Chapter 22: I, the Geo Archon Morax with 2.1 Billion Mora, Have Joined a Chat Group [22]
"Nana, the ship is almost there."
On the vast, endless ocean, a battleship cut through the waves at full speed.
Standing on the swaying deck, a soldier with a straight posture was chatting with a high school girl dressed in a uniform.
The soldier's demeanor appeared kind, but his words were anything but gentle.
"Nana, do you still remember your mission?"
"Yes, I remember, Mr. Tsuruoka," Nana replied without hesitation. "To kill those who will cause significant harm to humanity—the enemies of mankind."
"Good. Don't forget your duty. Those monsters, utterly different from ordinary people, are enemies of all humanity. Their existence is the reason this world cannot know peace."
Tsuruoka nodded with satisfaction and continued indoctrinating the girl standing before him.
"On a smaller scale, many heinous crimes in society are caused by those with superpowers. The child abduction and murder cases six months ago, the girl imprisonment case a year ago, the Akihabara bombing two years ago, and even the catastrophic attacks of the Psychic Cult of Natural Heartflow ten years ago—all were perpetrated by individuals wielding supernatural abilities."
"Even your parents were killed by a superpowered individual."
"And on a larger scale, in places like Africa, Syria, Afghanistan, and even South America and Mexico, paramilitary groups formed by superpowered individuals slaughter civilians indiscriminately."
"Once they gain abilities beyond the ordinary, they begin to see themselves as superior beings."
'A heart wielding a blade will inevitably harbor thoughts of killing.'
"They disregard the laws of humanity and hold no respect for the lives of ordinary people."
"Such beings have driven society to the brink of collapse."
"Only by eliminating them completely can we truly take responsibility for humanity."
"Do you understand, Nana?"
As Tsuruoka spoke, determination gradually filled Nana's gaze. She looked at the soldier who had raised her and slowly nodded.
"Yes, sir! I understand, sir!"
So, the superpowered individuals in this world are entirely different from those in the chat group.
In the worlds of the chat group members, superpowers are a common part of life. They don't see themselves as superior to others.
They help ordinary people, travel to other worlds to maintain peace, and respond to disasters. They're like superheroes from the movies.
But in this world, superpowered individuals view themselves as superior, becoming enemies of humanity. Like in the movies, those with such beliefs are always the supervillains.
That's why superpowered individuals in this world are humanity's enemies. Otherwise, why would they kill my parents? Why commit so many horrific crimes?
"I'm glad you understand." Tsuruoka nodded approvingly. "Remember, trust your phone. The information on it is infallible. It comes from the joint calculations of several nations' supercomputers, predicting future outcomes. All you need to do is believe in it and carry out its instructions."
"Yes, Mr. Tsuruoka," Nana affirmed, her voice resolute.
"Good. Be ready. Your mission is sacred."
With those words, Tsuruoka adjusted his windblown cap and turned away, leaving Nana alone on the deck, lost in thought.

The tea leaves swirled lazily in the cup.
Zhongli lifted his teacup and took a small sip.
The morning sunlight was gentle, not dazzling. Not far away, a storyteller stood on a raised platform, vividly narrating a tale.
"This is a story from ancient times, before the founding of Liyue... Back then, the land of Liyue was plagued by treacherous mountains and waters..."
"So this is Liyue's specialty—storytellers, is it?"
A playful, nonchalant voice reached Zhongli's ears from his side.
Sitting to Zhongli's left was the Eleventh Harbinger of the Fatui, Tartaglia, casually sipping his tea as he listened to the storyteller's tale with curiosity.
"It's somewhat like Mondstadt's bards, but the narrative feels more down-to-earth, and the historical details are far more elaborate."
Placing his cup down gently, Zhongli turned to face Tartaglia and spoke calmly, "Broadly speaking, the customs of Liyue and Mondstadt differ greatly, and the various rules and traditions that emerge reflect this disparity."
"Art, developing in different forms, is a natural result."
"Haha." Tartaglia chuckled lightly. "As expected of the so-called walking encyclopedia of Liyue, Mr. Zhongli. Even art falls within your realm of expertise."
"I'm curious, Mr. Zhongli—you're so knowledgeable. Is there anything you don't know?"
The question was a casual remark on Tartaglia's part, not meant to be taken seriously. He didn't expect Zhongli to provide a detailed answer.
Yet, unexpectedly, the words seemed to stir something within Zhongli.
Crossing one arm over his chest and resting his chin on his other hand, Zhongli contemplated for a moment before responding earnestly, "Lately, I've been pondering the nature of our world's existence."
"The sun reigns high in the sky, but how high does the sky truly reach? The stars above, considered to be the constellations of fate—how do they exist?"
"If other worlds exist, how do they differ from ours?"
"These are things I do not yet understand."
"Ha… haha… ha…" Tartaglia froze with his teacup in hand, forcing a polite but awkward smile.
He never expected the composed Zhongli to be someone who contemplated such abstract questions.
After a moment, he managed a reply. "Even the finest astrologers wouldn't have answers to such questions, Mr. Zhongli. Perhaps you should let it go."
Zhongli looked at him in silence, then nodded slightly after a pause.
"You're right."
The storyteller on the platform continued his tale.
"Moved by the people's suffering, the Geo Archon established the founding contracts of Liyue with the adepti, using their power to protect the land..."
The two men quietly sipped their tea.
After some time, their cups were empty.
The story concluded.
As they prepared to settle the bill, Zhongli reached into his pocket, only to pause and glance toward Tartaglia.
Tartaglia met his gaze, sighed, and shook his head with a wry smile. He stepped forward, unsurprised, and paid the bill with Mora crafted by the Geo Archon himself, currency accepted across the entire continent.
"Mr. Zhongli, you really should carry a wallet!"
"It's fine. Problems always find solutions."
"Haha! But… my budget's running thin, you know!"
