One piece: But MC is smart.

Chapter 16: Chapter 16: Conquerors Haki

The jungle clearing had become a battlefield over the past ten days, each morning bringing the same spectacle: Luffy charging in with his boundless energy, Shadow waiting calmly, and the villagers watching from a safe distance, popcorn in hand. The once-lush forest was now scarred with craters, shattered trees, and smoldering patches of earth, a testament to the fierce battles that unfolded daily.

Luffy stood on the edge of the clearing, steam rising from his body. His grin stretched ear to ear, his straw hat perched firmly on his head. "Today's the day, Shadow! I'm gonna beat you and make you join my crew!"

Shadow, standing with his arms crossed and his sword still sheathed, gave a small nod. "If you can make me draw my sword, I'll consider it. But you've been trying for ten days. Let's see if you've improved."

Luffy launched forward with Gear Second, steam hissing from his body as he accelerated. His fists coated in the faint sheen of Armament Haki, he shouted, "Gum-Gum Jet Pistol!"

Shadow's Observation Haki flared, and he sidestepped the attack effortlessly. The villagers cheered, spilling their popcorn as they watched the spectacle unfold.

"Too slow," Shadow said, dodging another punch.

Luffy gritted his teeth, adjusting his stance. "Fine! Try this! Gum-Gum Jet Whip!" His leg stretched out, slicing through the air with blinding speed.

Shadow ducked, his calm demeanor unshaken. "Your movements are predictable. Stop stretching so far; it leaves you open."

Luffy growled, pulling his leg back. "Alright, then! Gum-Gum Rifle!" His arm twisted as it extended, spiraling toward Shadow.

This time, Shadow didn't dodge. Instead, he stepped in close, redirecting Luffy's punch with a subtle twist of his shoulder. The attack veered off course, smashing into a nearby boulder and shattering it into fragments.

"See? You're leaving yourself wide open," Shadow said, tapping Luffy on the forehead with two fingers before stepping back.

Luffy stumbled, rubbing his head. "Stop doing that! It's annoying!"

As the battle raged on, Luffy began to adapt. His attacks grew sharper, his footwork more deliberate. Shadow could see it in his movements—Luffy was starting to minimize his weaknesses.

"Gum-Gum Jet Bazooka!" Luffy roared, thrusting both fists forward, now coated more solidly in Armament Haki.

Shadow activated his own Haki, deflecting the attack with his forearm. The resulting shockwave blew through the clearing, sending villagers scurrying to pick up their scattered popcorn.

"You're learning," Shadow admitted, his tone almost approving.

Luffy grinned. "Of course I am! Fighting you is fun!"

Luffy's grin faltered slightly as Shadow launched a counterattack, his movements a blur. For the first time, Luffy felt a faint tingling at the back of his mind—a whisper of where Shadow would strike next.

Instinctively, Luffy ducked, avoiding a sweeping kick that would have sent him flying. His eyes widened in realization. "I… I saw that coming!"

Shadow stopped, observing him closely. "Good. You're starting to grasp Observation Haki. Focus on that feeling."

Encouraged, Luffy pressed on, his movements becoming more fluid. Each attack from Shadow was dodged by a hair's breadth, Luffy's instincts sharpening with every exchange.

As the fight continued, Luffy's creativity began to shine. He twisted mid-air, shouting, "Gum-Gum Jet Lance!" His leg shot forward, spinning like a drill, aiming for Shadow's chest.

Shadow raised an eyebrow, blocking the attack with his arm. "Not bad. Unrefined, but not bad."

Luffy smirked. "I've got more! Gum-Gum Eagle Barrage!" His fists rained down in rapid succession, each strike faster and stronger than the last.

Shadow parried each one, his movements are efficient and calm. "You're improving, but you're still not there yet."

By the 10th day, the clearing was barely recognizable, the once-dense jungle reduced to splinters and rubble. Villagers gathered as usual, their snacks ready, whispering bets about whether Luffy could finally make Shadow draw his sword.

Luffy, drenched in sweat but grinning wider than ever, stood tall. "Alright, Shadow. One last attack!"

Shadow nodded, his hand resting on the hilt of his sword. "Let's see it."

Steam hissed as Luffy activated Gear Second, and his muscles swelled as he inflated his arm for Gear Third. His fists coated in a near-perfect Armament Haki, Luffy roared, "Gum-Gum King Cobra Barrage!"

The air around him crackled as his attack surged forward, the ground shaking from the sheer force. Shadow braced himself, his own Haki flaring. But just as their clash reached its peak, a sudden wave of pressure filled the air.

Unintentionally, Luffy unleashed a burst of Conqueror's Haki, the force rippling through the clearing and forcing the villagers to their knees. Birds fled from the trees, and the air seemed to hum with power.

Shadow's eyes widened slightly, his grip tightening on his sword. "Impressive…" he muttered.

Shadow unsheathed his blade for the first time, the black steel gleaming ominously. He deflected Luffy's attack with a single, decisive swing, the impact splitting the ground between them.

Luffy collapsed to his knees, panting heavily but grinning from ear to ear. "You… used your sword!"

Shadow sheathed his blade and walked toward Luffy. As the villagers watched in stunned silence, he removed his mask, revealing his face. "I'm Rudeus D. Rashed," he said, his voice steady. "You've earned my respect… Captain."

Luffy blinked, his grin returning. "Captain? So, you're gonna join my crew?"

Shadow smirked. "YES"

After some break shadow back to the edge of a clif. His goal is to copy the conquerer Haki from the start. Otherwise, he wouldn't have pushed luffy this far. I just need luffy to use it for a moment to copy it. I wonder how much SP I will earn from these 40 days of training.

When Rashed unlocked Conqueror's Haki and upgraded it to level 8, the surge of power that coursed through him was nothing short of overwhelming. It felt like the very air around him thickened, vibrating with the intensity of his will. The sensation was akin to standing on the edge of a massive cliff, feeling the full weight of the world beneath him, yet knowing that he could command it at will. The force of his spirit was so strong, it seemed to ripple through the atmosphere like a shockwave, bending reality to his presence.

Applying this newfound power to his sword was a revelation. The blade, once just an extension of his skill, now felt like it had been forged from the very essence of his willpower. When he swung it, the air itself seemed to bow before him, the edge of his katana cutting through not only flesh and bone but also the very will of his opponents. It was as if he was channeling the strength of a storm with each strike, the sword becoming the embodiment of his indomitable spirit.

The feeling was like wielding the power of an entire army, but with the precision and focus of a single man. Every swing, every step, radiated an aura so fierce that even the most formidable enemies would falter in its presence. It was as if the battlefield itself bent to his dominance, the chaos and noise of combat fading to a distant hum as his willpower became the guiding force. It was like being able to not only predict the future but to shape it with the force of his spirit.

Rashed's power now felt limitless—like a tsunami ready to crash down, unstoppable, certain in its path. It was the feeling of the world itself acknowledging him as a force of nature, one that could break through anything that stood in his way. He was not just a man with immense strength; he had become an unstoppable presence, a master of the battlefield, whose very existence could reshape fate.
