Chapter 220: Chapter 219 : Orochimaru vs Eternal Genins!!
"Oro... Oro..."
Might Duy stuttered so badly, he almost bit his tongue.
Beside him, Maruboshi Kosuke, irritated by his incompetence, couldn't help but speak up, "It's Orochimaru, don't just stand there! Go notify the Anbu!"
"Hehe, that's a good idea."
Orochimaru, watching the two, curled the corner of his lips into a faint smile and said with amusement, "But do you really think you have a chance against me?"
"Go, Duy!"
Maruboshi Kosuke gripped a shuriken in his hand and threw it with speed. He quickly formed hand signs. "Shuriken Shadow Clone Technique!"
The shuriken flew out and suddenly multiplied in midair, like a dense rainstorm, all shooting toward Orochimaru.
"Wind Style: Great Breakthrough!"
A violent wind surged forward, instantly sweeping around them.
With the sound of metal clashing, the numerous shuriken were blown away, and both Might Duy and Maruboshi Kosuke were almost knocked off balance by the fierce wind, nearly flying backward.
It was a simple C-rank ninjutsu, but in Orochimaru's hands, it had the terrifying power of an A-rank technique.
Maruboshi Kosuke, feeling the gap in their abilities, began to sweat heavily. As one of the Legendary Three Ninjas, Orochimaru's oppressive presence almost suffocated him.
Despite his fear, Maruboshi Kosuke gritted his teeth, stepped in front of Orochimaru, and quietly urged Might Duy, "Hurry, Duy, go alert the Anbu. I'll hold him off. We cannot let Orochimaru escape!"
"Okay, I understand!"
Might Duy knew this wasn't the time to show off, so he quickly ran off in the other direction.
"I told you, none of you are getting away."
Orochimaru spoke slowly, his hands hanging loosely at his sides. "Ninja Art: Hidden Shadow Snake Hands!"
Countless snakes erupted from his large sleeves, quickly catching up to Might Duy and binding him tightly.
Swish!
A flash of blade light cut through the air, and Might Duy was freed.
Maruboshi Kosuke, holding a short sword, stepped in front of Might Duy, swinging the blade in a series of sharp, swift slashes, cutting the snakes into pieces.
But in that moment, a mocking glint flashed in Orochimaru's eyes. "Nice swordplay, but in front of me, it's nothing more than child's play."
Seizing the opening between the blade strikes, Orochimaru dashed forward, raised his knee, and with a precise, devastating kick, struck Maruboshi Kosuke in the stomach.
Bang!
The kick sent Maruboshi Kosuke's stomach into a storm of pain, like a violent spasm. He threw his head back and spat out blood.
Then, Orochimaru grabbed his hair, forcefully pushing his head down, and kneeled him in the stomach.
Bang!
The contact between his nose and Orochimaru's knee made Maruboshi Kosuke's vision blur with stars.
Next, Orochimaru gathered strength and threw a punch straight to Maruboshi Kosuke's face. The force sent him crashing to the ground, only for his body to rebound, soaring like a bouncing ball, flying several meters away.
After all that, Orochimaru looked toward Might Duy, who was about to rush off to inform the Anbu. With a wave of his hand, Orochimaru summoned a massive swarm of snakes.
Might Duy, entangled by the snakes, felt his frustration boiling over. No longer holding back, his forehead veins popped as white steam rose from his body. He roared, "Eight Gates —Third Gate, Open!"
Seeing this, Orochimaru opened his mouth and spewed a massive wave of snakes, a black tide crashing toward Might Duy.
"Ten Thousand Snakes Formation!"
The sheer number of snakes had Might Duy in a panic.
"Don't even think about escaping!"
Meanwhile, Maruboshi Kosuke struggled to rise from the rubble. Half of his face was disfigured, but his gaze remained firm.
"He can still get up?" Orochimaru frowned slightly, growing impatient. "I don't have time to play games with you."
He hadn't planned to cause a big commotion, to avoid being detected by the sensitive-nosed ANBU.
But now, it seemed better to just deal with it quickly.
With his decision made, Orochimaru formed a hand seal and took a deep breath: "Fire Style: Fire Dragon Flame Missile!"
A stream of orange-red flames shot from his mouth, instantly turning into a large blaze, roaring like a massive wave, heading forward to devour everything in its path.
Maruboshi Kosuke's pupils shrank sharply, his face turning red from the flames. The intense heat even made his hair curl.
Without hesitation, he smashed a nearby water pipe and quickly formed another hand seal: "Water Style: Water Formation Wall!"
Using the water gushing from the pipe, a water wall several meters wide appeared, barely managing to block part of the flames. However, a beam of fire still pierced through the defense.
In a panic, Maruboshi Kosuke did a quick roll to the side, narrowly avoiding the attack.
Before he could even catch his breath, that suffocating pressure returned. Orochimaru formed another hand seal: "Wind Style: Great Vacuum Sphere!"
A wind blast, like an air cannon, slammed into him. With the sound of cracking bones, Maruboshi Kosuke was thrown back, his mind flashing with a thought.
This is... the Legendary Sannin?!
There was no chance to breathe. The seamless switching between jutsus was effortless. Orochimaru easily used multiple elemental ninjutsu, leaving him with no chance to fight back!
"Kosuke!!!"
Looking at the air, where Maruboshi Kosuke's chest had collapsed, still fighting the snakes, Might Duy's eyes widened in fury.
So fast!
From start to finish, it was almost under a minute.
Orochimaru crushed Maruboshi Kosuke with overwhelming force, even having enough strength left to use the snakes to block him.
"Hmph."
Orochimaru concealed the murderous intent in his eyes and didn't even glance at them. He simply walked toward the gate.
"Stop!"
Despite being beaten to a pulp, Maruboshi Kosuke held onto Orochimaru's ankle with what little willpower remained. "Don't think... you're getting away!"
"Annoying."
Orochimaru's eyes flashed with murder as he coldly said, "If you want to die, I'll grant your wish!"
With that, he raised his hand, forming a wind blade and sending it straight at Maruboshi Kosuke's head.
If he were hit, it wasn't hard to imagine that Maruboshi Kosuke would die on the spot!
"No—!"
At that moment, Might Duy unexpectedly turned back, his speed suddenly increasing several times over.
Orochimaru only saw a flash before Maruboshi Kosuke was taken away. Looking at the man, whose body was radiating a blue aura, he frowned slightly: "This chakra... it suddenly increased a lot. What's going on?"
"You shouldn't have turned back, Duy."
Maruboshi Kosuke coughed up blood, his eyes dim, and he forced a bitter smile: "Looks like... we're both going to die here today."
Might Duy stood silently for a long time, staring at the fallen Maruboshi Kosuke. Then, gritting his teeth, he said: "Kosuke-san, I hope you can tell Guy that his father is not worthless!"
"Duy, do you really want to..."
Maruboshi Kosuke realized something, his pupils shrinking. "No... don't do it! You'll die!"
"No! Kosuke-san!"
Might Duy crossed his arms, veins bulging on his forehead. Gritting his teeth, he said: "Now is the time to follow my ninja way!"
"His chakra... it's still rising?"
Orochimaru's curiosity was piqued again as he stared intently at Might Duy.
"Ahhh—!!!"
Might Duy's roar sounded like a beast's howl as crimson chakra surged around him. "This is my ninja way—Eight Gates Release, Eighth Gate... Open!"
The hard stone bricks on the ground were instantly shattered by the fierce wind. The violent chakra, like a flood breaking free, swept around him, and spiderweb-like cracks spread out from under his feet.
"This chakra!!!"
Orochimaru's usually calm heart was finally stirred, and a ripple of surprise appeared.
In just a few seconds, the chakra was elevated from a Genin to Kage-level—this was truly astonishing!
"Interesting, so interesting!"
Orochimaru's eyes gleamed with intense curiosity. "Eight Gates... I've never heard of such a technique. Let me see it for myself!"
"Ha—!"
Duy, wrapped in crimson steam, looked like a beast freed from its chains. He crushed the ground around him, sending shockwaves through dozens of meters.
In the next instant, his figure vanished, and the air was filled with a piercing sonic boom.
Boom—!
Orochimaru realized something was wrong and hurried to use the substitution technique.
But faster than him was Duy's figure, surrounded by the blood-red steam. He tore through the air, creating roaring gusts of wind, and with an unstoppable force, he charged a kick that flew like a blazing meteor.
The air in front of him compressed and collapsed, gathering into a point before striking.
Orochimaru couldn't dodge in time and was kicked in the abdomen.
The terrifying force pierced through his body, obliterating half of his flesh. The remaining power, like a hurricane, shattered the entire street.
"This is a Genin?!"
That was the last thought that flashed through Orochimaru's mind.
