My Mercenary Guild is Full of Beauties

Chapter 33: The Storm is Brewing

After leaving the guild, Aurora went straight back to the base. Just as she was sitting at her desk and turning on the guild system, a red prompt popped up.

[The Raging Tempest Mercenary Corps has included you in the list of hostile forces]

"Hey, it's really fast."

Aurora was not surprised by this result. She was already prepared to confront this mercenary group when she invited Blair in.

It's just that the time for the confrontation came much faster than she expected.

"Well… It's fine. It can be regarded as a reassurance and a commendation for Blair."

Aurora crossed her fingers and looked out of the window on the side. Her eyes kept gazing at the sky and kept extending into the distance, as though it were endless.

Not long after, the Raging Tempest Mercenary Corps posted notices with great fanfare, announcing that they were enemies with the Glory Mercenary Corps in public. On top of that, they added a cruel reminder that as long as anyone got close to the Glory, then they would make sure they would regret their decision.

The news quickly reached the man in the black robe sitting in the tavern's corner. He waited and watched for a while before picking up a notice that fell on the ground and reading it carefully.

In the end, he took a deep breath as if he had made up his mind, crumpled the paper in his hand, threw it into the stinky ditch next to him, turned around, and left, as if he had never appeared before.

"Presumptuous!"

Henrick tore up the notice brochure in his hand angrily, and this irritable little old man kept pacing back and forth in his office.

He had only issued the official penalty not long ago, but these scoundrels Raging Tempest had already made trouble again.

Did they still have faces to publicly declare their hostility toward the newcomer Glory Mercenary Group?

As a mercenary group with more than 20 Elites, they blatantly targeted a much smaller mercenary group under his very fucking nose! Wasn't it obvious that they were bullying others?!

His headache hadn't yet subsided, but another piece of bad news came into his office.

"President! It's not good!" Sharon ran in from the outside in a panic, holding a document in her hand.

"Why are you so flustered?"

"President, look at this!" Sharon handed the document to Henrick, and when he saw the writing on it, his eyes almost popped out.

Glory actually announced a counter notice that it had become hostile to Raging Tempest!

"What the hell is this brat thinking?!"

Henrick couldn't figure out why Aurora dared to do this! No matter how strong their personnel was, there were only three of them.

He could still make an arrangement when only the Raging Tempest Mercenary Group announced it one-sided before, but now… there was no other way because the latter has already accepted the challenge.

As long as the two parties met in the future, an inevitable showdown would certainly happen.

"Damn it!" Henrick slumped on the chair and waved his hands, to which Sharon nodded slightly and backed out. "Such a thing happened at this time..."

Henrick grabbed a sealed envelope with the pattern of the sun and the moon from the bottom drawer. This was an urgent letter from Capital that he had just received in the past two days.

Normally, he wasn't qualified to receive such a letter from the royal family, but that honorable person seemed to have noticed something ominous, but they didn't want to make it known to everyone, so they secretly entrusted them to the Mercenary Association to pay more attention to whether something out of the ordinary had transpired.

But, who knew something like this would happen…

Following the confrontation between these two mercenary groups, the public would undoubtedly pay close attention to the Mercenary Association and these two groups, as if they were watching a show.

As night fell, the commotion caused during the day gradually cooled down under the grace of moonlight.

Aurora just used her free time to allocate the remaining 3 skill points to the main skills.

[Magic Cannon F upgraded to Magic Cannon D]

[Increased the upper limit of magic cannon elemental damage by 20%]

[Elemental Transformation F is upgraded to Elemental Transformation E]

[The time required for conversion is shortened from 5 seconds to 4.5 seconds]

[Magic Cannon level up, comprehend new skill: Elemental Fusion Blast F (can integrate various element attributes and release composite magic cannon)]

"Very good. The next step is to find other magic sword contracts to master other elemental attributes." Aurora nodded in satisfaction. If the Magic Cannon hit Olsen's chest again, it wouldn't end up just a scorched black thing.

Knock, knock—

"Come in."

Aurora looked at the door, and Claudia pushed it nervously and walked in.

"Captain, there is a very shady person outside our base! The man is sneaking out in the middle of the night, fully clothed in black! That guy must be coming here with bad intentions!"

"Oh?" After pondering for a while, Aurora suddenly chuckled, "It's faster than expected; let's go, Claudia. Let's go down to meet our new companions!"

Soon, Aurora invited the black-robed man outside the door and took him directly to the office.

As soon as he entered the room, the man in black took off his black robe to reveal his true face. It was Blair whom Aurora met in the tavern before.

"I am very glad that you are willing to come, Mr Blair. You must have already thought about it."

"Yes, Lady Aurora, I have to admit that you are really courageous. I never thought that you would directly confront the Raging Tempest Mercenary Group."

Aurora could see vengeful anger and determination in his eyes.

It seemed that the bunch of goons they had beaten down before were really the people who were sent to monitor Blair, which greatly increased Blair's confidence in them. Lastly, the counter notice sent by Glory in response to Raging Tempest's ultimatum had become the last nail in the coffin for Blair to pick their side.

Blair clenched his right fist on his chest and knelt down in front of Aurora on one knee.

"Lady Aurora, no, Captain Aurora! I solemnly submit to you! please let me become a member of the Glory Mercenary Corps! I will do my best to show my value and contribute to the mercenary group!"

"I agree with your intention, Mr. Blair and you are welcome to join our mercenary group!" Aurora stretched out her hand to support Blight. "Please rest assured, we will definitely make the Raging Tempest Mercenary Group disappear completely and avenge your injustice and anger!"

When the dawn came the next morning, Blair put on his black robe and left the base to collect information about suitable members that could join the group and make it stronger together.

He left with a heavy purse in his arms, which was the reward Aurora offered him for recruiting personnel last night.

To recruit suitable members, Aurora armed him with 100 gold coins. Such a large amount of money made him more determined to do things beautifully.

For this, he already had several suitable candidates in mind, and now he was going to meet with these people to discuss matters.

"I don't know what kind of members he will bring. I'm really looking forward to it."

Aurora's mouth slightly raised as he watched Blair's back through the window, and he reached out and took out a beautifully printed admission ticket.

"Captain Aurora, I will hand over this admission ticket to you. There's a rumor that there will be many interesting items in the auction this time. If you are interested, you can go and have a look. I hope it can be of some help to you."

After arranging the room, Blair, who was just about to leave, took it out of his bag and handed it over to her.

"Actually, I haven't participated in the auction for a long time. I hope I'll get a pleasant surprise this time." Aurora looked at the admission ticket in her hand with a hint of expectation in her heart.
