Chapter 1: Chapter 1: Transmigration
My name is David Rogers, and I am an ordinary person. After graduating from college, like most of my peers, I became a nine to five worker.
My life is simple and quite ordinary. Everyday I go from home to work and then back home in quite a monotonous life.
Although this kind of life is a bit dull, I really enjoy this peace and tranquility.
I like this simple and pure lifestyle, without too much pressure and worries, and I can freely manage my time.
However, fate did not seem to intend for me to live in such a peaceful way forever.
A sudden war disrupted my peaceful life and changed the fate of many people.
In these turbulent times, everyone needs to make choices.
I was no exception. I was recruited as a volunteer and was drafted into the army.
This means that I will leave this familiar city, go to an unfamiliar city and start a brand new journey there.
Sometimes, I can't help but imagine what my life would have been like if this war hadn't existed and got to live my boring life but i silk yearn for a bit of adventure,
However reality is often disappointing. The shadow of war always looms over our world, making all of us uneasy and fearful.
I found myself on the battlefield charging across a trench somewhere in the middle east. Then all of a sudden the enemy charges out of their positions and begins shooting at us.
I start shooting at the incoming men and quickly kill 2 of them, and suddenly feel a pain in my chest. I look to the side and see an enemy with a smoking gun and suddenly my consciousness fades away.
David's consciousness kept floating in the darkness, as if he had come to an endless void.
Countless fragments of memories flashed rapidly through my mind, as if I was being dragged forward by an invisible force, leaving me unable to resist.
Just when I was about to be swallowed by the endless darkness, suddenly, a dazzling light flashed, my consciousness was shaken suddenly, and my whole consciousness seemed to be pulled out of the abyss.
David found himself in a strange world.
Suddenly, I felt a sharp pain in my head, as if countless sharp needles pierced my nerves.
I couldn't help but clench my teeth, cold sweat instantly broke out on my forehead and my vision began to blur.
Countless memory scenes echoed in my mind, like a movie.
Some of those images are my own memories, and some are strange memories that do not originally belong to me.
I saw my life in my original world, my parents' faces, my friends' smiles; I also saw everything in this world - the daily life in Konoha, the training of ninjas, and even a few battles.
I suddenly realized that these memories were not only mine, but also the memories of the original owner of this body.
My soul traveled here, not appearing out of thin air, but occupying the body of an existing person.
The original owner of this body was a newcomer who had just started his ninja career.
"What... is going on?" David gritted his teeth, trying to sort out the confusion in his mind.
David knew that he had to adapt to this identity as soon as possible, otherwise he might die at a moment's notice in this dangerous world.
As his memory gradually became clearer, he learned that the original owner of this body was Uchiha Jin. David tried to calm his breathing and forced himself to calm down.
David knew that since he had occupied this body, he had to accept this identity and abide by the rules of this world.
Jin looked down at himself and saw that he was wearing a strange outfit with a small bag hanging from his waist which contained several kunai and a scroll.
Jin's fingers touched one another lightly and he actually felt a powerful energy flowing through his body - this was chakra!
"Could this be... transmigration?" Jin thought in doubt and tried to sort out his thoughts, but the memories in his mind and the perception of reality kept intertwining, leaving him at a loss as to where to start.
