After some jokes and laughter, Brook stood up and bowed deeply toward Luffy. "Earlier, I accepted your offer to join your crew. But the truth is, I cannot. I can't leave this place or step into the sun."

Luffy's expression immediately darkened, his fists clenching in frustration. "Why not? What's stopping you? I'll get your shadow back! Who took it?!"

Before Brook could answer, Coby's voice cut through from the side, calm but serious. "Shichibukai Gecko Moria."

Brook's empty eye sockets fixated in shock as he turned to Coby. "You... you know Moria?"

Coby nodded, chuckling lightly. "Of course, I do. Moria ate the Kage Kage no Mi. He can steal shadows from people and put them into corpses, reanimating them like zombies. He's an awful man, someone I've been wanting to meet for a long time."

The rest of the crew stared at Coby in surprise. Usopp, never one to miss a beat, blurted out, "Wait... why would you want to meet a guy like that?"

Coby's eyes turned cold, his voice dropping in temperature. "He and his crew play with lives. They defile dead bodies. I'll kill him and Dr. Hogback."

Chopper gasped, his hooves clenching in shock. "Dr. Hogback? He's a respected doctor! Why would you want to kill him?"

Coby shifted his gaze to Chopper, his expression unflinching. "Hogback is a monster. He's joined forces with Moria to resurrect his dead lover and force her to love him. He doesn't care about anything but his twisted experiments."

Chopper was taken aback, his eyes wide in disbelief. "That can't be... I read about him in medical journals. He was a genius!"

"That doesn't change what he's done," Coby replied firmly. "He's a disgrace to medicine."

The atmosphere around the table grew tense. Luffy, however, was still focused on one thing. "I don't care who they are. We'll get your shadow back, Brook! That way, you can join us!"

Brook, his bony fingers clutched around his cane, looked at Luffy with gratitude and hesitation. "You'd do that... for me?" he asked, his voice softer now.

"Of course!" Luffy said, as if it was the most obvious thing in the world. "You're going to be part of our crew, so it's no big deal!"

Brook hesitated, his skeletal form trembling slightly. "But Moria's power... it's terrifying. He commands a massive crew of zombies, and they're relentless."

Luffy's grin didn't waver. "Zombies? Sounds fun! We've already fought a bunch of crazy people. What's a few zombies?"

As the crew sat in the kitchen, chatting and getting to know Brook, a ghostly figure peeked through the wall. Its transparent form floated eerily, watching them with hollow eyes. Usopp and Chopper screamed in unison, their arms flailing as they scrambled to the farthest corner of the room.

"A G-G-Ghost!" Usopp stammered, shaking like a leaf. "We're cursed! It's over!"

Brook, who had been laughing along with the crew moments earlier, froze. His eye sockets widened in terror as he recognized the presence of the ghost. "No... it can't be..." he muttered, his voice trembling. "We've arrived... at Thriller Bark!"

The crew turned to Brook in confusion. "Thriller Bark?" Nami asked, narrowing her eyes. "What's that?"

Brook's face turned serious, his usual cheerful demeanor gone. "It's where Gecko Moria resides," he explained, his tone low and grim. "The man who stole my shadow... I must leave immediately!" He stood up abruptly, heading toward the exit. "Thank you for your kindness, Straw Hats, but I cannot stay. You're a good crew, and I won't put you at risk!"

Just as Brook was about to run for it, Coby appeared behind him in a blur, grabbing him firmly by the arm. "You're not going anywhere," Coby said, his voice flat. "I told you, I'm going to kill Moria and Hogback. You'll stay with your crew, and your chances of surviving will increase."

Brook hesitated, his bony form trembling under Coby's grip. The fear of facing Moria was still fresh, but Coby's calm determination left no room for argument. Slowly, Brook nodded, understanding that he had no choice but to trust these new companions.

Coby turned to the rest of the crew, his expression resolute. "We're going together," he stated. There was no room for discussion, and none of the Straw Hats disagreed. Luffy was already grinning, eager for the challenge, and the rest of the crew, though cautious, trusted Coby's judgment.

Coby had no intention of dragging out the Thriller Bark arc. The plan was simple—enter with the crew, find Ryuma, kill Moria and Hogback, maybe Absolom too, and leave. No games, no unnecessary detours.

As the Thousand Sunny neared Thriller Bark, the eerie island loomed ahead through the thick mist. The massive, shadowy figure of Moria's ship-turned-island looked like a nightmare made real, its towering walls and darkened spires adding to the sinister atmosphere. The crew gathered at the deck, staring at the island in silence.

"Creepy place," Zoro muttered, gripping his swords tightly.

Nami shivered, her hands wrapped around herself. "This whole island screams danger. I don't like it."

Luffy, on the other hand, was practically bouncing with excitement. "There's gotta be zombies, right? I can't wait to fight them!"

As the crew was preparing to disembark at Thriller Bark, Coby's ears picked up the nearly silent sound of footsteps approaching from the mist. He narrowed his eyes, scanning the area. Something wasn't right.

In his mind, he called out, "Scan."

[Skill Scan initiated on 'Suke Suke no Mi'. Coby smirked. "That's useful, but not necessary right now."

Without making a sound, he used Shadow Step and vanished from his spot. Reappearing next to Robin, who was already alert, she caught the sound of a low, bestial growl nearby. Coby's golden trident, the one he had taken from Enel, appeared in his hand. He thrust it forward without hesitation, piercing the invisible attacker with a powerful blow. A roar of pain echoed through the fog.

Coby drove the trident deeper, pinning the invisible foe to the side of the Thousand Sunny's wall. The air shimmered as the figure's ability began to fade, revealing the hulking form of Absalom, blood dripping from his chest where the trident impaled him.

"You thought you could sneak up and lick my girls without facing the consequences?" Coby's voice was cold, dangerous. "I doubt you'll live to tell the story."

Absalom's face contorted in pain and disbelief. He struggled, his strength fading as blood continued to pour from the wound. "Y-You..." he managed to choke out, glaring at Coby.

Without another word, Coby twisted the trident, and with one final push, drove it straight through Absalom's chest. The sound of the man's final breath left his body as he slumped lifelessly against the wall. His invisibility faded completely, revealing his grotesque, limp form to the rest of the crew.
