Naruto: The Tale of an Otsutsuki

Seeing his name on the display, Shino calmly placed his hands in his pockets and descended to the arena without a word.

"I'm so hungry..." Choji groaned, dragging his feet reluctantly.

Asuma, sensing Choji's lack of enthusiasm, gave an encouraging sigh. "Choji, if you win, I'll treat you to a barbecue dinner."

"Really?!" Choji's eyes lit up, and his energy returned at once. Charging into the arena, he shouted, "All right! Beat him, then barbecue time!"

"Give up now, or I'll make you regret it," Shino said coldly to Choji.

"Come on, fat pig!" Ino chimed in, knowing how to ignite Choji's fighting spirit.

"Damn it, you guys! I'll finish this quick and deal with you later!" Choji growled, directing his frustration at Shino as the match began.

"Second match, begin!" announced Moonlight Hayate.

"For the barbecue, I won't lose!" Choji declared, forming a seal with his hands. His body swelled into a ball as he launched into his signature move. "Human Boulder!"

Shino sidestepped the rolling Choji with ease, observing his movements. That spinning body repels my insects. I'll need to wait for him to tire out.

"Long live the barbecue!" Choji roared, continuing his assault. He rolled back and forth several times, but Shino evaded each charge with practiced agility. After several attempts, Choji stopped, panting heavily, clearly worn out.

"You've already lost," Shino said calmly, pointing to the ground around Choji.

"Huh? What are you talking about—" Choji froze mid-sentence as he noticed the ground around him was teeming with Shino's insects.

"When you attacked, I spread my insects across the battlefield. Now that you've stopped, you're surrounded," Shino explained. "These insects feed on chakra. If you resist, they'll drain you completely. Surrender now."

Choji gritted his teeth but, seeing no way out, reluctantly raised his hand in surrender. "Fine... I give up."

"Don't be too upset," Asuma said, patting Choji's shoulder. "If anyone from our team wins, I'll still treat you to barbecue."

"Really?! Thanks, Sensei!" Choji's spirits instantly revived.

The third match featured Kankuro against Ken Misumi. Ken used his soft body technique to wrap around Kankuro, threatening to snap his neck if he didn't surrender. However, it turned out Ken had only twisted Kankuro's puppet, Crow. Kankuro, having switched places with his puppet, counterattacked and crushed Ken's bones with Crow's powerful limbs, leaving him unconscious.

The fourth match saw Sakura face Ino. Their duel mirrored the original, with the two friends fiercely clashing to prove their strength. The match ended in a draw as they knocked each other out with simultaneous strikes.

The fifth match paired Tenten against Temari.

"Tenten, she's your nemesis. Don't hold back, or you'll lose badly," Kirito advised Tenten before the match.

"Got it," Tenten nodded.

"Good luck, Tenten!" Rock Lee cheered enthusiastically.

"Fifth match, Temari vs. Tenten. Begin!" announced Hayate.

Tenten immediately leapt back and unfurled her scrolls. "Since I've been told not to hold back, let's do this! Rising Dragon!"

With a flourish, she summoned a barrage of weapons from her scrolls, which rained down on Temari.

"Hmph." Temari smirked, unfurling her large fan. Revealing a single purple dot, she waved her fan, creating a gust of wind that deflected all the incoming weapons.

Frowning at the scattered weapons on the ground, Tenten thought, She counters me perfectly. Simple weapon projection won't work.

"This is only the first star," Temari said smugly. "When you see three stars, it's over."

"Three chances? Don't underestimate me!" Tenten growled. She switched tactics, pulling out a unique scroll and charging at Temari head-on.

"Brave, but foolish," Temari muttered, opening her fan to reveal the second star. A powerful gust hurled Tenten backward.

Tenten unfurled her scroll mid-air, summoning a wave of water that clashed with Temari's wind, soaking the entire arena in mist.

"She's not just a tool specialist?" Temari muttered, momentarily caught off guard by the sudden change in tactics.

Tenten capitalized on the cover of mist, charging at Temari with rune-covered weapons. The two clashed in the center of the battlefield, their weapons sparking with each impact. Occasionally, shurikens summoned from Tenten's scroll flew at Temari from tricky angles, forcing her on the defensive.

Watching from the sidelines, Sakura and Ino realized how childish their own battle had been in comparison.

"Come on, Tenten!" Rock Lee and Guy cheered fervently, their enthusiasm causing others to plug their ears.

Frustrated by Tenten's persistence, Temari unleashed her ultimate move, "Wind Style: Great Sickle Weasel!" The devastating gale destroyed Tenten's weapons and even carved deep grooves into the training room floor.

Anticipating the attack, Tenten summoned a massive boulder to shield herself, which absorbed the brunt of Temari's storm.

The crowd marveled at Tenten's resourcefulness, with the Hokage and Jonin leaders praising her spatial ninjutsu talent. However, the clash had taken its toll on both fighters.

Exhausted, Tenten made a final gamble. She launched three rune-covered shurikens at Temari, who easily deflected them. But the shurikens suddenly multiplied mid-air, surrounding Temari in a dense cloud of blades.

"Mutual Multiplication Shuriken!" gasped the Third Hokage, recognizing the technique as similar to the Second Hokage's forbidden art.

Forced to use her full power, Temari unleashed a massive windstorm, blowing away all the shurikens and leaving the arena in ruins. When the storm cleared, Tenten lay unconscious, hidden beneath the rubble of her broken boulder.

"Winner: Temari," Hayate announced.

As Tenten was carried off to the medical bay, Rock Lee vowed to avenge his teammate. Meanwhile, Kirito's use of Ice Style to protect Tenten drew astonished murmurs from the crowd.

The next match was announced: "Naruto Uzumaki vs. Kiba Inuzuka."

"Finally! My turn!" Naruto shouted excitedly.

"Darn it, why not me?" Rock Lee grumbled.

"Ha! This'll be easy!" Kiba laughed confidently, with Akamaru barking in agreement.

As Naruto stepped forward, Kakashi watched closely. Show me how far you've come, Naruto.
