Chapter 29: Little Brother is So Cute, Will You Marry Big Sister When You Grow Up?

"Goodbye, Mr. Zabuza!"

"Good luck!"

Having Zabuza, a local, as a guide made the journey smooth. Uchiha Yi successfully landed in the Land of Water without any trouble, and their contract was thereby concluded.

Before leaving, Uchiha Yi looked at Zabuza with a meaningful smile and waved goodbye.

"This kid!"

Previously, Zabuza might have detained such a suspicious person for interrogation, unwilling to allow any threats to the Hidden Mist Village. But now, circumstances had changed, and he had other urgent matters to attend to.

He didn't want any complications before he could act on his plans. Or perhaps, having such a dubious person like Uchiha Yi might even serve to distract others, giving him a better chance to strike.

"Land of the Bloody Mist?"

Zabuza's cold laugh echoed as he gazed at the land he deeply loved, feeling increasingly deranged and despondent.

During his academy days, he had resolved to change the village's Bloody Mist policy. Thus, in his graduation year, he had killed all his classmates, resulting in him being the sole graduate. This led to a gap in the village's new generation of ninjas, shocking and angering the village elders.

Many parents whose children had been slain called for the death of Zabuza, the perpetrator of this heinous act. However, some argued that Zabuza had only followed the village's brutal mandates.

The differing opinions caused a rift in the village, pushing the village elders to eventually abolish the unjust Bloody Mist policy.

Then, when the Third Mizukage stepped down and the perfect Jinchuriki, Yagura, assumed the role of the Fourth Mizukage, the era of the Bloody Mist finally ended.

The man who then took on a leadership role with his child-like face and stature was soon recognized as a reliable man who could lead the Hidden Mist Village to greatness again.

But what was this man he had once respected doing now?

Why had he allowed the village to revert to its former savage state, where killing was commonplace?

Why was he doing this?

"It's unforgivable!"

"You have let everyone down!"

"If that's the case, then let me end this once again!"

Thinking too much about it now served little purpose. The only solution seemed to be to directly eliminate the Fourth Mizukage to restore normalcy to the village.

The Land of Water was neither too large nor too small. Perhaps due to recent policies of the Hidden Mist Village, the entire country seemed affected.

Refugees were everywhere, emaciated and in tattered clothes, their eyes devoid of hope for the future. Uchiha Yi could even see some ninjas from the village bullying these refugees and stealing their belongings, turning the area into a lawless land of chaos.

Uchiha Yi had no intention of intervening; he passed by without a glance. A person could only afford to be altruistic if they had the capability. Like Superman, invincible among humans, he could afford to act without consequence because no one could threaten him.

"Kid, seeing us turn away, are you hiding something you don't want us to discover?"

Despite Uchiha Yi's low-profile actions, some keen-eyed individuals still noticed him and blocked his path, their smiles filled with malicious intent.

Uchiha Yi sighed in exasperation. Sometimes, he couldn't understand why some obviously weak individuals acted so arrogantly as if they were main characters in their own right.

Why did they lack self-awareness?

Forget it, he thought, deciding to lead these nuisances elsewhere to dispose of them quietly. Just as he was about to act, a melodious voice called out from behind him.

"Stop!"

Turning around, Uchiha Yi saw a strikingly beautiful kunoichi with reddish-brown curly hair dressed in a blue battle kimono approaching them.

"Bad timing, Lady Terumi Mei!"

Recognizing the ninja from the Hidden Mist, the miscreants understood they had made a grave mistake. They turned and fled, deciding that if they survived, they would leave the village and become rogue ninjas.

"These guys…"

For Mei, bullying civilians was utterly unforgivable. The village was chaotic enough without people looking to cause even more trouble, and these actions crossed a line she was unwilling to tolerate.

Despite her seductive appearance, Mei was merciless against her enemies or those she deemed deserving of death.

"Lava Release: Melting Apparition Technique!"

Before the rogues could get far, they were engulfed by a highly corrosive and sticky acid, melting them into an unrecognizable liquid within moments.

"Little brother, are you okay? Did they scare you?"

After disposing of the troublemakers, Mei approached Uchiha Yi, bent down, and gently touched his head with concern.

"No, sister, you're amazing!"

Saying this, Uchiha Yi felt a twinge of discomfort at how shamelessly he had responded.

"Little brother is so cute. Would you marry sister as your wife when you grow up?"

Given Uchiha Yi's petite and youthful appearance, which made him look much younger than his thirteen years, Mei couldn't help but pinch his cheek as she teased him.

This left Uchiha Yi speechless.

While other transmigrators might appear tall, handsome, and imposing, he seemed relegated to roles that required cuteness—a stark contrast he found slightly disconcerting.

However, being cute had its perks. Look, wasn't a silly woman now smitten with him?

"Okay!"

"I'll definitely marry sister when I grow up!"

With such an offer, why refuse a wife delivered on a silver platter?

"Ha ha ha, then sister will wait for you!"

Initially disheartened by the state of affairs in the Hidden Mist, Mei couldn't help but laugh at the exchange, her tone somewhat teasing.

"Ahem!"

"Terumi Mei, we should be going," intervened a young man with glasses and blue hair, noting how well Mei and Yi were getting along.

"Oh dear!"

"What's your name, little brother?"

Annoyed at being interrupted, Mei then gently asked Yi for his name.

"I'm Shiho Hi."

Uchiha Yi gave a pseudonym on the spot.

"Little Hi?"

"Sister's name is Terumi Mei, and I'm a ninja from the Hidden Mist Village. I have to go now, but you be careful, okay?"

After exchanging names, Mei had to leave.

"Goodbye, sister!"

Waving goodbye to Mei, Uchiha Yi felt a mix of anticipation and curiosity about their next meeting and whether she would keep her promise once she knew his true identity.
