Observing the ongoing ceremony, Kiotho and Anasthasia sat quietly in their places as Professor McGonagall called name after name. Kiotho thought about the house he had been placed in.
'Ravenclaw, huh? It's not a bad house. It could've been worse, like Slytherin. But to think I have qualities that belong here, in a place made for scholars who seek knowledge... Well, at least I'm not alone in here.'
He glanced at Anasthasia, who was observing her peers and seniors. Kiotho stopped thinking and instead imagined her with a serious expression, experimenting with potions while writing notes on any discoveries she made.
But as the image grew more vivid, it shifted. Now, she was experimenting on any woman who liked him.
'That's more like her.' He nodded to himself in agreement with the image.
"What are you thinking about?~ Is it about me?" Anasthasia asked, her tone sweet, though her face hinted at wondering if it was something rude about her.
'So, that's the woman's intuition? So accurate.' He thought, smiling.
"That's right, I was thinking about you. More specifically, how joyful I am to have you here."
Hearing these sweet words, she smiled and said, "I'm also very happy to be by your side~."
Their conversation was overheard by other students. The female group from their house cast playful smiles at them, while the boys looked as if they had eaten something sour.
"Could you stop flirting with each other? The ceremony isn't over yet," one boy, clearly annoyed, asked, unable to stand the display of affection.
"Stop~, let them be. Aren't they cute together?" an older girl chimed in, stopping the boy from interrupting further.
"I agree, just look at them!~ So young, but so passionate~. How much would I give to have a boyfriend like that..."
Unable to argue against the majority of the girls, the boys remained quiet, enduring the scene.

The sound of a glass being tapped with a spoon echoed through the hall. It came from the middle seat of the teachers' table.
Seeing that everyone's attention was on him, Albus Dumbledore, the Headmaster of Hogwarts, stood and moved to the podium.
"Welcome to everything here. Today is the day many of you begin your magical journey. While some of you may have already had contact with magic before coming here, I can confidently say it is here that all of you will start your education.
Education in which you will find many friends, rivals, or loved ones! In which many of you will find your path! In which your ambition and diligence will be shown, making your dreams come true!
So, let's not waste time and start the feast. I wish you all a good year!"
Finishing, he made a gesture, and soon food appeared on everyone's table.
Sitting down, he smiled toward all the students.
And so, the students began to eat, filling their stomachs to the brim.
"How does the food appear here? Did he teleport it or conjure it?" Anasthasia asked, looking at Kiotho as if he knew the answer to everything.
Satisfying her curiosity, Kiotho replied, "Creatures known as House-elves serve the school. Using their unique magic, they transported the food here."
Taking a bite of strawberry cake, he continued, "And the gesture was probably a signal to transport the food. Hmm, it's really good."
Hearing this, she asked, "If that's the case, wouldn't it take a lot of effort? I mean, look at how much there is. At least hundreds of these House-elves should be here."
"You're right, but for a specific number, you'd have to ask someone," Kiotho confirmed, taking another spoonful of cake and bringing it toward Anasthasia.
"Come on, say 'ahhh'." She opened her mouth and took the spoon, eating the piece of cake.
"It's really good~. Now it's your turn." Picking up a piece, she fed him.
"Soo~ cute! I can't!" squeaked one of the girls. Ignoring this, others watched with interest, some glancing at their partners.
Unfortunately, most were too embarrassed to feed their girlfriends, so they pretended not to notice the gazes upon them and looked around instead.
"Aren't they both siblings? You know, Luthosia. It's weird," one of the boys pointed out.
"Be quiet!"
"Doesn't change anything!"
"Even better~"
Defending them, the girls glared at the boy. Meanwhile, Kiotho and Anasthasia ignored the onlookers and enjoyed the food.

At the end of the ceremony, the Headmaster asked the prefects to lead the first-years to their dormitories, where they could rest and prepare for lessons.
Moving through the large corridors, they arrived at the west side of Hogwarts. More specifically, they stopped in front of a large door, with no keyholes or handle. Instead, there was a bronze knocker in the shape of an eagle.
The prefect leading them stopped, turning around to look at the students before speaking. "Behind these doors is our dormitory. To access it, all you need to do is knock on the door using the knocker and answer its question."
Knocking on the door,
*Knock!*
*Knock!*
He continued, with a playful tone. "Now let's see if any of you can solve it."
While he finished, a voice from the Eagle came, giving a riddle: "I am always in front of you, yet I cannot be touched. I can be broken, but never fixed. What am I?"
The prefects and older students looked at the first-years, waiting to see if anyone could guess the answer.
Kiotho thought about the answer, coming up with three possibilities. Unfortunately, most of them had something missing. For example, 'Shadow' fits perfectly, but shadows fix when light is cast in the right direction.
Then there was 'Time' which is always ahead, untouchable, and once moments are gone, they cannot be reclaimed. Unfortunately, it's not possible to break Time, at least in this universe without god-like powers.
Lastly, 'Hope' is something people strive toward, but it can be shattered by others, and once lost, it is difficult, bordering on impossible, to rebuild.
Though he had the answer, he looked at Anasthasia. She also seemed to have an answer. She found two possibilities. The first was 'A Promise' something so close but intangible. Once broken, it can't be fixed.
The second option was 'Trust' something invisible but fragile. Once broken, it's never completely fixed, at least most of the time.
Feeling Kiotho's gaze on her, she looked back at him before a silent understanding passed between them.
"It's a Promise," she said confidently, looking at the Eagle.
"That's correct," the Eagle replied, and the door opened.
Clapping their hands, the older students congratulated them, while the prefect spoke. "That's a nice answer, I thought about glass." Smiling warmly, he looked at the other students.
"Let's go in, tomorrow will be a busy day."
Inside, they looked around the common room, which had many windows. The walls had blue and bronze accents, and the most eye-catching feature was a statue of a woman, representing their founder, Rowena Ravenclaw.
The bookshelves were filled to the brim, with many books on how to use Transfiguration or some uncommon spells, with books such as 'How to Make Yourself Taller.' The common room had comfortable couches and a stone fireplace.
"Okay, okay, I need you to listen to me for a second. On the right wing is the boys' dormitory, while on the left is the girls'. Remember, do not wander into the opposite gender's dormitory as it is forbidden. Anyone who tries will be punished. That's all, you can now find your rooms."
Dismissing the others, the prefect went to his room. After that, students started to talk with each other, getting familiar.
Anasthasia looked at Kiotho, slightly accusing. Moving closer to her, he said, "I also would like to sleep with you, but for now, we have to do with this. If it really bothers you, let's learn the Invisibility Spell or something."
He paused, thinking for a moment before adding, "It's not that bad, actually. In that way, you can make some female friends and develop some hobbies that don't revolve around me."
Pouting, she said, "But I don't wanna~, your scent makes my sleep better. I won't be able to get a good rest~."
'I could propose sleeping in the Room of Requirement, but it's better for her to be separated for some hours daily. Not to mention, I don't want her to be too dependent on me.'
Looking at her, pouting with small tears in her eyes, Kiotho felt bad, but he knew he had to do it.
"It's just nighttime and morning before I go outside the dormitory. I'm sure you'll manage. It was meant to happen someday. Two people sometimes need to separate for some hours."
Her face showed sadness, but she replied, "I-I understand, Kiotho... huf... huf."
Unable to stop himself, Kiotho hugged her, whispering, "Just a few hours daily, endure them for me, okay? I really don't want to, but it's for your own good."
Trying to stop herself from crying, she nodded. "Um~, I will for you. There's no need to apologize..."
They stayed like that for a few minutes before Kiotho hardened himself to end the hug. Anasthasia reluctantly left his embrace, seeing how hard it was for him too.
With a strained smile, Kiotho said, "Goodnight."
Replying, Anasthasia said, "Goodnight."
Moving away from each other, Kiotho slowly went to his room. Anasthasia, observing his back, also began to move.
