Chapter 18: Chapter 18: Loguetown - The Beginning and End
Xander woke to the warm glow of sunlight spilling into his cabin, the faint creaking of the ship swaying on gentle waves in the background. His crimson eyes blinked open, and he smirked as he realized his current situation—Kaya was nestled against his left arm, her soft breathing tickling his skin, while Mari lay on his right, her head resting on his chest.
Memories of the previous night came flooding back—their intimate moments, their whispered words, and the undeniable bond that had been forged. It had been an intense night, one that left him feeling satisfied and even more connected to the two women by his side.
He carefully untangled himself from them, sitting up and stretching his arms with a satisfied sigh.
"Captain…" Mari murmured sleepily, but Xander patted her hair gently, coaxing her back to sleep for a little longer. Kaya stirred but didn't wake, her soft expression a reflection of her newfound peace and strength.

A short while later, Xander walked into the ship's dining room, freshly dressed and looking more energetic than ever. Nami and Nojiko were already seated, chatting lightly as they prepared for breakfast.
When they saw him, their conversation stopped abruptly. Both of them froze, their faces instantly turning red as tomatoes. Nami coughed awkwardly into her fist, while Nojiko looked away, pretending to find the wall particularly interesting.
Xander raised a brow in confusion, though realization struck him moments later. They probably heard everything last night.
A faint smirk played on his lips. Not that I care… I'll have my way with them eventually too.
He ignored their reactions and casually took his seat at the table. "Good morning."
Nami's cheeks flushed even deeper, and she muttered a quick, "Morning," while avoiding his gaze. Nojiko gave him a sidelong look, rolling her eyes.
"Sleep well, Captain?" she teased, her voice dripping with sarcasm.
"Very," Xander replied smoothly, helping himself to breakfast.
Mari and Kaya joined them a few minutes later, both looking radiant and refreshed. Nami and Nojiko exchanged glances, and Xander caught their silent communication but decided to let it slide. He had other plans today.
After finishing breakfast, Xander leaned back in his chair. "We're heading to Loguetown today—the town of the beginning and the end."
"Loguetown?" Nami asked, her interest piqued.
Xander nodded. "The place where the Pirate King, Gol D. Roger, was born and executed. We'll stock up on supplies there, get what we need for the Grand Line—like a Log Pose—and anything else you ladies want to buy."
His declaration was met with enthusiasm. Nami and Nojiko immediately began planning what to buy, while Mari and Kaya prepared the ship for docking.

Loguetown - The Town of the Beginning and the End
The crew walked into Loguetown's bustling streets, the air alive with the chatter of merchants and travelers. Xander let the girls wander off to do their shopping, knowing they would return with bags full of supplies and clothes.
Meanwhile, Xander headed toward the most iconic spot in town—the execution platform.
Standing beneath the towering structure where Gol D. Roger had been executed, Xander felt a strange sense of awe. He looked up at the weathered wood and imagined the Pirate King's final moments.
"So, this is where it all began," Xander muttered to himself, his crimson eyes narrowing. "The place that sparked a new era."
After a moment of silence, Xander turned and made his way back through the crowded streets. On his way, he passed a familiar scene— it was the place zoro get his two sword, [Sandai Kitetsu and Yubashiri ] Xander glanced at the display briefly but kept walking. He didn't need a new sword; he had already purchased a Great Sword from the system's shop.
---
As Xander wandered deeper into town, he sensed a presence—a strong one. Before he could react, a voice rang out.
"Stop right there, pirate!"
Xander turned to see Captain Smoker, the White Hunter, marching toward him, the telltale smoke of his Logia powers curling around his body. Behind him was a woman with glasses and short black hair—Tashigi, the marine swordswoman.
A smirk tugged at Xander's lips. "Smoker, huh? I was wondering when you'd show up."
Smoker narrowed his eyes. "You're under arrest."
Without another word, Smoker launched forward, his fists shrouded in smoke. Xander dodged effortlessly, twisting his body out of the way as he grinned. "Let's see how far I can push my fruit."
He activated his Water-Water no Mi, his body shifting into flowing water as Smoker's smoke fists passed harmlessly through him.
"What the—?" Smoker growled, caught off guard.
Xander countered with a whip of water, forcing Smoker to dodge. Their fight intensified, water and smoke colliding in the center of the street, drawing a crowd of onlookers.
Tashigi, sword in hand, stepped forward to assist. "Captain, I'll help!"
That's when an idea struck Xander.
With a grin, he suddenly stopped dodging Smoker and dashed toward Tashigi instead. She froze, startled by his sudden charge. "What are you—?!"
Before she could react, Xander grabbed her waist, pulled her close, and pressed his lips to hers in a sudden, shocking kiss.
Tashigi's eyes widened in pure disbelief, her sword clattering to the ground as the crowd gasped. Even Smoker froze, his jaw dropping.
Xander pulled back, grinning mischievously. "Thanks for the distraction, sweetheart."
Tashigi stood frozen, her face turning beet red as she processed what had just happened. "Y-YOU—!!"
Before Smoker could react, Xander's body turned to water, and he slipped away, disappearing into the nearby alley.
"DAMN IT!" Smoker roared, chasing after him but finding only puddles of water left behind.

By the time Xander returned to the ship, the crew was already waiting for him with their supplies loaded.
"Everything ready?" Xander asked, walking up the gangplank with a grin.
"Yeah, but what's with the commotion?" Nami asked, raising a brow.
Xander shrugged nonchalantly. "Just a little run-in with the Marines."
As the ship sailed away from Loguetown, Xander leaned against the railing, looking back at the distant shore. Near the docks, a furious Tashigi stood shaking her fist at the disappearing ship, shouting curses at him.
"COME BACK HERE, YOU BASTARD!"
Xander smirked, cupping his hands around his mouth as he called out over the waves. "Come find me in the sea, darling!"
Tashigi's face turned even redder, and her curses grew louder as the ship disappeared over the horizon.
Nami and Nojiko exchanged glances. "What did he do now?"
Kaya and Mari giggled quietly as Xander walked past them, hands in his pockets and a satisfied grin on his face.
"Another Marine, huh?" Nojiko teased.
Xander shrugged. "What can I say? I've got a way with women."
The crew burst into laughter as their ship sailed onward, leaving Loguetown—and its chaos—far behind.
