One Piece: Reincarnated as Buggy the Clown

Three days later, at the port of Loguetown, a brand-new ship was docked outside the harbor.

The ship's hull was white, and the structures on board were meticulously designed. It was designed under Buggy's guidance. This was the ship Buggy had built at great expense, the White Glory.

The Glory didn't have a pirate flag flying. They were only two people, and they hadn't formed a pirate crew yet. Their main goal was to find crew members. They didn't want to cause trouble, so they decided to form their own pirate crew and raise their flag after they found their crew.

Buggy and Daddy Masterson were both on board the Glory. Logically, the two of them couldn't operate such a large ship.

But Buggy had considered this issue during construction. The ship's propulsion system was the most advanced technology in the world of One Piece, using an engine to drive a propeller. As long as they controlled the operating console, one person could operate the ship. It was very simple, with just a few buttons that included all the necessary operations for driving.

"Captain, is this our ship? It's so big. How do we drive it? We don't have any sailors."

"I've already thought about that. Come with me."

With that, Buggy led Daddy Masterson to the cockpit. He was going to teach him how to drive the ship. He didn't want to be the one driving. He believed that Daddy Masterson could handle the job and would do it better than him. It was better to leave driving to him. Buggy had never seen a captain who also drove the ship.

When they reached the cockpit, they were greeted by a control panel similar to that of a modern ship, completely technological.

Buggy got straight to the point and spent about ten minutes teaching Daddy Masterson how to drive.

"Captain, where are we going now? Are we going straight to the Grand Line?"

"Daddy Masterson, not yet. The Grand Line is too dangerous. We need to find some crewmates."

"Captain, where are we going then? Are we looking in the East Blue, or what?"

"We're going to find a pirate crew in the East Blue. We'll recruit their captain, and then we'll go somewhere else."

"Which pirate crew, Captain?"

"A small pirate crew called the Black Cat Pirates."

Daddy Masterson pondered for a moment and said, "Captain, I've heard of this pirate crew. It seems like a new crew. Their captain is only in his teens. I think his name is Kuro. His bounty is only a few thousand berries. Why are we going after him?"

"I heard that although Kuro isn't very strong, he's very intelligent. He's worth developing."

Kuro' intelligence is mentioned in One Piece. He is known as "Kuro of a Handred Plans." Some fans even compare his intelligence to that of Shanks' first mate, Benn Beckman.

Although he wasn't very strong in the later parts of the story, if he was trained properly, his strength would definitely increase. With his intelligence, he would be a core member of Buggy's pirate crew. Of course, Buggy couldn't tell Daddy Masterson this directly. He could only use his intelligence as a reason to explain why he wanted to recruit him.

"Captain, where are we heading now? Where is Kuro?"

"I checked earlier. I heard that his Black Cat Pirates have been sailing in the waters near Syrup Village."

After stating their destination, Buggy left the control room, leaving Daddy Masterson alone to operate it.

He went to train. His swordsmanship was about to reach the level of a swordsman. He had to train hard and try to break through to that level as soon as possible. That way, they would have stronger strength to protect themselves and compete for dominance on their upcoming voyage.

Facing the rising sun, Buggy drew his sword from his waist and began to practice. He had acquired this sword during the year. It was a Ryo Wazamono (Fine Grade Sword) called "En'yō" (Blazing Sun).

This was why he hadn't gone after the two swords belonging to Zoro in Loguetown. He loved this "En'yō". It was pale yellow, with flame-like patterns. When you held the hilt, it felt warm, regardless of the temperature, unaffected by changes in the weather.

The ship, under Daddy Masterson's control, started moving and headed towards Syrup Village. Buggy practiced his swordsmanship on board.

Three days later, the Glory arrived in the waters near Syrup Village. Before they started searching, a ship sailed towards them, with a pirate flag flying.

As the ship approached, Buggy couldn't help but sigh. What a stroke of luck. The ship sailing towards them was the Black Cat Pirates.

Buggy looked at the ship. There weren't many people on board. The leader was a teenager. The other crew members were all in their late teens. The ship was small and old, like a junk ship pulled from a junkyard.

As the ship approached, Buggy didn't react. He stood on the bow, watching to see what they were going to do.

"Captain, is that the kid we're looking for?" Daddy Masterson pointed at the leader, asking curiously.

"It seems so. He's much smaller than I imagined."

Buggy couldn't give a definitive answer to Daddy Masterson's question. After all, he hadn't actually seen the current Kuro. He only knew what he looked like later.

"Captain, should we just take him down? He doesn't seem very strong."

"Not yet. Let's see what they're here for."

The good show must be watched. What's the point of ending it without watching the process?

"Hey, what are you doing? Are you a merchant ship?"

A big, burly young man in his late teens, with a simple and honest face, came out of the Black Cat Pirates. He looked at Buggy and Daddy Masterson and shouted, asking them their identity.

Buggy and Daddy Masterson didn't answer. They folded their arms and smiled at each other.

"Hey, don't get cocky. I'm asking you a question. Answer me quickly. We're the famous Black Cat Pirates. If you anger our captain, you might end up as fish food."

The honest young man saw their attitude and became obviously angry.

Although their Black Cat Pirates were a new crew and weren't very famous in the East Blue, they did have a little bit of reputation in the area. Passing merchant ships would give them some money to avoid trouble. But today, he had spoken, and the other party didn't even bother to reply.

After waiting for a while, the young man spoke again, "Are you really looking for death? You're too arrogant. We didn't want to make things difficult for you. We just wanted to collect a little protection money. But you ignored me."

The honest young man's face was red with anger.

"Hey, kid, stop talking. Call your captain over."

Looking at the honest young man, Buggy couldn't help but want to laugh. He knew what they were here for, so there was no need to continue the conversation.
