Chapter 13: Chapter 13: Jiang Zhe is Under My Protection
Moreover, the influence such students could have on others was yet unknown.
In the end, the only teacher who agreed to take Xiao Meng was from the unnamed class.
"Then I'll just join the unnamed class," Jiang Zhe was indifferent.
Director Han hurriedly intervened, "Do you know what the unnamed class is?"
"I don't know. I don't care."
Since it was her own choice, Director Han had nothing more to say.
Jiang Zhe didn't care what the unnamed class was, but she quickly found out.
Class 38 of senior year three, a lawless land.
Separated by the sports equipment room and other classes, situated in a corner of the school.
When Jiang Zhe pushed the door open, a rather tall but seemingly frail boy was shouting at the top of his lungs, "English homework, it's time to hand it in! Must be submitted to me before class ends!"
No one paid attention to him. Some were playing games, some watching videos, and many more were roughhousing.
"English homework!" the boy continued to shout.
Jiang Zhe understood why this classroom needed to be isolated from the sports equipment room and the other classes.
Unnamed, it couldn't even be considered ABC, not to mention DE.
It might not even compare to an Ash Street Middle School senior class.
The frail boy noticed Jiang Zhe enter and kindly smiled at her, "Jiang Zhe, right? Teacher Luo already told me about you. Find a seat for now. I'm the class president, Si Qing."
Jiang Zhe nodded in greeting and found an empty seat to place her backpack.
The sudden addition of a new student made everyone in the class pause curiously for a moment, quiet for three seconds. They were stunned by Jiang Zhe's appearance, then boredly went back to their own business.
Jiang Zhe scanned the room and, not spotting Xiao Meng, stood up to walk outside.
"Jiang Zhe?" A male student walked towards her.
Seeing that it was indeed Jiang Zhe, wearing the uniform of Yi Zhong, he was incredulous and slightly angry, "How could you possibly come to Yi Zhong?"
Jiang Zhe lazily glanced at him, feeling the noise and boredom, and intended to walk past him.
"Jiang Zhe!" he blocked her, "Don't think that being at Yi Zhong means you can get close to me and through me, get to my brother! My brother will only like Jiang Fanyue, he would never like you!"
Jiang Zhe looked Gu Jiashun up and down; both the Gu and Jiang Family's biggest problem was being too full of themselves.
Let alone that she had no idea Gu Jiashun was here, she didn't even care who Gu Jiaheng was or what he was doing.
"Then I really ought to thank his eight generations of ancestors."
"Jiang Zhe," Gu Jiashun said with an angry laugh, "Such tactics to grab attention are so outdated."
"Move!" Jiang Zhe couldn't be bothered to argue with him.
Watching Jiang Zhe walk away, Gu Jiashun returned to class 18, fuming.
Jiang Zhe picked a spot, carelessly leaning on the railing, waiting for Xiao Meng.
She replied to a few messages from time to time.
Not far away, two male students approached; one wearing glasses was talking to another with a crew cut, wearing a skull-printed shirt, named Song Xingyu.
"Xing bro, it's her! She just transferred and already got Shun bro so mad his nose was smoking!" the one with glasses said indignantly.
"Let's go, I'll meet her!"
"Hey!" Song Xingyu called out before he even got close.
Jiang Zhe felt someone speaking but didn't pay attention until the voice got closer, "I'm talking to you, did you hear me!"
Song Xingyu held a basketball in his hand, wildly arrogant, even more brazen than the skull on his shirt.
Jiang Zhe realized he was talking to her and lazily lifted her gaze, looking over in the direction of the sound.
Song Xingyu tossed the basketball at her, but with a cold glance from her, the movement immediately skewed, and the basketball slipped from his hands and rolled away.
"Bro Xing, it's her!" Four-Eyes adjusted his glasses.
Then he noticed that Song Xingyu had become completely motionless and silent.
"Bro Xing? Bro Xing?"
Song Xingyu stood frozen, mesmerized by a pair of eyes that were enchanting to the point of bewitchment, losing his soul to them.
Pushed by Four-Eyes to snap out of it, the phrase "fox spirit" came to his mind.
Jiang Zhe was bothered, clearly displeased, "What is it?"
"We, we..." Four-Eyes was swept by Jiang Zhe's gaze and momentarily lost his words.
Song Xingyu stepped in, smiling amiably at Jiang Zhe, "We're here to welcome the new student! Welcome, welcome! My name is Song Xingyu!"
"Song Xingyu! Four-Eyes! What are you guys doing!"
A clear, girlish voice came through; the young girl ran over, "What are you doing!"
Jiang Zhe looked over at her, it was Xia Enci, the cousin her aunt had mentioned.
With her super soft girlish voice, very pleasant to the ear, she ran over, raising her arm, clearly defined muscle outlines bulged.
A tough Barbie.
Four-Eyes spoke with a very weak voice, "Nothing, Bro Xing said we're here to welcome this new student."
Xia Enci looked at them skeptically, "Better be! Let me tell you, Jiang Zhe is under my protection, none of you better think of bullying her!"
"Of course not! Who would bully Jiang Zhe?" Song Xingyu retorted.
After shooing the two away, Xia Enci obediently ran over to Jiang Zhe, "Sister Xiaozhe, I'm Enci. My mom said you were coming to school, I didn't expect you to be in our class, let me know if anything happens, no one dares to bully you!"
"Okay." Jiang Zhe replied with her face still calmly unfazed, the corners of her eyes gently curving into a hint of a smile.
As they were talking, the unnamed class's homeroom teacher Lou Qiaoyin came over with Xiao Meng.
Xiao Meng's eyes were downcast, showing no expression.
"Teacher Lou!" Xia Enci greeted politely, "Sister Xiaozhe is in our class now!"
"Jiang Zhe, welcome," Lou Qiaoyin, dressed simply with kind eyes, spoke, "This is Xiao Meng, she's also new to our class. Remember, you two, no matter where you are, as long as you work hard, the end result will not fail you."
Jiang Zhe glanced at Lou Qiaoyin and nodded in response to her encouraging words.
Hearing Jiang Zhe's name, Xiao Meng looked up immediately, and when she realized it really was the Jiang Zhe she knew, her gaze shifted shyly but then couldn't help looking at her with hope.
Jiang Zhe walked over, her voice soft and faint, "Not welcoming me?"
"Of course, you're welcome. When did you come to High School No. 1? Are you really going to be in our class from now on?" Xiao Meng asked in disbelief.
She had always known Jiang Zhe was no ordinary girl; even when they were younger, she used to solve many problems for the orphanage. Why would she come to the unnamed class?
"Yeah, let's head to the classroom first," Jiang Zhe led the way.
Xia Enci linked arms with Xiao Meng, her girlish voice full of righteousness, "So you're Sister Xiaozhe's friend, from now on you're under my care too! If anyone bullies you, just drop my name!"
In the unnamed class, as Lou Qiaoyin walked in, the noisy chatter inside didn't cease.
