Chapter 93: Character Dive! 20.0

"Hollow lives. Part 1."

Character: Kayt Gunderah.

Species: *Dwarfym Grandiose.

-Every once in several hundred thousand Dwarfym births, there is an anomaly that no Doctor or person of Science has yet to understand. This gene anomaly results in the child rapidly growing to astounding and puzzling proportions.

Nation: Crayosia North.

Age: 66 HLS. Approx. 32 years old.

Class: Spell Warden.

Weapon: Winged Claymore Greatsword.

Origin:

Kayt Gunderah was a war orphan back in her home nation of Crayosia, nearly half a millennia before the current day.

Her parents had been killed at the onset of the war by Goblin Thralls, leaving her to be raised by the local church as it alone was spared from attacks on the day that the awful raids would begin.

All but a week into that same war -and but a few days shy of her 4th birthday- she was very nearly killed at the hands of a group of War Mages from the opposing nation of Crayosia East.

She and the group of Priestess that she had been with had been accosted and beaten while they drew water from a local well.

The cruel and faithless War Mages had left only Gunderah alive, and barely at that for they had thought the child surely dead.

As she lay broken and dying on the cold, snow, and blood-covered ground, her consciousness slowly fading, her life force embedding from her frail form with the falling sun, something unworldly took place.

Just as the last rays of sun dissipated into the night, and just as the last wisp of Aether was leaving Gunderah's body, the brightest star in the Northern sky burst forth from its astrological possession and fell swiftly to the surface of Crayosia...

And in that moment, the world would be forever changed.

Kayt Gunderah would be all but vaporized at the center of the impact zone, her flesh being replaced in a flash by a massive influx of Earth Aether and Stardust particles.

She would be born again in a new and amazing form.

One that would change the very course of History for both Crayosia and Enverdolmal.

She was but one of the 50 children across the world who were chosen that night.

The night the stars fell.

Their fates would be drawn together and intertwined from that point on, and they would be pulled together physically with time until the entire 50 were assembled in one place by one means or another.

This gathering would take but a decade and a half, a span of time that would see each of the chosen children tested, strengthened, and reformed into staunch and valorous young adults.

At this point, they would be trained and fully initiated as Spell Wardens by a lone and ominous figure who was draped in the purest of white robes, cloaks, and shawls, all layered and thick so that they covered the being from head to toe.

Their goal?

Abolish the Evernight.

Those who dawned robes of the Blackest fabrics...

Abilities:

-Master-level Swordsmanship.

-She can focus her Aether into a potent, powerful, yet short-ranged energy blast that she can fire off from her palms and the soles of her feet.

-Can expel tainted Aether from herself and force it from the bodies of others as well.

"Hollow lives. Part 1 & 1.5"

Character: The Thing.

Species: Nuckelavee Demon.

Nation: Halfmann Island, Crater Coast Collective.

Age: Several millennia.

Class: High Demon Deity.

Weapon: Unnaturally long arms and blade-like fingers.

-Any it can pick up.

-Poisonous smog-breath.

-Toxic bile spit.

-Shattering bray/scream.

Origin:

This demon was sealed beneath Halfmann Island for longer than it can remember, as along with its banishment came an instant detachment from its concept of time. All it could do was float in its tomb-like prison, alone and in the purest of darkness, waiting for the seals to break or weaken. The massive influx of lives lost, and subsequent bloodshed as of late has caused those seals to grow weaker with every passing decade.

Not just the lives lost and bloodshed, but the immense pooling of restless souls over Halfmann Island.

The Nuckelavee is an evil, cruel, menacing demon that was born of the millions of souls of Humans and Humanoids who died at sea. The demon roams the oceans killing and consuming anything in its path. The demon was subdued and seal away by the combined might of the original seven Silver Spell Wardens, four of which were killed in the process.

The demon has no intention, no ambition, or even any real motivations outside of breaking free of its prison.

It wants for nothing but death and destruction.

It couldn't store energy before, as storing or saving anything requires one to be able to tell that time is moving.

Several of the seals that have been weakened have given it back its sense of time, and now it bides that time, storing energy until enough souls have been gathered in order to weaken or break just a few more seals. It will then attempt its escape.

It will then rend the world, starting with Halfmann Island.

Update!

Just under 500 years ago, the Nuckelavee Demon burst into existence after the last soul of one million had been confined to the Shatter Sea via the loss of human life by drowning.

One million forsaken, angry, terrified, wandering souls all combined and condensed into one reeling and powerful form...

This demon has no rhyme or reason.

It has no driving inspiration.

It is moved only by its longing for chaos and destruction.

It would wander the ocean attacking vessels and creatures alike, even going so far as to lay waste to several small port towns that would just so happen to be in its path.

No more than a week after its "birth" a squad of Spell Wardens would be summoned to see it laid low at any cost.

The battle would change the very landscape of Encverdolmal.

Abilities:

-Immense physical strength.

-Toxic breath and bodily fluids can be blown and sprayed onto combatants. The liquids tend to be either black blood or pure demon stomach bile, both of which can melt through nearly anything.

-Steel-like muscles deter most attacks.

-Can master any weapon it touches.

-Demon magic that can warp reality.

-Shattering bray/scream: This sound-based attack can push objects and combatants away, and intimidate any target pending on their resistance to High magic.

Agility: 7.5/10.

Aether: 9/10.

Dexterity: 8.5/10.
