"They've left… I hope they'll be successful."

Jiraiya appeared on a watchtower, watching Team 7 disappear into the distance, and sighed with a sense of longing.

"Yes, I hope they can bring Master Tsunade back smoothly. By the way, why did you suddenly return to Konoha? I don't think you've been back in years."

Kakashi's figure appeared beside him, his gaze fixed on Naruto, Sakura, and Sako's retreating figures in the distance. He especially hoped that Sako wouldn't do anything unexpected.

"Kakashi… With your strength now, it makes sense that the Third Hokage instructed you to monitor and protect Naruto. But Naruto's growth has exceeded everyone's expectations! My original purpose for coming back isn't really necessary anymore."

Kakashi turned to look at Jiraiya with curiosity, his usual lazy expression now serious.

Then, he joined an organization called the Akatsuki. I don't know much about them, but the group is almost entirely made up of S-rank criminals. Uchiha Itachi is among them.

Jiraiya, usually lighthearted, had a serious look as he explained the situation to Kakashi.

Plus, with Sako by his side, who has the Mangekyō Sharingan, there's no need to worry about their safety."

Seeing Kakashi's concern, Jiraiya rubbed his head, giving a relaxed smile. After witnessing Naruto's Kurama Mode in Mount Myōboku, Jiraiya was confident in Naruto's self-defense capabilities.

"True. That kid's strength might be the most surprising in Konoha now."

Kakashi thought of Naruto's power, muttering to himself as he relaxed. To be honest, Kakashi doubted he could beat Naruto without using Kamui for a surprise attack.

Meanwhile, Uchiha Itachi and Kisame, on a mission, were holding a remote meeting in a small town hotel.

"We've received news that Orochimaru joined forces with Sand Shinobi to attack Konoha. According to our information, the Third Hokage is dead, and Konoha has suffered greatly. Vermilion Bird, Nandou, you're already in the Land of Fire. Go to Konoha to gather intel as soon as possible, and if possible, capture the Nine-Tails in advance."

Nagato's Rinnegan gaze locked onto Itachi and Kisame's projections, giving his orders indifferently.

Since the White Zetsu clones hadn't yet spread throughout the ninja world, the Akatsuki had limited knowledge about Konoha's current situation—especially the revival of the entire Uchiha clan, which remained a top secret in Konoha.

"Understood."

Despite feeling turmoil in his heart, Uchiha Itachi maintained a cold and emotionless facade.

After the teleconference ended, Uchiha Itachi and Kisame opened their eyes at the same time. They packed their things and left the hotel without a word, their actions perfectly synchronized.

At the same time, Obito, who had learned about the incident in Konoha, made his way there to find Sako Uchiha. He wanted to find her before Uchiha Itachi could, and capture her Mangekyō Sharingan, which was suspected to have the same powers as Kamui.

Land of Fire, a small town

"Naruto, Naruto, is it really okay for us to be doing this? We've been here for almost a week. Every time we visit a small town, we soak in hot springs and just have fun. Isn't this a bit too decadent...?"

From the misty hot spring, little Sakura's shy voice came from the pool next to Naruto, barely audible through the curtain.

"It's fine! We still have plenty of time. Let's just relax..."

Naruto lazily replied, a towel on his head as he relaxed.

Naruto, who owned a sightseeing phantom machine, would always ask Doraemon to use it to scan a hundred-mile radius whenever they arrived in a small town, making it easy to locate places of interest.

Naruto wasn't in a rush to find Tsunade; otherwise, he would have used the device to find her in minutes.

Well, he was waiting for someone to arrive!

Thinking about it, Naruto couldn't help but glance at Sako, who was also enjoying the hot spring next door. His eyes flickered with excitement.

Sako, however, was not bathing with Naruto or little Sakura due to her own complicated feelings.

A flash of excitement appeared in Naruto's eyes. He quickly removed the towel from his head and got up to get dressed.

"Naruto, what are you doing?"

Little Sakura, hearing the splashing water, blushed and shrank deeper into the water, asking softly.

Naruto, realizing her embarrassment, thought of certain scenes and felt his own face flush a bit. Little Sakura seemed flustered too.

"Do you want to be more active?"

But then, Sako was still waiting on the other side.

"I thought about it, little Sakura. What you said makes sense. Let's go out on a mission!"

Naruto's cheerful voice echoed in the ears of both girls, making them freeze in surprise.

Change, so fast?

Little Sakura's enthusiasm was dashed by the sudden shift in plans.

Ten minutes later, the three of them, fully dressed, followed Naruto as he led them in a certain direction.

Naruto was the only one excited, while little Sakura and Sako had flat expressions. Little Sakura was disappointed because of Naruto's sudden change in plans, while Sako simply felt annoyed at being interrupted during her relaxing soak.

"Jingle Bell."

Not far from the small town, two figures approached. Their red cloud robes and bamboo hats with wind chimes were a clear sign of their affiliation with the Akatsuki organization.

In particular, the pair of scarlet Three Tomoe Sharingan revealed their Uchiha identity.

When Sako saw the face of the person in front of her, her body trembled. Her expression was a mix of resentment and nostalgia, her eyes filled with conflicting emotions.

"I didn't expect to see you here... Uchiha Itachi."

Sako raised her beautiful face, her dark eyes suddenly shifting into her own Three Tomoe Sharingan, attempting to suppress her inner turmoil. She spoke in a hoarse voice.

"Sharingan! Who are you? Why do you have these eyes?"

Uchiha Itachi's eyes narrowed as he saw Sako activate her Sharingan. His killing intent immediately flared, and his chakra surged with pressure.

He didn't remember sparing an Uchiha girl…
