Chapter 6: Chapter 6: The Kidnapping at the Parking Lot
If she had known that Lin Yifan was such a madman, she would never have hired him.
On the other hand, Lin Yifan, despite receiving a hefty salary, couldn't help but hang his head in dismay and gloom.
Where could he find such a good job now?
Standing at the gate of the Royal Pool No. 1 Aquatic Center, he felt regretful and at a loss.
"Sigh!"
With a long sigh, he lifted his feet and left the Royal Pool No. 1 Aquatic Center.
Life goes on—without a job, just go find another one, no need to be sad over it.
"Tap tap!"
Just a few steps out, a frantic call for help came from the road to the left of the main entrance.
That direction seemed to be towards the underground parking lot of Royal Pool No. 1.
Not knowing what had happened there, Lin Yifan grew curious and went to take a look.
He came to the parking lot entrance, a slope in front of him, allowing vehicles from the road above to enter the underground parking lot.
Due to the angle, Lin Yifan had to walk down the slope to see what was happening inside the parking lot.
So he rushed down the slope quickly and took a glimpse inside the parking lot.
To his surprise, he recognized a "familiar face."
The person calling for help was the blue-swimsuited woman who had blamed him back in the pool.
The woman was now dressed in her official attire and, at first glance, was still a long-haired, stunning beauty.
Lin Yifan had a grudge against this woman, and his own job loss was indirectly caused by her; therefore, for a moment, he didn't know whether to help or not.
As he hesitated, the sexy and tall female CEO cried out for help again, and this time she directed her plea to him: "Save me! Help me!"
Looking into those pleading eyes, hearing the desperate cry for help, Lin Yifan's conscience was under immense torment.
On one side was hatred, on the other was conscience. Which should he abandon?
Torn between the two, he suddenly remembered the sense of justice he had cultivated in "that place." Without that justice, his life wouldn't have been as meaningful.
Moreover, his grudge against the female CEO wasn't that significant. The loss of his "good job" was partly his own fault; in a service industry, his rough behavior and impoliteness really weren't appropriate.
Having made up his mind, he dashed into the parking lot, pointed at the two black-clothed men dragging the victim, and yelled angrily, "Let go of that woman!"
The two men, about to shove the CEO into a sedan, wondered why another meddlesome fool had appeared in the parking lot.
Curious, they looked back to see who it was.
When they realized it was a young man they didn't recognize, they sneered, "Kid, you think you can play the hero and save the dame all on your own? You're far from it!"
Lin Yifan responded calmly, "Many have looked down on me, but some have been tamed by me, some left crippled, and others have gone to Hell to meet King Yanluo; so, will you let her go, or not?"
"You arrogant little thing, who gave you the confidence to speak like that?" inquired one of the burly black-clothed men, bristling with anger.
Lin Yifan proudly raised his fist and answered, "My fists!"
"You think that ping-pong ball of a fist can do something? That's hilarious!"
The two black-clothed men could hardly contain their laughter at the absurdity.
"Is it small? How about I show you its power then?"
Lin Yifan's eyes narrowed slightly, and his aura turned exceptionally cold.
"If you're brave enough, come at me! I'm ready anytime."
The two black-clothed men shouted brashly.
They didn't believe someone thinner and smaller than them could beat them.
"Very well, you've lost your chance to regret."
With that, Lin Yifan's eyes turned icy with a deadly intent, and then he charged like an arrow released from its bow.
Seeing this, the black-clothed men scoffed, "What an incredibly arrogant guy."
Immediately, they reacted—one stepping forward to engage, the other keeping An Qi detained.
In terms of height, Lin Yifan had no advantage, nor did he in muscular strength; thus, he could only rely on his agile movement technique to outsmart them.
When he reached the burly black-clothed man, he leapt into the air and kicked.
Seeing this, the black-clothed man extended his huge, log-like arm to catch Lin Yifan's flying kick, then threw him towards a nearby concrete pillar, intending to kill this arrogant fool.
Lin Yifan was shocked; he hadn't expected the man's arm to be so strong as to neutralize his powerful kick, nor the man's response to be so swift.
He had thought a man with well-developed biceps would be slower, but he was mistaken.
Now, like a flail, he was hurled away forcefully by the black-clothed man.
What mattered most wasn't the hurl itself, but the fact that there was a concrete pillar not far ahead; if his soft body hit it hard, the consequences would be dire.
Lin Yifan, with his extraordinary skills, certainly wasn't about to take such a substantial hit.
He stretched out his arms, forcefully braced against the square concrete pillar, and then rhythmically recoiled with the momentum, acting as a shock absorber.
Through his efforts, he steadied himself unharmed. Although his arms were somewhat sore from the residual force, he was okay.
Seeing that Lin Yifan had actually deflected such a powerful attack, the muscular black-clothed man was taken aback and began to see Lin Yifan in a new light.
Lin Yifan had some skill indeed; no wonder he dared to intervene. But that was all.
