hope you'll find a better novel for you.
Good luck!
