Varakiel then goes to the notice board and he notices a particular notice…

Varakiel: only those of advanced classes need apply? Hehe, only that fool goddess.

Varakiel just kindly smiles at her and waves his hand as a salute

The witch girl surprised , blush and returns the salute.

Then they pass each other…

Varakiel: (hehe i think her demonstration is coming soon.)

Salamander: (who is she varakiel?)

Kazuma: use your magic to target the one that's farther away. As for the closer ones…well,here we go, aqua. Time to get out payback. You keep telling me you used to be a—y'knoe. Why don't you show me what you can do?

Megumin gives the self proclaimed goddess a strange look as aqua strangled kazuma with tears flying from her eyes.

Megumin then looks sympathetically at aqua.

Aqua: whatever! I know giant toads are supposed to be resistant to physical attacks, but this time i'm going to show you what a goddess can do! Just you watch, kazuma! I didn't get my glory last time, but today–!

Then aqua is eaten by the toad….

Megumin: Behold! The most powerful magic known to mankind! This is truly the ultimate attack magic!

Varakiel: mhm oh right let's save them granberia.

Varakiel then rush to the trio

Granberia noticed that megumin was on the floor.

Granberia: figures, like he said this world is weird.

Granberia then follows.

As the smoke clears a twenty meter wide crater lay where the magic was perform.

Kazuma: incredible! So this is magic

Then a bunch of toads awakened by the spell crawl to them.

Kazuma: megumin! Let's fall back, then we can hit them agai–

That was as far as he got before seeing megumin and stopped on his tracks. She had Collapsed.

Megumin: my magic is utterly powerful, b-but it takes strength e-equal to its power…i've overexerted myself and w-will not be moving for a while…oh, who could have known a toad would appear right near me? This is troublesome. I shall be eaten. P-please help

But before the toad eats megumin two arrows in fire hit the toad eyes and cause an small explosion.

Varakiel: hey little one are you okay?

Varakiel then checks on megumin.

Megumin: ah, y-you are the guy from this morning.

Varakiel: We can talk later. You woke up a lot of toads, it is a problem you know, here I will carry you..

Varakiel then carries megumin on his back.

Megumin: ah thank you…

Varakiek: granberia finish them off, let the kiddo there some for him to deal with!

Granberia: ….okay.

Then granberia with her sword infused in fire slash at the remaining toads

Kazuma: woah, a magic swordsman!

Varakiel: Hey kid your companion is still on that frog what are you doing?

Kazuma: ahhh, aqua!!
