Chapter 8: *One Piece: A Side Story – The Forgotten Isle (Part 8)*
The golem's massive form loomed over the crew, its eyes glowing like twin flames as it prepared to strike again. Luffy, with his usual fiery determination, leapt forward, but this time, Zoro and Sanji were quick to follow, each of them taking strategic positions.
"We'll hit it from different sides," Zoro said, his swords already drawn and ready for battle.
Sanji, lighting a cigarette, smirked. "Let's see how tough it really is." With a swift kick, he shot towards the golem's legs.
Luffy's voice rang out. "I'm going for the head!"
The golem's stone eyes flared, sensing the approaching danger. It swung one of its massive arms, crashing down on Luffy, but he managed to dodge just in time, his body stretching to avoid the blow.
"Too slow!" Luffy yelled as he zipped around the golem, his fists flying in a blur. Every punch he landed cracked the stone, but the golem didn't seem to slow down.
Zoro took the opportunity to strike, slashing at the golem's sides with his swords. His blades met the stone with sparks flying, but the golem's rocky skin seemed to regenerate almost instantly. "This isn't working!" he growled.
Sanji, his eyes focused on the golem's lower legs, landed a powerful kick that sent the creature staggering back. "It's tough, but it's not invincible."
Robin's eyes darted across the golem's form, looking for any sign of weakness. "The runes… they're on its chest. If we destroy the core, it might stop regenerating."
Without wasting a moment, Luffy turned to Zoro and Sanji. "Let's go for the chest!"
The three of them launched themselves at the golem's center, with Luffy using his Gum-Gum powers to stretch and reach the heart of the creature. But as they approached, the golem roared, and the stone walls of the chamber began to shift.
The ground cracked open once more, and from the deep fissures, more stone figures began to emerge—smaller but just as fierce as the original guardian.
"We've got company!" Usopp yelled, pulling out his slingshot.
