Naruto: Tobirama Reborn, Invincible in the Ninja World

Chapter 19: Chapter 19: Izanagi

"Wind Style: Vacuum Great Sphere!"

No one expected Shimura Danzo to make a move against the Hokage.

Yet, Tobirama remained unfazed, his expression as calm as ever. He raised his hand slightly, effortlessly catching the air bullet Danzo had unleashed from his mouth.

The projectile tore through Tobirama's palm, but before a second had passed, the wound had already closed.

"Danzo, even now, you refuse to repent? Are you really going to attack the Hokage in public?"

Tobirama's words carried stern reproach, but his actions betrayed no hesitation. In a flash, a shuriken was in his hand and flying toward Danzo.

Danzo narrowly dodged the attack, his expression dark and unpredictable. But seeing Tobirama step forward, fist raised, ready to end him, he panicked and shouted:

"Someone, stop him!"

The wooden ceiling above shattered, and dozens of figures crashed through the windows.

Danzo was as cautious as ever. Even in the heart of Konohagakure, in his own home, he kept a squad of Root members at his side. Loyal to a fault, these shinobi obeyed only Danzo's commands, ignoring even those of the Hokage.

"Stop him!" Danzo barked, his voice filled with desperation, as he attempted to flee in the chaos.

The Root members surged forward, engaging Tobirama.

But then, Tobirama moved.

"Water Release: Hard Whirlpool Water Blade!"

A fierce vortex of spinning water formed in Tobirama's hand, spiraling at high speed like a deadly drill. Its sheer power was evident even before impact—anyone struck by it was as good as dead.

"Swish!"

The water blade roared to life, cutting through the cramped wooden space like a predator hunting its prey. The Root operatives tried to block with their weapons, but against the water blade, their defenses were like paper.

Weapons shattered. Bodies followed. The spinning torrent of water tore through the opposition, reducing them to nothing more than fragments.

Tobirama hurled the water blade with precision, demolishing the weakened wooden structure entirely. The blade, imbued with his will, surged toward the fleeing Danzo like a living creature.

"Boom!"

The air itself roared with a deafening sonic boom as the water blade closed in.

In mere moments, it struck.

Danzo's eyes bulged in horror as the blade pierced his back, grinding his internal organs into pulp. He felt his life force slipping away rapidly.

So this is Sensei's true power...

Danzo was overwhelmed. As Tobirama's student, he had never seen his master fight with his full strength. That lack of understanding had fed Danzo's delusion that he could surpass Tobirama, even kill him.

Now, faced with the chasm between them, Danzo saw how laughable his ambitions had been.

Power... Power is everything. Without it, my desires and ambitions are meaningless. The Hokage seat? It would have been mine with power!

"Sensei... I was wrong. But I haven't lost yet!"

Lying on the ground, gasping for breath, Danzo's eyes snapped open with renewed intensity.

"I still have my trump card. Once it's activated, the Hokage seat will be mine!"

Unseen by all, the Sharingan embedded in his bandaged arm slowly closed.

The remaining Root members hesitated, their attacks faltering. Without Danzo's direct command, they stood bewildered, lost. Most of them were little more than puppets, their sole purpose to help Danzo achieve his ambition of becoming Hokage.

But their master seemed... dead.

And with his death, so too had their purpose vanished.

Yet Tobirama was unconvinced.

He knew better.

Danzo's arm—a grotesque collection of Sharingan—still held the power of Izanagi. It would take far more than one death to eliminate him.

In the brief moment of the Root members' distraction, Tobirama created two more high-pressure water blades in his hands. His gaze sharpened, and he threw them with full force toward Danzo's "corpse."

The water blades streaked through the air.

All eyes turned to follow Tobirama's attack, confusion evident.

Wasn't Danzo already dead? Why waste time attacking his body?

But then they saw it.

Danzo's form, as if pulled from an invisible space, reappeared. He stood, trembling, his face ashen.

"How... How could he have known? Could the Uchiha have betrayed me, even in death?"

A storm of thoughts swirled in Danzo's mind, but none provided answers.

The water blades closed in with terrifying speed.

"Damn it! Am I going to lose another Sharingan?"

Heart pounding, Danzo frantically wove hand signs.

"Wood Style: Exploding Tree Spear!"

From his right arm, a massive tree erupted, creating a wooden barrier between him and the incoming blades.

"Boom!"

The water blades tore through the tree, shattering it entirely. However, the force of the attack was diminished enough for Danzo to evade at the last moment.

As he caught his breath, he turned to flee again—only to feel a sharp pain.

The sound of flesh being pierced echoed.

"No!" Danzo screamed, his voice trembling with despair.

Out of the corner of his eye, he saw his grotesque arm—the one embedded with countless Sharingan—severed cleanly by Tobirama's water blade.

This wasn't a mere accident.

Tobirama had planned it all: the feint to lower Danzo's guard, the decisive strike to destroy his Izanagi arsenal.

Danzo's most prized weapon—his lifeline—was gone.

Even so, Tobirama remained cautious.

He knew that Danzo's right eye still held Uchiha Shisui's Mangekyo Sharingan. The battle was far from over.
