Mystery: Lucky

Chapter 9 Tris

After Klein proposed a ritual to ask for leave (copied from Alice's prayer), Alice returned to reality.

So, should you do it? Why don't you do it? There are two other people... Alice knocked on the table, looked at the request she had written down, and thought lazily.

The next day, Alice came to Blackthorn Security Company as usual.

After completing today's study task, Alice, who was leaning in front of the counter and chatting with Roxanne, was caught by Dunn who was about to go out.

"Alice? Just in time, it's time for you to understand how to go on a mission. Come with me."

As a result, Alice was forced to lose her leisure time and follow Dunn.

When they arrived, people from the Heart of Steam and Machinery were already waiting at the scene. When they saw them, their eyes immediately lit up: "Dunn, you're here... Hey, is this?"

"This is Alice, you know her." Dunn did not introduce much. After all, the process of Alice becoming an Extraordinary is not a secret among the three major churches in Tingen City.

"Oh!" As expected, the man showed an expression of wonder. He looked at Alice up and down, and then smiled, "This is really... If you don't talk about it, you still don't know what happened, right?"

Although it was a question, he did not wait for the two people to respond, and continued: "A few days ago, a tragedy occurred on the Alfalfa. It was suspected that an extraordinary person committed the crime. This is the address of one of the victims. We need you. Help ask him."

Alice could only watch what happened next. She watched Dunn ask questions in his dream - this ability was not unfamiliar to her, after all, she had been asked questions herself.

Next, there is the process of drawing a portrait through ritual prayer. Looking at this scene, Alice suddenly remembered Audrey and Alger who "expressed" the diary.

"Can this ritual only pray to gods?" Alice asked curiously.

"That's right," Dunn explained, "This is a little trick that allows us to draw what's in our minds with the help of the gods. In addition to portraits of wanted criminals, the most commonly used ones are also divination revelations."

After finishing his words, Dunn handed the portrait to the Mechanical Heart team: "Tris, suspected of being an Extraordinary, is initially assessed as the Sequence 8 'Instigator'. The possibility of being from the 'Gnostic Society' cannot be ruled out."

"Is it him?" The person in charge took the portrait in surprise. "When we asked during the day, some people said that he was the hero who saved the survivors..."

He paused and then added: "If it was him, he might still be in Tingen now. Eyewitnesses proved that he came to Tingen after leaving the port of Enmatt."

This is obviously not good news.

A wanted criminal entered Tingen City... Dunn and Alice returned to the Blackthorn Security Company with this heavy news, and told the other Nighthawks about the wanted order.

It was an uneasy night.

In the deep darkness, a dexterous figure floated to the ground like a feather from the third floor, without even dust rising from the ground.

The figure turned and suddenly disappeared into the alley... Wait, why did he run up there?

Alice blinked and observed the figure moving forward under this strange angle and field of view. She finally realized that this seemed to be the shadow's perspective.

As she approached the dock, her view became condescending again—this time, she was looking at the sea breeze.

She saw clearly that round, friendly face, that was... Tris!

What is he doing at the dock?

But the surrounding scene suddenly became distorted, and Alice could not distinguish the distorted scene. She could only see a bright red blood, and could only hear chaotic cries, begging, and wailing from it.

It was a terrible disaster.

In the bloody shadow, she saw Tris' figure.

She was wearing a dark black dress, and the slim skirt showed off her figure very well. Her face was round, the lines were soft, and she was very approachable... Wait, why her?

The dream was shattered. Alice sat up from the bed and checked the time - it was only early morning and it was still dark.

Alice pinched her eyebrows with a headache. It was not strange to predict a dream, but this dream was too absurd. She couldn't even interpret it - did Tris cause the tragedy of the Alfalfa because he was a woman at heart? ?

The corners of Alice's mouth twitched, she shook her head, shook off this strange thought, and began to think about what she should do.

Divination? No, given that she knew almost nothing about Tris except for his face and name, even if fate favored her, she would not be able to find a way to enlighten her - the best outcome would be like the ridiculous dream just now. That way.

So Alice had to get up, sacrifice her sleep time and run to the professional headquarters.

"What are you...?" Leonard, who had just come out of Chanis Gate, looked at Alice in surprise.

"Leonard? Morning..." Alice greeted listlessly.

She obviously knew Leonard, after all he was there when Dunn fell asleep.

Leonard had obviously never seen Alice like this. He glanced at her in surprise and asked, "You came here in such a hurry so early in the morning. Could it be that something happened in the church?"

The not-so-funny joke didn't amuse Alice, who just sighed listlessly.

So Leonard became frightened. He looked at Alice with some uncertainty and asked, "Is something really wrong?"

"No, I just had a ridiculous dream." Alice answered with her eyebrows pinched.

"A dream scared you like this?" Leonard looked a little funny, and Alice wondered if this guy was going to laugh at her.

"It's not that I was scared, it's..." Alice twisted her expression and organized her words, "I had a prophetic dream, but in the dream, Tris became a woman!"

"?" This is Leonard.

"?" This is Dunn who passed by.

"Captain, good morning..." Alice also saw Dunn and greeted him rather weakly, "Did you hear that?"

Dunn nodded and motioned Alice to follow him.

After saying goodbye to Leonard, Alice followed Dunn into the office and closed the door. Then she heard Dunn's calm voice: "Tell me about your dream."

"He was very agile, jumping down from the third floor and heading straight to the dock..." Alice began to describe her dream, "Then, the picture suddenly twisted and turned into a bloody disaster, the end of the disaster..."

Alice's expression was distorted. She gritted her teeth several times before continuing: "I saw Tris in a black slim dress, well... I even thought she was beautiful! Then I suddenly remembered that she was a man, and I woke up in shock."
