Despite this unusual surge of energy, Kai was quick to acknowledge their complaints. "Alright, alright. I get it. Let's rest for a bit, but I want to look around too. This island's been through a lot—clearly under reconstruction. Let's see what's going on here."

The crew mumbled in agreement, but their relief was evident. As they stopped to stretch and rest, the people around them couldn't help but stare. Whispers rippled through the crowd as they noticed the group—strangers with piles of gold—and some looked on with curiosity, others with suspicion. It wasn't every day that someone showed up in the middle of Skypiea looking like they'd just walked out of a treasure chest.

Luca scowled at the onlookers. "What's with all the staring? I get we're carrying a ton of gold, but come on."

Mikita glanced at the faces around them. "I guess it's not every day you see a crew like ours showing up on Angel Island," she observed. "I don't think these people are used to having visitors this flashy."

Kai gave a small shrug, his eyes scanning the faces of the Skypieans. "They really don't care about the loot" he said coolly. "Rather they are wary of us" His voice held an unshakable confidence that made the crew fall in line with him.

The day had taken an unexpectedly pleasant turn as Kai and his crew explored Angel Island. Despite the strange looks from the locals and Kai's lingering unease about staying too long, the crew found themselves enjoying the quaint charm of the island. Shops lined the streets, and the aroma of exotic foods wafted through the air, briefly distracting them from their grueling work in Upper Yard.

Mikita leaned against a stall selling cloud-shell trinkets, admiring the craftsmanship. "These are cute. Think we could use some decorations for the ship?" she asked casually.

Luca snorted. "Sure, because nothing says terrifying pirate crew like seashell wind chimes."

Kai, however, wasn't as amused. His mind lingered on the repairs being done to their ship. "The longer we're stuck here, the more vulnerable we are," he thought, his eyes scanning the busy streets. "This place is, too… fragile. I don't like it."

As if in response to his unease, a soft chime echoed in his head, accompanied by a message written in gilded text across his vision:

[Defend the Elden Lord's Gold from those who covet it.]

Kai's brow furrowed, the cryptic message setting his nerves on edge. He barely had time to process it when a faint but distinct sound reached his ears. It was subtle at first—a mechanical twang, like a spring being wound tight. Then it came again, sharper this time. Kai's eyes narrowed as he turned toward the direction of the sound.

"No way…" he muttered under his breath. His hand instinctively reached for his Cleanrot sword. "He actually followed us to Skypiea."

Before anyone could ask what was wrong, the tension in the air snapped like a cord. A blur shot through the streets with a metallic clang-clang-clang, the sound of springs striking against the ground. The figure hurtled toward Kai with incredible speed, leg muscles coiled like steel, ready to strike.

Kai's instincts kicked in, and with a flick of his wrist, he cast Thops' Barrier. A shimmering circular shield materialized in the air just in time, absorbing the full force of the attack. The impact echoed like a thunderclap, sending shockwaves rippling through the street.

The assailant bounced back, landing effortlessly on a nearby rooftop with a cocky grin. His spring-like legs twitched with energy, ready for another assault.

"Bellamy…" Kai said, his voice low and steady, though his golden eyes burned with irritation. "I should've expected you wouldn't let this go."

Bellamy laughed, his voice dripping with arrogance. "You really thought you could humiliate me and just walk away?" he sneered. His crewmates emerged from the shadows, fanning out around Kai and his crew, their weapons glinting menacingly in the sunlight. "This gold of yours? It's mine now. Consider it payback for what you did back in Jaya."

Kai's eyes glinted with a mixture of amusement and disdain as he stepped forward, the faint shimmer of Thops' Barrier fading around him. His gaze locked onto Bellamy, who was perched arrogantly on a nearby rooftop, coiled and ready to strike again.

"What humiliation?" Kai said, his voice cutting through the tense air like a blade. "You're delusional if you think I've ever bothered to waste that kind of effort on you." He tilted his head slightly, his expression sharpening. "But I'll say this—you couldn't defeat Luffy, and you won't defeat me."

Bellamy landed lightly on the ground, his spring-like legs coiling beneath him. His cocky grin stretched wide as he leaned forward, pointing a finger at Kai.

"What? You think this is about Straw Hat? Or you?" Bellamy's voice was laced with mockery as he shook his head. "I couldn't care less about either of you. The humiliation I'm talking about is you letting go of someone he wanted dead."

Kai's golden eyes narrowed, a flicker of surprise breaking through his usually calm demeanor. For a moment, he stood still, processing Bellamy's words. Then, a faint smirk tugged at his lips as his bewilderment shifted into quiet disdain.

"So this isn't about you at all," Kai said slowly, his tone carrying an edge of amusement. "It's about Doflamingo. You're upset because I didn't finish off someone he wanted gone?"

Bellamy straightened up, his grin unshaken, but Kai could see the faint glint of desperation in his eyes.

Kai let out a dry chuckle, shaking his head. "You're just a dog to him, aren't you? Barking and biting at whatever he points you toward. What a shame."

Bellamy's expression darkened, his fists clenching as he snarled, "Say whatever you want, but I'll prove my worth to him—starting with taking you down!"

Kai rolled his shoulders, an air of indifference masking the sharp focus in his eyes. "I guess words are meaningless now," he said, raising his hand as faint magical sparks began to flicker around him. "But if this is how you plan to impress your master, I suggest you start rethinking your life choices."

With a flick of his staff, he unleashed a series of basic glintstone sorceries that shot toward Bellamy like streaking comets. Bellamy reacted instantly, his legs compressing like coiled springs before he launched himself into the air, twisting and dodging with impressive agility. The shards whizzed past him, shattering harmlessly against the ground.

Kai smirked, his amusement barely concealed. "Quite fast, aren't you?" he remarked, his tone carrying a hint of approval. Then his smile darkened, and his voice dropped an octave. "Unfortunately for you, I had a harsh reality check not too long ago."

Bellamy grinned, taking Kai's words as a challenge. He sprang forward in a blur of speed, his fist cocked back, ready to deliver a crushing blow. The air around him seemed to vibrate with the force of his movement.

But Kai was ready. As Bellamy closed the distance, Kai calmly swapped his staff for the Cleanrot Knight Sword. The golden blade gleamed in the sunlight, and in a single, fluid motion, Kai sidestepped Bellamy's punch. With deadly precision, he thrust the sword forward, the tip slicing through the air and finding its mark.

Bellamy's eyes widened in shock as the blade grazed his side, narrowly avoiding a critical hit but still drawing blood. He twisted midair to retreat, landing a short distance away with a grunt of pain.

Kai straightened, flicking the blood off his sword with a practiced motion. His gaze was steady, unrelenting. "That's the difference between us," he said, his voice even. "You jump around, relying on speed and brute force. I rely on everything."

Bellamy growled, his grin returning despite the blood dripping down his side. "Not bad," he admitted, his voice low and menacing. "But you've got more to deal with than just me."

From the corners of the square, Bellamy's crewmates began to close in, their weapons drawn and ready. Kai's crew tensed, preparing for an all-out brawl, but Kai held up a hand, signaling them to stay back.

"Let them come," Kai said with a smirk, his golden eyes glinting with confidence. "This fight's just getting started."

The tension thickened as Bellamy launched himself again, his springs coiling and releasing with devastating speed.

The chaos of the battlefield seemed to freeze for a moment as Kai leaped into the air, his figure framed against the azure sky of Skypiea. The faint glow of magic radiated from his body, growing in intensity as he raised his staff high above his head.

"Scholar's Armament," he muttered, his voice sharp and commanding. A shimmering azure light cascaded down onto his Cleanrot Knight Sword, imbuing the blade with otherworldly energy that hummed with lethal intent.

Then, with a flourish, Kai cast Star Shower. Dozens of radiant magical stars materialized around him, forming a swirling constellation of destruction. With a flick of his hand, the stars rained down like celestial wrath upon Bellamy's crew. Explosions erupted in every direction, the golden streets of Angel Island lighting up with violent bursts of blue and gold.

As the survivors scrambled for cover, Kai followed up with Canons of Haima, summoning massive glintstone artillery in the air. The ethereal cannons fired with thunderous roars, slamming into the ground and scattering Bellamy's crewmates like leaves in a storm. Dust and debris filled the air, choking out the shouts of panic and pain from his enemies.
