Chapter 97: Chapter 19:Third level is so boring!

Standing before a large stone tablet etched with instructions, Yuto's eyes scanned the carved text before reading it aloud for the group.

"The 3rd level is called 'Catch the Mole,'" he began, his voice echoing slightly in the rocky cavern. "A mole summon is hiding somewhere in this mountain. It keeps changing its location and is highly proficient in earth-style jutsu, so finding it underground is almost impossible. Our goal is to find the mole because once we do, it will lead us to the fourth level."

Naruko leaned closer, frowning. "That doesn't sound too bad," she said.

"Wait, there's more," Yuto continued, his tone growing more serious. "But beware: if the mole detects someone is close to it, it will launch A or B-rank jutsu to defend itself. If you're not careful... you could die without ever knowing the mole was right under you."

Naruko's confident grin wavered as she stepped back. "Uh, maybe it is a bit bad," she muttered.

Hitomi crossed her arms, her brow furrowed in thought. "This is going to be tricky. If it's constantly moving and can attack us without warning, it'll be nearly impossible to track it down the normal way."

"This is too easy for us," Yuto said confidently, breaking the silence.

Naruko blinked at him in surprise. "Too easy? Did you even hear the part about A and B-rank jutsu?"

Yuto ignored her skepticism and clasped his hands together. "Did you forget about this." He performed a series of rapid hand signs before slamming his palms onto the ground. "Summoning Jutsu!"

A plume of smoke erupted from the spot, and when it cleared, a massive, armored worm emerged, its metallic sheen glinting faintly in the dim light. Its segmented body was covered in thick plates, and its head bore drill-like appendages designed for burrowing through the toughest terrain.

Both Naruko and Hitomi brightened up as they understood Yuto's plan.

The worm let out a low rumble as Yuto leaned in closer to it. "Find the mole hiding in this mountain," he instructed. "Track it down and let us know where it is."

The worm nodded—or at least it seemed to—and burrowed into the rocky ground, disappearing from sight in seconds. The sound of shifting earth echoed faintly as it tunneled deeper into the mountain.

"Now we wait," Yuto said, turning back to his teammates.

Naruko raised an eyebrow. "Wait? That's it? Aren't we supposed to be, like, doing something?"

Yuto shrugged, sitting down on a flat rock. "The worm will find it. No point in wasting energy running around blindly."

"Well, he's not wrong," Hitomi admitted, though she still seemed a bit skeptical.

Naruko crossed her arms and huffed. "Fine, but I'm not just going to sit here and stare at rocks." She rummaged through her bag and pulled out a deck of cards. "Let's play something while we wait."

Yuto chuckled lightly as he joined her. "Alright, deal me in."

Hitomi sighed but sat down with them as well, her lips curving into a small smile. "You two are impossible."

Toka's Team – Lightning Village

While Team 7 played cards in relative ease, the scene shifted to Toka's team from the Lightning Village, currently navigating the second level of the dungeon. The air around them crackled with tension as they moved cautiously through the dimly lit maze.

Toka's female teammate paused, her eyes closed in concentration as she used a sensory jutsu. A faint glow radiated from her hands as she scanned their surroundings.

"Three more samurai machines incoming," she reported, her voice calm yet firm as she sensed the chakra dispensers. "They're moving fast, ten o'clock direction."

Toka adjusted her glasses, which gleamed ominously as streaks of lightning flickered around her blade. "I'll handle it," she said simply.

Without warning, Toka disappeared, her figure vanishing in a blur of speed. The sound of crackling electricity filled the air, and before the three approaching machines could react, Toka reappeared behind them.

For a moment, nothing happened. The machines stood frozen in place. Then, with a sharp metallic screech, large cuts appeared across their bodies. Sparks flew as the three machines collapsed to the ground in pieces.

Her male teammate whistled in amazement. "I still can't believe you've developed a technique so similar to Raikage-sama's Lightning Armor."

The female teammate smirked, crossing her arms. "Well, she is his daughter, you know. Not to mention the undisputed genius of our Lightning Village."

Toka, however, said nothing. She calmly sheathed her sword, her eyes hidden behind the reflective glare of her glasses.

Gaara's Team – Sand Village

Meanwhile, Gaara's team approached the entrance to the first level of the dungeon. A massive boulder blocked their path, but Gaara remained unfazed.

With a simple wave of his hand, sand shot from his gourd, blasting the boulder apart in an instant. Dust and debris scattered, revealing the hidden entrance.

Gaara stepped forward emotionlessly, his unwavering gaze fixed ahead. Kankuro and Temari followed closely behind, sharing a brief glance.

"You'd think he'd at least say something," Kankuro muttered under his breath.

"Don't bother," Temari replied with a sigh. "You know how he is. Let's just focus on getting through this."

Without a word, Gaara disappeared into the dark tunnel, his siblings trailing after him.

Kurotsuchi's Team – Stone Village

The scene shifted to Kurotsuchi, who was stomping angrily on the rocky ground, her frustration evident in her every movement.

"Where the hell is the scroll vault in this godforsaken mountain?!" she shouted, her voice echoing off the cavern walls.

Her two teammates cowered behind a nearby rock, exchanging nervous glances.

"She's more scarier than that boy fought that giant fucking dragon," one whispered.

"Are you kidding?" the other hissed back. "She's always scarier. Let's just keep our heads down and hope she doesn't blow up the whole mountain in her rage."

Kurotsuchi gritted her teeth, her hands clenched into fists as she muttered to herself. "When I find this stupid vault, I'm going to—" She stopped mid-sentence, taking a deep breath to steady herself. "Fine. Let's try this again."

Haku's Team – Mist Village

In a quieter corner of the dungeon, Haku's team was strategizing. With a graceful movement, Haku slammed her hands onto the ground, her voice clear and commanding.

"Summoning Jutsu!"

In a puff of smoke, three elegant white wolves appeared, their fur shimmering faintly under the dungeon's dim light. They let out low growls, their keen eyes scanning the area.

"We need to move quickly. Knowing Yuto, he's likely already reached the riddle vault. These wolves will sniff out traces of people, which should lead us to the next vault."

Her teammates exchanged uncertain glances but nodded. "Got it," one said as they climbed onto the wolves' backs.

With a bark from the lead wolf, the pack took off, their noses to the ground as they moved swiftly through the dungeon. The rush of air and the rhythmic sound of paws against stone filled the silence as Haku's team began their chase.
