Chapter 3: 3
Serin, now four years old, was a gorgeous child. Her white hair shimmering softly in pigtails, a pale complexion like moonlight, and deep brown eyes that glowed with warmth and wisdom beyond her years. Despite her young age, she had already begun showing signs of the power that ran through her veins, inherited from the Moon Goddess herself.
Her father, the alpha, adored her fiercely, while her mother, Lyana, had starting to tolerate her presence. But still she never let ho the chance of reminding the little child that she is a burden. Despite the whispers that still spread through the pack about the Omega child born to their alpha, Serin was surrounded by love from her father and his pack.
But outside the safety of her home, the world was cruel.

Serin sat cross-legged on the soft grass behind the pack's training grounds, her small fingers gripping a piece of chalk. Her tongue sticking out of her mouth as she tried to trace the alphabet given by the teacher.
However, it wasn't long before the peace of the moment was shattered.
"Why are you wasting your time, Omega?" sneered a voice behind them. It was the son of the beta, flanked by the alpha heir of a neighboring pack. Their laughter echoed, harsh and mocking.
Serin looked at them with doe eyes. " Dad says to study hard, so I can be a strong leader!" She said smiling.
The alpha and beta duo laughed at her. "Omega's are only for breeding they can never be strong stupid!" "You'll never be an alpha, no matter how much you try. You're just an Omega. You'll always be beneath us."
Serin's small body stiffened, and she clutched the slate with trembling hands. The teasing was nothing new, but it still hurt, the words sinking into her like barbed wire.
Serin's eyes watered. Her heart raced, her tiny fists clenched, and in that moment, something within her snapped. A surge of power, wild and uncontrollable, flowed from her.
The air around her shimmered, and the ground beneath the bullies began to ripple as if the earth itself was reacting to her emotions. A wave of energy surged forward from her small frame, pushing the two children backward, knocking them off their feet with a force they couldn't comprehend.
The beta's sone backed away with shock and fear. "What the hell was that?" he gasped, staring at Serin in horror.
Serin stood frozen, her eyes wide with confusion and a hint of fear. She hadn't meant to do that, hadn't even understood what was happening.
Her caretaker who suddenly came to his senses, rushed to her. He calmed her down and ran with her to the main house. When alpha listened got to know the story the whole room went tense. Siren stood with her head down.
Lyana paced the room, her face tight with frustration. She turned sharply, her voice cutting through the silence.
"This is exactly what I warned you about!" she snapped, her hands trembling with anger. "I told you that having an Omega for a daughter would bring nothing but shame and trouble to this family!"
The alpha, calm yet visibly weary, stood by the window, his arms crossed. He sighed, his voice measured but firm.
"She is our daughter, Lyana. She is a blessing."
Lyana's eyes blazed. "Blessing? Did you see what happened today? She nearly hurt those children! What if she had done something worse? What will the pack think of us, of you, if they find out about her… condition?"
"Her 'condition' is a gift." the alpha replied, his voice rising slightly but still controlled. "She didn't hurt anyone. She's a child, Lyana—a child trying to navigate a power even we don't fully understand."
Lyana shook her head, her pale features hardening. "You can keep calling it a gift, but it's a curse, and you know it. An Omega with powers? That's unheard of, unnatural. You should have let me___"
"Let you what?" the alpha interrupted, his voice turning cold as he stepped closer. "Abandon her? Reject her like you wanted to the day she was born? She is ours, Lyana. She is my blessing. And I will not allow you to treat her like she's anything less than that."
Lyana's lips pressed into a thin line, her hands clenching at her sides.
"Fine!" she hissed. "Protect her. Defend her. But when the pack turns on her—and they will—don't come to me and say I didn't warn you."
She stormed out of the room, leaving the alpha standing there, his expression unyielding but his heart heavy. He turned around only to see little serin hiding behind her caretaker. Her lips trembling as she watched her mother being angry because if her again.
"I didn't mean to hurt them..." Serin whispered, her voice small and filled with guilt. Her heart raced as she looked at her father, afraid that he will be angry with her too.
The alpha looked down at his daughter, his gaze softening. "Blessing, you didn't hurt them. You just… reacted. You have power inside you, a gift. But you must learn to control it, to understand it."
Serin looked up at him, her brown eyes wide with confusion. "But… I don't understand. Why did I do that?"
"You're special." the alpha said quietly, lifting her into his arms. "But your power comes with responsibility. You're an Omega, yes, but that doesn't make you weak. It makes you different. You are not like the others. You have the potential to be something more."
Serin nestled her head against his shoulder, her small hands clutching his shirt. She was frightened by what she had just done, but her father's words, his embrace, made her feel a little better.
From then on the alpha decided to homeschool her with the pack's best teachers. And also planned for her to learn about her powers more. That would start on the day of her 6th birthday.
