"Husband."

"He is not my husband!" Susanna repeated as they turned off the stone path leading away from the village.

The only reply Susanna got was the crunch of rock underfoot, the screech like noise of crickets and the swelling tide. But Solveig eventually stopped walking, hands digging into the pockets of her unique blue tunic. She had to toss out sand, which wasn't fun. But eventually she stopped and turned on Susanna.

"Dammit Susanna! Your boy, young as he is, is about to become famous! The value of his lands will grow. It will outdo battle fame! Your parent's position to offer space for marriage will crumble to nothing within the year. Your mother will murder you. Murder you! Think about what you, Susanna, are about to lose."

It was an odd moment as Susanna, despite still being huffy, could not make eye contact.

"I'm not an idiot, but why him? What was that hole in the ground? He is always trying to do something maddening!" Susanna pleaded.

"Susan! He has been good, attentive and kind! His family has been good to you too! No one asks for your vows in this moment. Nothing is being taken from you! You can, at least, just be good in general Susanna!"

Solveig frowned, her arms crossed, it took a moment for Susanna to breathe and listen before shrugging and putting on a pouty face, her bottom lip poking out, her eyes getting big. Susanna was disgustingly beautiful and by the Gods pleasure did she know it. Solveig took a deep breath, sighing and stepping into the girl and hugging her with a squeeze. There was still sand and grit in her hands which she rubbed together behind the neck of Susanna's back before rubbing it into Susanna's neck like sandpaper. The bigger girl panicked but her skin was warm for Solveig's hands, warmer than her own special pockets so there'd be no letting go. Eventually the fighting stopped and Solveig's feet got to touch the ground again.

She kissed Susanna's cheek.

"Now, we get drunk after we walk him home."

"Alone?"

"Yes, but after this."
