Naruto : Minato back to the past

Chapter 23: Chapter 23: Three Rules

"Even Jiraiya's shadow clone has such strength. He is worthy of being the disciple of the Third Hokage," Minato says with a smile as he slowly stands up.

Jiraiya is slightly surprised. After all, the multiple shadow clone is a B-level advanced ninjutsu. Although it is not uncommon for ordinary ninjas, Minato is still a student.

It is not easy to obtain such information. However, his teacher is Shirota, who is praised by the Third Hokage for his knowledge, so it is not surprising.

"So, now do you know how big the gap is between you and a powerful ninja?" Jiraiya asks. He certainly knows that Minato does not think he is arrogant because he looks down on his peers.

The reason he let his shadow clone fight Minato was to test his current full strength. The result shows that Minato's basic skills are very solid, just as good as the standards written in the ninja textbook.

"Although it's not very clear, I have a general understanding of it," Minato responds calmly. He knows that any powerful ninja grows up from a weak position, whether it is Jiraiya in front of him, the Third Hokage, or the First Hokage who pacified the chaos era. No one is exempt from the process of growth.

"Very good," Jiraiya smiles with satisfaction. Compared with Minato's talent, he likes Minato's clear understanding of himself at all times. Once a person has power, his heart will undergo tremendous changes, and if he is not careful, he will fall into the devil's way. Just like the man named Uchiha Madara.

"Today is the beginning of my guidance in your practice. Before that, you need to abide by the three rules I set for you." Jiraiya's face becomes formal, and he stretches out three fingers.

"First, I know you practiced very hard before, and I believe you will keep this habit after becoming my disciple. However, for you now, excessive practice may not necessarily bring benefits."

Minato is only seven years old this year. For the human body, it is still an important growth period. For a ninja, the physical foundation is the most basic condition for exerting strong power.

"If you practice excessively blindly, it may harm your future. So the first rule I give you is that the time for practice should be reasonably arranged. You should be able to do this."

Minato nods after hearing this. In fact, he knows this himself, but he sometimes forgets it during the practice process. Since this is what the teacher says, he has to obey.

"The second rule is your own life. Even when you are alone, you must arrange a reasonable and nutritious diet and daily routine. You may think this is nothing, but you must know that this is also for your own future."

Jiraiya's second rule sounds a bit ridiculous, but for Minato, it is very necessary. After all, he is not from any ninja clan, and he does not have any special bloodline, but his physical condition is better than that of ordinary people who become ninjas. At the age of seven, he already possesses more chakra than an average Genin. This is the best proof.

Chakra is the power formed by the combination of physical energy and spiritual energy. To strengthen one side is to strengthen one's own chakra.

The practice of refining chakra by ordinary ninjas is to increase these two powers at the same time, so the process and efficiency are too low. Moreover, the so-called physical energy is not so much about refining as it is about mining. This is destined by nature.

And every ninja's body is equivalent to its own treasure house. To know how to mine it more conveniently, Jiraiya has a deep understanding of it.

"Yes!" Minato responds with some excitement. Although Jiraiya says so, he can also feel the deep concern contained in it. Ordinary teachers would not pay attention to this. His feeling is indeed correct.

At this time, Jiraiya's voice pauses slightly. Minato notices that his eyes, which are already serious, sink slightly and become a bit gloomy. He says in a very deep voice, "The third rule is to always remember that you are a ninja of Konoha Ninja Village.

No matter what you achieve in the future, you must do your best to protect everyone in the village. On the contrary, if you try to harm the village, I will kill you with my own hands!"

Minato's pupils shrink, and his body unconsciously straightens slightly. Jiraiya makes this third rule for him out of comprehensive consideration. After all, the little girl named Uzumaki Kushina, whom Minato cares about, will become the container of the Nine-Tails in the future.

In other words, she will be used as a bargaining chip for the village, which is the so-called tailed beast weapon. If Minato cannot understand the reason of the village and thus develops hatred towards the village, the consequences will be immeasurable. He does not want to personally train a scourge that will harm Konoha!

Jiraiya looks at Minato with a gloomy look, and the former's expression is slightly dazed, but this state does not last too long. In his azure eyes, there is a resolute look.

"I know that Jiraiya-sensei is warning me to always remember that I am a ninja of Konoha. What I want to say is that Konoha Village is where I was born. No matter what happens here or what the people here do, Konoha is my hometown.

Conversely, everyone living in Konoha is a family. Although there may be bumps and bruises between family members, I will never hurt my hometown and my family!"

Minato turns his face slightly, looking at everything that belongs to Konoha, and suddenly turns to Jiraiya, and his originally gentle tone becomes extremely serious. "So, I will not hesitate to eliminate anyone who wants to harm my home and family, no matter who he is, even if that person is myself!"

Although he has heard Minato's thoughts from the Third Hokage, Jiraiya is still shocked when he hears the determination in Minato's voice. Anyone who hears this from a seven-year-old child would take it as a joke, but as a ninja, Jiraiya can hear the unshakable determination in it.

Although Minato is a child with a very gentle personality, it must be said that the firm will and belief he possesses are not found in ordinary adults or most ninjas. Only such people can be cultivated into the strong individuals that the Third Hokage hopes for.

The two look at each other, and the gloom on Jiraiya's face disappears, replaced by a strong smile. Minato's face also relaxes, and then he remembers what happened last night and asks Jiraiya, "Jiraiya-sensei, I have something to ask you."
