Chapter 9: Chapter 9: Take Care of Your Girlfriend
After finishing his bath, Tōshirō stepped out of the bathroom and heard someone calling him from outside the door.
He opened the door to see a familiar figure, a blonde wearing a beige dress, with a faint scent of soap emanating from her.
Tōshirō was surprised, "How did you come to my house?"
Tsunade replied, "Didn't you say you wanted to thank me for helping you catch the fish by inviting me to dinner?"
Tōshirō almost forgot about that.
After they caught the fish, Tōshirō planned to make a hometown dish to reward Tsunade, which led to this moment.
"How did you know my house?" Tōshirō asked curiously. He remembered not telling Tsunade where he lived.
Tsunade replied calmly, "I asked someone and found out. I've been standing outside for quite a while, aren't you going to invite me in?"
Entering Tōshirō's home for the first time, Tsunade seemed interested in everything around her. However, she was disappointed when she saw the messy room and frowned slightly, "Your room is very messy."
Tōshirō shrugged, "Boys' rooms are always like this. No matter how comfortable a golden or silver nest is, nothing beats the comfort of one's own home."
Tsunade asked, "Won't your family scold you for this mess?"
Tsunade remembered that whenever she threw things around, her mother would scold her. Back then, it was her grandfather who would speak kindly to her.
Tōshirō paused for a moment, "It's fine, I live alone."
Although he was just a guy occupying the body, he had all the host's memories, so he could empathize with some things.
Living alone?
Tsunade noticed a photo frame beside the bed, showing a middle-aged woman and a boy with a cheerful smile. It was easy to see that the boy was Tōshirō. Thinking about his previous words, she drew some conclusions, "Sorry, I didn't mean to..."
Tōshirō interrupted, "Hey, don't show that sympathy, it makes me uncomfortable. I still prefer your usual rebellious look, hehe..."
His cheeky smile angered Tsunade, and she punched him lightly, "You deserve that."
Tōshirō dodged, teasingly saying, "If you keep hitting people, no one will marry you."
Tsunade replied, "I'm definitely not marrying you."
Tōshirō said, "Alright, let's not talk about this. I'm going to cook. Let me show you my cooking skills."
Tōshirō knew well that the way to a woman's heart is through her stomach. Although he wasn't planning to pursue Tsunade at the moment, maintaining a good relationship was necessary.
He started by washing the rice and putting it in a container to cook. Then he took the fish, cut it into slices, washed it several times to remove the blood, and placed it in a large bowl, adding starch, egg whites, salt, and various seasonings to remove the fishy smell and prepare it for cooking.
Tsunade watched with curiosity, "What are you going to cook?"
Tōshirō replied, "I'm making pickled fish, my special dish that I invented."
Tsunade doubted, "You're exaggerating."
As Tōshirō spoke confidently, it was time to let the fish marinate. He decided to go to the market to buy some additional ingredients, and Tsunade, having nothing else to do, followed him.
They walked side by side down the street.
"Isn't that Tōshirō and Tsunade?" a surprised voice came from behind them. They turned to see a white-haired boy and a black-haired boy.
Tsunade said in surprise, "Jiraiya, Orochimaru, I didn't expect to see you two together."
Jiraiya, with a mischievous smile, said, "Are you two on a date?"
As soon as he finished speaking, he received a punch from Tsunade that knocked him to the ground.
Tsunade said coldly, "No one thinks you're mute if you don't speak."
Jiraiya retorted, "You're annoying."
Tsunade grabbed Jiraiya by his shirt and lifted him with one hand.
Jiraiya looked at Tōshirō and said, "Tōshirō, take care of your girlfriend."
Tōshirō ignored Jiraiya and turned to Orochimaru, "How did you two meet?"
Orochimaru replied, "We ran into each other on the way, and he insisted on following me."
Tōshirō nodded in understanding.
Orochimaru asked, "What are you two doing here?"
Tōshirō replied, "Tsunade helped me catch a big fish, and I wanted to thank her by making a special dish. We're here to buy some ingredients."
Orochimaru understood.
While Orochimaru was speaking, Tōshirō invited them to join for dinner, and Orochimaru accepted the invitation gladly. Meanwhile, Jiraiya shouted, "Wait, don't forget me!"
