One Piece: My New Home

[Marineford]

In the Fleet Admiral's main office, Sengoku sat on the couch relaxing as for a brief moment he was given a break. He was munching on his rice crackers and savouring the taste before a Marine suddenly barged into his office.

"F-fleet Admiral, there's urgent reports that require your attention!" said the Marine soldier out of the breath, seemingly evident he had rushed towards his office.

Narrowing his eyes Sengoku simply nodded, realising something significant may have occurred.

"Just a few minutes ago, Cipher Pol spies stationed near Wano spotted Kaido flying away from his territory" stated the Marine.

"Where to?" responded Sengoku.

"By Kaido's previous patterns, it's likely a marine base sir. We assume it's the G-14 base located near Egg Head" reported the Marine.

Sengoku slowly rubbed his temples, this could be major issue for the Marines. Kaido occasionally attacked Marine bases, and most often they would be left in a devastating state.

"Damnit, all three admirals are currently preoccupied with tasks and are too far away to respond immediately" spat out Sengoku in frustration.

"Hmmm, isn't Ray patrolling somewhat near that area?"

"I believe so Fleet Admiral" replied the Marine soldier.

"All right, I'll contact him straight away. Meanwhile, contact Admiral Kizaru to head there at once" concluded Sengoku as the Marine soldier saluted and rushed to his task.

'This is unpleasant timing to say the least' thought Sengoku as he sat down and dialled the Den Den Mushi on his desk.

[Somewhere in the New World]

Having received Sengoku's call, the atmosphere on Ray's ship wasn't one of excitement but rather of pure dread.

They were tasked to head towards G-14 and Ray specifically was to stall Kaido till reinforcements arrived. In this case it would be Kizaru who was the fastest and with his fruit, he would arrive in a few days.

Ray could arrive at the Marine Base in 2 days, it was estimated Kaido would arrive sooner but they were unsure if it would even matter. It depended on how quickly Kaido was heading there. 

Deaths were inevitable, Kaido of the Beasts was a Yonko very few could match. 

2 days later...

As the ship approached the G-14 base, Ray's subordinates witnessed a horrifying sight. Kaido in his Beast form was unleashing his breath attacks across the Marine base. Amused by the destruction and the death of helpless Marines, Kaido took his time.

Ray vexed by the gruelling scene, immediately raced towards Kaido with haste using geppo.

[G-14 Marine Base, New World]

"Wo Ro Ro Ro, run little insects, your dread fills me with excitement" Kaido laughed as he prepared another Bolo Breath. Gathering fire in his breath, Kaido unleashed a conical blast towards the remaining buildings at the base.

What followed was sheer destruction, as the structures buckled and warped as the intense heat melted stone and wood alike. The air shimmered with the inferno's fury. The buildings groaned in protest before they crumbled and burned into smithereens with the sheer heat of the attack

"ENOUGH!" a loud declaration was heard before Kaido's Observation Haki was alarmed of an individual approaching him, glancing into the distance Kaido saw a figure with a Marine Coat draped over his shoulders.

"Hmm, so it's the brat that defeated King" stated Kaido as he flew towards Ray.

As both figures approached one another, two sudden bursts of Conqueror's Haki was emitted which clashed with one another.

Their wills clashed aggressively with one another, Kaido was able to feel Ray's anger through his Haki. To Kaido's surprise Ray's Conqueror's Haki had somewhat matched his own, showcasing his growth the past 2 years.

"Wo Ro Ro Ro, it seems things might not be so boring after all!" announced Kaido as he withdrew his Haki before rushing towards Ray.

Seeing the enormous Yonko approaching rapidly, Ray unsheathed his sword and immediately let his Haki flow through the blade. Shortly after, both figures clashed as Ray met Kaido's claw with his katana, Kurenza.

Further away in the distance, Lukas stared intently at his teacher in the sky who had clashed with a powerful Yonko.

'Their attacks... aren't even touching' thought Lukas as he was shocked by their display of strength. He started to sweat as even he could feel the sheer pressure their clash caused a significant distance away.

Seeing that their attacks were locked in a stalemate, both of them backed away. However, Ray immediately prepared one his sword techniques.

Focusing his mind and body, Ray clenched his muscles as he uttered the technique under his breath.

One Sword Style- Swift end

Appearing almost instantly near Kaido like a flash, Ray swung his blade at Kaido's chest aiming to give him another brutal scar like Oden.

Unfortunately, through his use of Advanced Observation Haki, Kaido predetermined Ray's slash as he scarcely avoided the attack. Even with his future sight Kaido, had barely avoided Ray's technique. 

Seeing his technique miss, Ray followed up with a swift motion throwing a powerful left hook onto Kaido's head. The muscles in his arm tensed as his fist cut through the air. Coating his fist in Armament Haki, as well as the stream of black and red lightning covering his arm, a destructive fist of Haki was launched at Kaido.

The punch landed with a sharp thud, the impact reverberating through Kaido's body, leaving a trail of force that echoed in the silence. 

Taken back by the sheer power and speed of the attack, Kaido was unable to dodge as Ray was too close to him.

Kaido was then immediately thwarted below by Ray as a loud boom echoed across the Marine Base.

The ground trembled violently, as Kaido crashed onto the ground. A sharp crack split the air, and the soil buckled under an unimaginable force.

Unable to withstand the strain, the ground collapsed. Dust and debris erupted in every direction as the earth swallowed everything in its path, sending massive chunks of dirt and rock crashing down into the newly formed chasm.

'Even Kaido can't just shrug that off and regardless, my intention was to get him out of the air anyway' thought Ray as hurled towards the ground below with a deafening impact.
