NIS Agent Reincarnated as a Genius Actor

Episode 11 - Teaser Video

As time went by, the main shooting began, and Yeon-woo quickly became familiar with Son Jin-yuk and Ahn Jun-ho, forming a close bond as they learned the nuances of the set atmosphere.

Sitting on a bike, Yeon-woo took off his helmet and shook his head.

“Okay, cut! That was great.”

The staff members watching the scene they had just filmed through the monitor let out exclamations of amazement.

The scene captured in slow motion showed Yeon-woo taking off his helmet and shaking his head. Although it was a mid-shoot scene, added intentionally by writer Choi due to Yeon-woo’s visual appeal.

“Now, let’s go for a tight shot. Spray a bit of water on his hair. After Yeon-woo takes off the helmet, he’ll hold it with both hands and lower it down. Cue again.”

One of the staff members quickly went over and lightly sprayed water on Yeon-woo’s hair with a spray bottle. The resulting applause and cheers were as if they were struck by lightning.

Wow!

With his hair damp from the tight grip and water, Yeon-woo’s explosive visuals were on full display.

“Okay, cut!”

“Yeon-woo, I tried to give you some acting advice. Can you dial back on the visual a bit?”

Jun-ho’s comment as the mood maker of the set turned the scene into a sea of laughter once again.

On the other hand, Yeon-woo didn’t have many scenes to showcase his acting skills due to his role’s nature, and he felt a bit disappointed that the focus was mainly on his visual appeal during the shooting.

Time passed, and it was already early December. The second semester’s final exams were approaching.

Considering Yeon-woo’s status as a minor, LN Media had requested the production team to adjust the shooting schedule to accommodate his school commitments.

With the goal of minimizing the impact on his schedule, they prioritized shooting scenes featuring Yeon-woo, allowing him to prepare for the final exams. For the adorable and diligent youngest member of the set, the staff and actors willingly adjusted their schedules without complaint.

Thanks to their efforts, Yeon-woo could focus on his upcoming final exams and return to regular school attendance after nearly three weeks.

“Ryu Yeon-woo!”

As Yeon-woo stepped out of his father’s car and entered the school gate, children gathered around him.

“Yeon-woo, why haven’t you been at school?”

“Even when we asked the teacher, they said it’s because of filming.”

Yeon-woo greeted his friend warmly and walked with them towards the main building.

“Oh, I’ve had a good opportunity for filming lately, so I’ve been working hard.”

Answering with a smile, Yeon-woo’s words sparked curiosity among his friend.

“What kind of filming? Where will it air? On TV?”

“Yes, it’s going to air soon. It’s a drama.”

Wow!

Cheers erupted from his friend around him.

“Are you going to become really famous all of a sudden?”

“Yeon-woo, don’t pretend not to know when you become a celebrity.”

With Junsoo and Seong-sik playfully tailing him closely, Yeon-woo chuckled.

“Oh, come on, what celebrity? That’s too much.”

While conversing with friends whom he hadn’t seen for a long time, they headed to the classroom, and rumors about Yeon-woo’s drama appearance spread like wildfire.

During break times, Yeon-woo’s class was overflowing with friends asking questions.

“But, what role did you get?”

Each person poured out their curiosity about what had happened.

“I can’t really talk about the role yet since the teaser hasn’t been released. It’s stated in the contract.”

“Is it a web drama or something? Or will it be on actual TV?”

“It’s going to be on TV; when it airs, you all better watch it, okay?”

Seeing his friends’ excitement, Yeon-woo realized that he was becoming a public figure.

“Of course! I’ll make my relatives watch too!”

“I’ll make sure all our game guild members watch!”

After returning to the set following his long absence due to school exams, Yeon-woo was greeted warmly.

“It’s been a week, but it feels like such a long time. Did you do well on your exams, Woo-joo?”

“Yes. I came in first in my class.”

Yeon-woo’s confident reply surprised So-hyeon.

“First? Really?”

“Miss So-hyeon, he studies well. Last time, when Senior Jung Cheolmin came to the set and we had a drinking session, he told me.”

As Son Jin-yuk, who had finished filming his scene and returned, messed up Yeon-woo’s hair, he said, “Oh! It’s a hair piece, right? Please tell me it’s a hair piece.”

Seeing the cute sight of Yeon-woo, Jin-yuk absentmindedly messed up his hair and asked.

“Haha. It’s before getting my hair done. I just arrived.”

“Phew, that’s a relief.”

“Oh, they’re calling me. I’m going to get makeup!”

Yeon-woo ran energetically toward the hair and makeup team.

“He’s really cheerful. He doesn’t hesitate to do anything.”

“That’s right. Can’t I have an ending that have a relation with Woo-joo?”

“Jeong Yeoreum, that’s a crime.”

“Why? Yeon-woo is almost an adult.”

As Han So-hyeon made a joke, Ahn Jun-ho, who suddenly appeared behind, said.

“Because Yeon-woo and noona have exactly ten years apart, if Yeon-woo is twenty, then noona would be…”

“Argh! Be quiet!”

So-hyeon ran after Jun-ho, trying to catch him. Seeing them, Director Kim Han-soo burst into laughter.

“The atmosphere on set is really good, Director.”

At the comment from Assistant Director Jun, Director Kim Han-soo nodded in agreement.

“That’s true. Although I thought it would be nice because we have many young actors…”

“Indeed, Yeon-woo seems to have made it even better. Director.”

Meanwhile, after finishing makeup and coming out, Yeon-woo was quickly approached by a staff member.

“Sir, since we have the teaser shooting today, could you wait with the lead actors for a moment?”

“Yes, understood.”

Yeon-woo mumbled to himself and walked towards Ahn Jun-ho and Han So-hyeon, who were chatting.

“I heard we have the teaser shooting.”

“Oh, right. That’s why we’re waiting here.”

Ahn Jun-ho smiled and said to Yeon-woo.

“I’ll be going then, young master.”

“Yes, Manager Hwang. Please give my regards to my father.”

Yeon-woo responded playfully, and the ad-lib interaction continued.

Watching this, the staff members laughed lightly.

“Over there, let’s go and do a quick teaser shooting.”

At the staff member’s words, the three lead actors got ready for the filming.

“The live broadcast will show the edited version for the first 52 seconds. You’ll have 8 seconds to deliver your line.”

“Sure. So-hyeon, Yeon-woo. How should we do this? I’ll do the first line.”

So-hyeon accepted Jin-yuk’s words.

“Then, I’ll take the next line, ‘Please watch the live broadcast.'”

“Then, I will hide behind hyung and noona. How about I said ‘Don’t miss it’ while we make finger hearts together?”

At Yeon-woo’s final suggestion, Son Jin-yuk and Han So-hyeon nodded in agreement.

“Alright, let’s begin. Ready, cue.”

At the cue from the assistant director, Son Jin-yuk opened his mouth as he looked at the camera.

“JNBC’s [Summer’s Promise] will be coming to you on Wednesday, January 3rd.”

“For sure. Please watch the live broadcast!”

After finishing their lines, the two separated, and Ryu Yeon-woo appeared.

“Don’t miss it!” ‘Heart!’

“Cut! Very good, everyone.”

After the CSAT exam was over, Hong Yoori was lying comfortably on the living room sofa, watching the JNBC drama ‘The Fox’s Time’ with her mother.

Seeing Hong Yoori wearing blue light glasses and scratching her bottom, her mother sighed.

“Tomorrow is Christmas Eve, and yet you’re lounging around. Don’t you even have a boyfriend?”

“Oh, Mom. Don’t poke where it hurts. Besides, ‘The Fox’s Time’ will be over next week, and that’s already sad enough!”

“They said you used to follow that school’s club because you liked someone. Aren’t you interested anymore?”

Yoori, who usually chatted with her mom about Ryu Yeon-woo, retorted.

“Oh my, Mom. The drama is ending soon anyway.”

Yoori’s words redirected her mother’s attention back to the TV.

Soon, the drama ended, and a teaser for a new drama that would start airing in two weeks appeared.

[Summer’s Promise]

“But it’s still a long way from summer, isn’t it?”

Of course, the original plan was to start in spring and end by summer, but Yoori was unaware of that.

As the edited short initial story flowed smoothly, Yoori caught a glimpse of Yeon-woo alike in passing scenes.

“Hmm? He definitely resembled Yeon-woo.”

“This kid is even imagining things now. Is that school’s handsome guy really that great?”

Despite her mother’s scolding, Hong Yoori couldn’t take her eyes off the TV.

It is about a campus romantic comedy.

Now, as she was about to enter university, [Summer’s Promise] had become Yoori’s top priority drama to watch.

After the introduction to the drama concluded, the main actors appeared along with the broadcast logo.

“JNBC’ [Summer’s Promise] will be coming to you on Wednesday, January 3rd.”

Wow, it’s Son Jin-yuk. He’s handsome.

“For sure. Please watch the live broadcast!”

Han So-hyeon. Such a tease.

And then, as the two separated, a man appeared.

“Don’t miss it!” ‘Heart!’

“Whoa… AAAAHHH!!!!!”

“Oh my goodness! Is this kid insane?”

“Mom! Mom! Yeon-woo! Heuk!”

Surprised, Hong Yoori exclaimed while crying.

Her daughter’s unusual behavior startled her mother, leading to a passionate reaction.

“What’s going on? Why is she crying out of the blue?”

The next day, the school was turned upside down.

“Yeon-woo, this crazy guy. Was filming really not such a major event?”

“Oh my! How dare you speak disrespectfully of our Lord Ryu.”

In response to Seong-sik’s intense tone, Junsoo, the Infinite Yeon-woo Cult leader, played along.

Seong-sik asked Junsoo with a playful tone.

“Hey, weren’t you surprised?”

“I wasn’t really surprised. I was in the middle of a promotion match, and the notification sound was so loud that I checked it. I surrendered after seeing the link.”

“Wow, giving up on the promotion match? That’s some level of dedication.”

Then, someone shouted from a corner of the classroom.

“Huh? Yeon-woo from our class’s chat room has send a message to the group chat room.”

Upon hearing the shout, everyone grabbed their phones.

[Hey guys, were you surprised? I’m sorry. I was planning to tell you in advance, but I didn’t know the teaser would be released so soon. It’s the day after the exams, so I filmed it the day before yesterday. Anyway, didn’t we promise to watch the actual broadcast together?]

Accompanied by a pop and a smiling emoji.

[Hey, isn’t this basic emoji not used much even by older people?]

[But you know, when Yeon-woo does it, it seems trendy. From now on, I’ll only use this one.]

[King’s choice.]

The class group chat room was flooded with smiling emojis.

**********

Hahaha.

“What’s so funny, Woo-joo?”

“Oh, noona. It’s my friends from the same class.”

Yeon-woo showed the chat room to So-hyeon.

“They’re so amusing.”

“That’s true.”

So-hyeon took out her phone, seeming to have an idea, and started typing.

“Yeon-woo, what class are you in?”

“Me? I’m in 2nd grade, class 3.”

“Let’s take a selfie together. We’ll post it in the chat room.”

As they took a selfie, So-hyeon positioned herself so that the letters “2-3 Fighting” were clearly visible on her phone’s screen.

“This should be fun.”
