Chapter 157: Chapter 157: TOBA Thanos

The cosmic fleet loomed over the Earth like a vast canopy, blotting out the sun and casting countless shadows on the ground below.

Alex had returned from other worlds. After conquering several powerful cosmic factions, he now set his sights on Earth once more.

In mere moments, news spread worldwide about yet another intergalactic force invading Earth. Judging by the size of the fleet, this faction was even stronger than the Mad Titan, Thanos!

The government and military of the United States, informed by Nick Fury, quickly learned the identity of this force: Alex's fleet. Their faces turned ashen in an instant.

Even after all these years, they couldn't forget the White Devil who had once wiped out their previous leaders.

Ironically, it was only due to Alex's ruthless purging of their predecessors that they themselves had risen to power. Yet they felt no gratitude toward him—only overwhelming terror that eclipsed all other emotions.

As the ship's doors opened, Alex gazed down at the Mad Titan, Thanos, from a commanding height.

Thanos, now linked to The One Below All, had gained the power of gamma radiation and the ability to grow stronger with rage. His body glowed an ominous green, and his height had already reached ten meters. With every surge of anger, he grew even larger.

The moment Alex saw Thanos, he immediately noticed something amiss. Thanos' mind had been consumed by rage, leaving him in a frenzied state, a true Mad Titan.

Recognizing Alex, Thanos let out a guttural roar, stamping his feet with such force that cracks spread across the ground and shook the very place. He leaped into the sky, charging toward Alex with murderous intent.

"I know you! A mere ant who once killed my followers! I'll tear off your limbs and make you suffer!"

Hearing Thanos speak coherently, Alex realized he still retained some shred of sanity.

Alex smirked at Thanos' words and replied mockingly: "I agree. So... a desperate man now wants to destroy my planet?

"I suppose I'll just have to tear off your limbs, then!

"Let's do this, Drax!"

With a wave of Alex's hand, a gravitational force grabbed Drax and hurled him toward Thanos. As Drax landed before Alex, Alex kicked him hard, sending him hurtling through the air.

"AAAAAAHHHHH!" Drax screamed as he soared hundreds of meters into the sky. With Alex's "assistance," he broke the sound barrier as he rocketed toward Thanos.

Mid-flight, Drax activated the tattoos on his body, which boosted his strength several times over.

The two collided mid-air, but Drax was no match for Thanos in his enraged state. Thanos struck him with a single blow, sending him flying into the distant ocean.

A heavy silence fell over the main ship as everyone watched the ease with which Thanos had defeated Drax.

Alex sighed, realizing the enormity of Thanos' power.

Drax had started with physical strength on par with Thanos and had been further enhanced by his tattoos, multiplying his abilities several times over.

For Thanos to casually punch Drax away, his strength had to far surpass Drax's, likely approaching—if not exceeding—the level of a singular-universe powerhouse!

Taking the situation more seriously, Alex gestured.

"Rocket, Star-Lord, your turn. Go together!"

"OK, let's take him down!" Rocket Raccoon and the others immediately sprang into action, rushing toward Thanos.

Star-Lord activated the energy within his body, transforming into an energy-based form as he launched the first assault on Thanos.

Despite his formidable power, even Star-Lord was overpowered, quickly falling into a defensive position.

The rest of the team joined the fight, attacking Thanos with their respective abilities. Lava, vibrations, thunder, and other forces converged on the Mad Titan, finally beginning to push him back.

Drax emerged from the ocean once again, charging toward Thanos with unrelenting determination. Thanks to his powerful physique, his injuries had already healed by the time he reached the Mad Titan.

With precise and relentless flying slashes, Drax attacked Thanos. Combined with the coordinated efforts of the others, Thanos finally began to show signs of injury.

From a distance, a helicopter hovered above the battlefield, equipped with professional filming equipment. A reporter stood in front of the camera, speaking animatedly. It was a live broadcast!

The reporter, clearly understanding the audience's interests, avoided focusing on the chaotic battle below. Instead, he instructed the cameraman to pan toward one of the massive spacecraft.

As the camera adjusted, the familiar silhouette of Alex came into view, his white hair strikingly prominent.

Alex noticed the helicopter immediately. At first, he chose to ignore it, but then he realized that one of its passengers was an old acquaintance: Eddie Brock.

Eddie was no stranger to Alex. In the past, Alex had nearly killed him with a single punch, shattering every bone in his body and pulverizing his internal organs. Yet, thanks to the extraordinary regenerative abilities of his symbiote, Eddie had survived.

Two years later, Eddie had become a renowned journalist, celebrated for his coverage of superhero exploits. Spotting an alien fleet arriving on Earth, he had risked his life to report on the event. To his astonishment, he discovered that the fleet's leader was none other than Alex, the "White Devil," who had inadvertently been both his savior and near-executioner.

The sight of Alex filled Eddie with excitement, as if aan ancient man had stumbled upon a mountain of gold. Ignoring the protests of his colleagues, he insisted on capturing footage of Alex for his live broadcast.

Eddie knew that featuring Alex in his live stream would make it the most-watched event of the decade.

Facing the camera, Eddie's voice brimmed with energy: "Good day, everyone! This is your old friend, Eddie Brock, reporting live from the scene.

"I'm currently aboard a helicopter near the recently arrived alien fleet, documenting the clash between the newcomers and the Mad Titan, Thanos!"

As the camera panned downward, it captured Star-Lord and his team engaged in battle against Thanos. Eddie continued:

"At first, like many of you, I assumed this massive fleet belonged to some unknown extraterrestrial force. But upon arriving on the scene, I discovered the truth was far from what I expected.

"The fleet's leader is neither alien nor a stranger—it's someone we all know: the White Devil!"

The camera then zoomed in on Alex, his face displayed prominently for viewers around the world. Eddie exclaimed:

"Two years ago, we all witnessed the White Devil's battle against a Celestial. Afterward, he disappeared without a trace, leading many of us to believe he had perished.

"But the truth is undeniable—he's back!"

The broadcast continued, with Eddie Brock posing questions that captivated viewers worldwide:

"So, why has he returned? Is it to help Earth repel the Mad Titan?

To continue his devilish reign of death?

Or perhaps… he's here to conquer Earth?"

As Eddie prepared to delve further, he noticed something unusual. His cameraman, Carl, was visibly trembling, his hand shakily pointing behind Eddie.

Eddie froze, dread washing over him like a tidal wave. Despite the two years that had passed, the familiar terror surged back. Slowly turning, he confirmed his fear: standing behind him was Alex.

With glowing blue eyes and an amused expression, Alex loomed over Eddie.

Ignoring Eddie for the moment, Alex approached the camera with a smile and said: "Hello, everyone! It's me, your good ol' friend, Alex.

"In the two years I've been gone, I've ventured to other worlds, conquering civilizations and expanding my horizons. I returned to this universe just a month ago.

"Today, I have a special treat for you—a performance. I hope you enjoy!"

The moment Alex appeared on-screen, the world erupted.

Among the most ecstatic were the mutants. Two years ago, Alex had toppled governments, destroyed military bases, and eliminated generals. His actions left such a mark that, after his departure, governments intensified their oppression of mutants to prevent the rise of another Alex.

This escalation led to the creation of advanced Sentinel robots, designed to hunt and exterminate mutants. Even Magneto couldn't stand against the sheer numbers and upgrades of these machines.

Now, with Alex's return, mutants felt a resurgence of hope. Across the internet, anonymous posts from mutants began flooding in:

"The savior has returned! Mutants will rise again!"

"With Alex back, the government's tyranny will finally face retribution!"

"You all thought he was dead. Now he's back, stronger than ever!"

Meanwhile, those who had opposed Alex two years ago voiced their disdain:

"Freaks, if you're silent now, it's probably because the Sentinels have already wiped you out!"

"So what if the White Devil is back? The Sentinels have been upgraded, with new capabilities specifically designed to target mutants!"

"This monster who once fought a Celestial? The Celestials will destroy him this time, and you freaks will follow him into extinction!"

The fence-sitters remained silent, waiting to see how events would unfold before committing to a stance.

The majority of people, however, supported Alex. Compared to Alex, their hatred for Thanos was far greater. The Mad Titan had taken too many lives, including loved ones. Now, with Alex challenging Thanos, they rallied behind him.

Unconcerned with the online chaos, Alex directed the cameraman to focus on the fight below.

Initially, Thanos struggled against the elemental attacks of Star-Lord and his team, falling into a defensive position. But as he adapted, his growing fury, combined with the power of two Infinity Stones, allowed him to turn the tide.

At this point, the team was no match for Thanos. His connection to TOBA, combined with the symbiote-enhanced power and his Eternal heritage, had elevated him to a level nearing single-universe-class combat capability.

From the start of the battle, Alex had activated his domain to contain the fallout of the clashes. Without it, the Earth's surface might have been devastated by the sheer force of the combatants' attacks.

Rocket Raccoon and the others were the first to fall, gravely injured and unable to continue fighting. Even Drax, the strongest among them, was no exception—knocked unconscious by a single, devastating punch from Thanos.

Now only Star-Lord remained, struggling desperately to hold on. But moments later, he too was struck down, crashing into the ground and lying motionless.

As the scene unfolded, the internet buzzed with reactions:

- "Alex's team is no match, just like the Avengers—they've all been defeated!"

- "What are we supposed to do now? Thanos wants to slaughter every living being on Earth. I don't want to die!"

- "Don't panic. Alex hasn't made his move yet. Two years ago, his power was already terrifying—he's rumored to be a Level 5 mutant. He must have grown even stronger since then!"

- "I hope Alex can defeat Thanos. If not, Earth is doomed..."

As Thanos advanced toward Star-Lord, his towering figure brimming with murderous intent, Star-Lord refused to cower. Instead, he raised his middle finger in defiance, taunting the giant.

He knew he was safe. That man would act.

Sure enough, just as Thanos was within ten meters of Star-Lord, a white-haired figure materialized between them.

Hands in his pockets, Alex faced the hulking green giant without a hint of fear.

Seeing Alex appear out of thin air, Thanos's expression twisted further, his rage intensifying. His body grew larger once more as he swung a colossal fist at Alex.

The sheer force of Thanos's punch distorted the air and even threatened to rend the fabric of space. Without Alex's domain, the punch could have obliterated the entire solar system.

Fueled by boundless rage, Thanos had truly ascended to a single-universe level of power. However, he was still a novice at this tier, and the disparity between him and Alex was vast—greater than the gap between a celestial being and a mere mortal.

For Alex, who had already began to touch the multiverse level of power, Thanos was nothing more than a slightly larger insect.

In an instant, Alex entered his Third Tree: Abyss state, activating his Origin Reinforcement skill.

The vectors and scalars of the surrounding space twisted, forming vector threads that coiled around Alex's index finger.

When Thanos's enormous fist collided with Alex's outstretched finger, the size difference between them—dozens of times over—meant nothing. For true strength, size was irrelevant.

Boom!

The kinetic energy of Thanos's full-force punch was magnified tenfold by Alex and rebounded. Combined with Alex's own immense power, the resulting shockwave struck Thanos head-on.

Thanos vanished in an instant, propelled out of sight by the unimaginable force. Earth's instruments couldn't even track his trajectory. All they registered was a brief flash of light as Alex's surroundings were replaced by a fan-shaped crater.

The crater extended for dozens of kilometers, obliterating Thanos's army in its path.

Fortunately, all civilians had been evacuated due to Thanos's invasion. Otherwise, the collateral damage would have resulted in millions of casualties.

Using Iron Man's AI and S.H.I.E.L.D.'s tracking systems, investigators traced Thanos's path to his crash site.

When they found him, they gasped in shock.

The once-mighty Mad Titan, who had terrorized Earth and beyond, was now barely recognizable. Half of his body was shattered, his luminous green blood pooling into a small lake.

Thanos lay on the ground, barely clinging to life.
