Naruto: After Seclusion Becoming Naruto Grandfather

Chapter 1: Chapter 1

Hiruzen puffed on his pipe, his brows furrowed as he stared at the document on the table before him.

Danzo, lurking in the shadows, shifted uncomfortably in his seat. Koharu and Homura, no longer seated, stood with their hands clasped behind their backs, mirroring the Hokage's grave expression.

The room was cloaked in silence.

Half an hour passed before Hiruzen finally placed his pipe on the table. He exhaled heavily and spoke, "Tell me—how should we handle this matter?"

The piece of information that had sent ripples of unease through the entire Konoha Council was starkly simple, containing just one line of text:

"Lord Uzumaki Chito has emerged from seclusion."

This name alone was enough to cast not just Konoha but the entire ninja world into a shroud of tension.

Danzo's voice broke the silence. "That man... he must be at least a hundred years old by now."

Hiruzen, calculating in his mind, nodded solemnly. "The last time we saw him, he was already in his nineties. He went into seclusion after the Third Ninja War. That was years ago. He must be well over a hundred now."

Homura blinked, his tone tinged with unease. "It's remarkable... a man living for so long. I remember seeing him decades ago, and he looked younger than me even then."

Hiruzen shook his head sharply. "This isn't the time to marvel at his youth. The issue at hand is how we will answer him now that he's awake."

Once again, silence fell over the room.

The council's feelings toward Uzumaki Chito were complicated, at best. While his strength and legacy commanded respect, his presence was always accompanied by unease.

He was a figure from another era—a remnant of the Warring States Period. Konoha itself had been founded just over sixty years ago, yet Uzumaki Chito had already been a legend before then. Even the First Hokage, Senju Hashirama, had referred to him as "senior" out of respect.

His power was rumored to rival that of the Sage of Six Paths, and his actions had left indelible marks on the ninja world. However, due to his unique bloodline, he required extended periods of hibernation, or what he referred to as "seclusion."

The first time Uzumaki Chito secluded himself, the Warring States Period was ending, and Konoha was being established by Hashirama and Madara Uchiha. At that time, he remained a peripheral figure, overshadowed by the new era's leaders.

But when he emerged from his second seclusion, everything changed.

By then, the Land of Whirlpools—his homeland—had been destroyed by a coalition of ninja villages. The devastation ignited his wrath. Fueled by unmatched power, Uzumaki Chito obliterated the forces responsible, leaving the ninja world shaken. His most terrifying act, however, was the annihilation of the neighboring country that had instigated the attack. Wielding his sword, he sank the islands of the offending nation beneath the ocean, erasing them from existence.

Hiruzen had witnessed that god-like display of power with his own eyes. The image of the island disappearing beneath the waves was seared into his memory.

Chito's wrath wasn't reserved for outsiders. Years later, when Kumo attempted to abduct Kushina Uzumaki, the Nine-Tails' Jinchuriki, Chito intervened personally. Ignoring Hiruzen's attempts at diplomacy, he launched an assault on Kumogakure. With a single strike of his sword, he cleaved through a mountain. The Raikage of the time paid dearly for the failed kidnapping—losing both an arm and a leg.

Now, after his third seclusion, Uzumaki Chito would awaken to an even greater tragedy. Kushina was gone, and her child, Naruto, had been left to fend for himself. Konoha had not only failed to protect her but had also neglected her son.

How would Uzumaki Chito respond to such a betrayal? Could Konoha withstand the storm of his fury?

After a long pause, Danzo finally broke the tension. "Why do we need to explain anything? We simply tell him that Kushina had no child."

Hiruzen's eyes widened in shock. Homura frowned deeply. "That won't work. The Nine-Tails Jinchuriki's identity is known to the public. The moment Chito hears the name Uzumaki associated with the Nine-Tails, he'll uncover the truth."

Danzo sneered. "Then we must ensure he doesn't learn the truth. We only need to keep this hidden for the rest of his life."

Hiruzen's expression darkened. "You expect us to hide the existence of Naruto from a man like Chito? For how long?"

"As long as necessary," Danzo replied coldly. "He's over a hundred years old. Even if he possesses the strength of the Sage of Six Paths, time is not on his side. How many years can he possibly have left? A year? Five? He'll die before the truth reaches him."

The council members exchanged uneasy glances. Danzo's logic was ruthless, but it was difficult to argue with. A man of Chito's age couldn't have much time left. If they could keep the secret until his death, the problem would resolve itself.

Hiruzen let out a heavy sigh. "Very well. Let's vote on Danzo's proposal."

Two hands rose immediately, joining Danzo's.

Hiruzen nodded grimly. "Then it's decided. Inform all shinobi that Naruto's true identity must remain hidden from Uzumaki Chito."
