Naruto: Drinking Makes You Stronger

Chapter 29: [29] Leo Vs. Orochimaru

"Snake User? Disgusting!" Leo snarled, his voice cutting through the tension like a blade.

Orochimaru's mouth twitched, and his vertical snake-like pupils narrowed dangerously.

He had heard rumors of Leo's sharp tongue, but being insulted to his face struck a nerve. Orochimaru had only intended to test Leo, but now his pride demanded he teach the insolent young man a lesson.

The Rain of Shuriken

With a quick motion, Orochimaru hurled a shuriken toward Leo.

"Shuriken Shadow Clone Technique!"

Swish! Swish! Swish!

The single shuriken multiplied in mid-air, rapidly transforming into a torrential rain of thousands of spinning blades.

The sky darkened under the sheer volume of the attack, the shurikens creating a whistling cacophony as they descended toward Leo like an inescapable storm.

Leo's eyes glinted dangerously as his Observation Haki activated.

"Hoo—hoo—hoo!"

Orochimaru's eyes widened in disbelief. Amidst the countless blades, Leo's movements were fluid and precise, like a leaf drifting effortlessly through a raging storm.

Each shuriken seemed to miss him by mere millimeters, yet not a single one even grazed his clothes.

"What?! How...?" Orochimaru froze, his mind racing.

This was not merely skill; it was something far beyond what he had encountered before. Even the Uchiha clan, with their famed Sharingan and unparalleled visual prowess, couldn't achieve such an effortless evasion.

"What kind of monster is this?" Orochimaru muttered to himself, shaken to the core.

"Snake bastard! I'll cut you down myself!" Leo roared, his rage reignited.

His figure blurred, disappearing into an afterimage as he charged toward Orochimaru.

Leo's blade, Shusui, gleamed with a dark purple aura as he swung it downward in a deceptively simple slash.

"Huh?!" Orochimaru felt a wave of suffocating pressure.

The attack was so precise, so overwhelming, that it seemed to lock him in place. It was as though every avenue of escape had been sealed off.

"Substitution Jutsu!"

Slash!

Orochimaru's body was cleaved in two, but the figure quickly transformed into a lifeless log, tumbling to the ground.

"There!" Leo growled, his Observation Haki locking onto Orochimaru's real location—hidden in the branches of a tree.

Without hesitation, Leo swung his blade again, unleashing a massive dark purple slash that roared toward Orochimaru like a tidal wave.

"Whoosh!"

The ten-meter-high slash tore through the air, splitting the ground in its path. Orochimaru barely had time to react as the devastating attack closed in on him.

The clash between the snake and the storm raged on, the battlefield trembling under the intensity of their powers. Orochimaru, despite his composure, began to realize just how outmatched he might be.

Orochimaru's expression darkened as he activated the Body Flicker Technique, vanishing to a distant spot just as the slash descended.

BOOM!

The dense forest behind him was obliterated by the violent, dark purple slash. Trees splintered, and the ground quaked under the force of the attack.

CRACK—CRACK—

The destruction left a massive void in the once-thick canopy.

Before Orochimaru could catch his breath, Leo's figure appeared in front of him again like a phantom.

With a gleaming blade, Shusui, Leo swung ferociously, sealing off every possible escape route.

"Damn it! He's not giving me any chance to breathe," Orochimaru muttered, frustration creeping into his usually calm demeanor.

It felt as though every one of his movements was being read before he could make them. Even the Sharingan of the Uchiha clan had never left him so utterly exposed.

Despite his predicament, Orochimaru was no ordinary ninja. As a Kage-level powerhouse, he wasn't about to crumble under pressure.

Drawing a kunai, he infused it with wind-nature chakra, known for its unparalleled sharpness, and swung it toward the incoming blade.

CLANG!

To his shock, the kunai snapped in half as soon as it met Shusui.

"What?!" Orochimaru's eyes widened.

The wind chakra-enhanced kunai should have been able to slice through steel with ease, yet it shattered against Leo's blade without resistance.

"There's something strange about that sword," Orochimaru thought, his snake-like pupils narrowing as he observed the black and purple weapon. It seemed to pulse with a mysterious energy that defied logic.

Taking advantage of the brief pause, Orochimaru launched a counterattack.

"Twin Snakes Formation!"

With a hand seal, a massive hundred-meter-long snake materialized, hissing menacingly as it lunged toward Leo with terrifying speed.

To Orochimaru's surprise, Leo didn't dodge. Instead, he sheathed his sword with a calm, deliberate motion.

"One-Sword Style—Lion Elegy!"

The air seemed to hum as Leo drew his sword in a single, fluid motion, unleashing a blinding arc of light.

SLASH!

The giant snake froze mid-attack, its massive body split cleanly in two.

"What kind of blade is this?" Orochimaru muttered under his breath as he watched the severed halves of the giant snake crash to the ground with a thunderous rumble.

His snake-like eyes darted to Leo, who now had an intense, almost feral, look in his eyes.

"Damn snake bastard!" Leo spat, his voice filled with disdain. "What's with summoning these disgusting creatures? One's bad enough, but you had to go bigger?!"

The sight of the enormous snake irritated Leo further. He gritted his teeth, every fiber of his being screaming to rid the battlefield of Orochimaru's presence.

Leo charged again, his blade slicing through the air with terrifying precision.

"Twin Snakes Formation!" Orochimaru bellowed again, summoning two more massive serpents.

But they barely had time to appear before—

SLASH! SLASH!

Both were cut down instantly, their massive forms collapsing like paper against the sharp edge of Shusui.

"This is madness!" Orochimaru hissed, beads of sweat forming on his brow. The speed at which Leo dispatched the summoned snakes was far beyond what he could handle.

Orochimaru tried to summon another serpent for his Chaos Snake Destruction Technique, but before he could complete the jutsu, Leo was already upon him, his blade aimed directly at Orochimaru's throat.

Forced to abandon his attack, Orochimaru barely dodged, moving with an agility born out of sheer survival instinct.

In the Hokage's Office, the room had fallen into an eerie silence.

All eyes were glued to the crystal ball that displayed the unfolding battle.

"Hiss—"

The onlookers collectively drew a sharp breath as they watched Leo's devastating onslaught. The young swordsman had turned the legendary Orochimaru into a figure of desperation.

The battle between Leo and Orochimaru raged on, one relentless strike after another, with no signs of slowing down. Leo's unyielding blade and Orochimaru's cunning tactics clashed in a confrontation that would not be forgotten.

"Orochimaru... is being suppressed..."

Jiraiya stared at the crystal screen, his voice filled with disbelief.

Konoha's second-in-command, Orochimaru, one of the "Legendary Sannin", was being overpowered by Leo!

Sarutobi Hiruzen's eyes mirrored the shock of his student. Orochimaru, his most talented disciple, was known for his unmatched strength.

Back in the Second Shinobi World War, Orochimaru earned the title of "Legendary Sannin," and his current strength had only grown since then, reaching the fearsome level of a Kage.

But now, in this fight, every move Orochimaru attempted seemed to be read and countered effortlessly by Leo.

He was on the defensive, completely outmatched!

"Does this kid ever get tired?"

Hiruzen frowned as he watched Leo's swordsmanship grow sharper with each strike.

Leo had already devastated the Forest of Death, leveling countless boulders and trees with his relentless slashes. Yet, he showed no signs of fatigue. On the contrary, it seemed as though the more he fought, the stronger he became.

A bad thought crept into Hiruzen's mind.

Could Orochimaru actually lose to this kid?

He dismissed it as absurd, but the possibility gnawed at him. If Orochimaru fell here, the consequences would be unthinkable

BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!

Thick white mist filled the air as Orochimaru summoned a horde of enormous snakes.

HISS—HISS—HISS—

The colossal serpents, each radiating a menacing aura, launched themselves at Leo with deadly precision.

Amidst the chaos, the two combatants clashed fiercely, their movements blurring as they traded blows.

SHING—SHING—SHING—

The brilliant light of Leo's blade flickered like lightning, cutting through the giant snakes with ease. The severed bodies of the summoned monsters fell to the ground one after another, leaving nothing but carnage in their wake.

The onlookers were frozen in terror, unable to process the horrifying spectacle before them.

"No way... this is one of the Legendary Sannin we're talking about," a Cloud ninja stammered, his voice trembling.

He had never seen such massive snakes in his life. A single one of those creatures could devour entire squads in an instant.

"But... but that swordsman... he's winning," another shinobi muttered, his voice filled with disbelief.

They were witnessing the impossible—Orochimaru, the man who fought Hanzo the Salamander, a shinobi deemed a "demigod," was being forced onto the defensive.

"I can't believe we're still alive..."

Several Chunin participants huddled together, their faces pale.

The survivors of the Forest of Death had only made it out by sheer luck. Leo's drunken rampage had spared no one, and entire ninja teams had been obliterated in the chaos.

The participants who remained were fewer than half. Smaller villages had suffered complete annihilation.

"We're only here because he couldn't pinpoint our location," one whispered, shivering.

Even so, the terror of witnessing Leo's power firsthand was etched into their minds.

Kisame Hoshigaki crouched nearby, clutching a bleeding wound.

His shark-like eyes were bloodshot as he watched the battle unfold.

The same guy who nearly killed me... is overpowering Orochimaru?

Kisame had barely survived his encounter with Leo, fleeing like a beaten dog for the first time in his life. He'd sworn to train harder and return stronger to claim his revenge.

But as he watched Leo trade blows with Orochimaru, Kisame felt a twinge of doubt.

Could he ever defeat such a monster?

"Hah—hah—"

Leo exhaled heavily, his blade cutting through two more colossal snakes with ease. His face was etched with irritation.

"Snakes again? Don't you have any other tricks?" Leo growled, pointing his blade at Orochimaru.

The frustration in his tone was evident. This endless wave of serpents had pushed his patience to its limits.

Orochimaru seized the moment, using a quick feint and the Body Flicker Technique to create distance between them.

The legendary Sannin knew he was running out of options. Leo's relentless attacks were like a storm, and Orochimaru would need to think fast if he wanted to survive.
