Chapter 132: Chapter 132: A Dual Logia Clone!

Edie adjusted the energy level observation glasses and tested [Alligator]'s output. The results flashed sharply—80 billion.

It was a solid number, surpassing the original Crocodile's energy level, but nothing beyond Edie's expectations. This experiment wasn't about strength alone; it was about proving that Logia users could be cloned and combined successfully.

The breakthrough was monumental.

Edie's next steps were already clear.

His final two candidates for the Earthly Branches were set:

[Yin]—a terrifying fusion of the three Admirals: Akainu, Aokiji, and Kizaru.

[Daemon]—the ultimate weapon, combining the power and essence of the Five Elders.

Along with the humanoid Ancient Weapon [Usagi], these creations would stand at the pinnacle of power, tipping the balance of the world. The downfall of the Five Elders and the Knights of God was no longer a question of if, but when.

Edie broke from his thoughts, turning to [Alligator] as he tossed him a set of clothes.

"Put those on. You're coming with me."

"Yes, Heavenly Father."

Winner's Island — now the Draconic Archipelago

Carved into fragments during Kaido's awakening, the archipelago now served as the perfect testing ground. Edie, Shenhou, and the newly awakened [Alligator] soared toward its desolate shores.

"Lord Heavenly Father," [Alligator] spoke eagerly, his grin wide with ambition, "Shenhou is one of the Twelve Earthly Branches, right? If I beat him, can I take his place?"

"You want to replace me?" Shenhou's piercing gaze flickered toward the younger clone, his tone dripping with disdain. As the second Earthly Branch, Shenhou's pride would never allow such insolence.

"If you can win," Edie answered coldly, hovering mid-air as an observer.

A spark of tension ignited between the two.

"Let's begin."

The Battle

Before Edie's words fully faded, Shenhou made his move.

Lightning-fast.

Shenhou lunged, his twin blades—Ame no Habakiri and Enma—flashing with deadly intent. The swords sliced cleanly through [Alligator], severing him in two.

Yet there was no blood.

Instead, [Alligator]'s upper half dissolved into flowing quicksand, his lower body a swirl of toxic gas.

Shenhou's eyes narrowed, his senses on high alert.

"Two elemental forms…" he muttered, realization dawning. "Sand-Sand and Gas-Gas. Hmph, you're not as weak as you look."

Reforming quickly, [Alligator] took a cautious step back, grinning despite the close call.

He stretched out his hand. "Let's see how long you hold your breath—Airless World!"

A sudden void engulfed the battlefield.

The very air around Shenhou vanished, sucked into [Alligator]'s palm, creating a suffocating vacuum.

Shenhou's breath caught. His lungs burned, but his focus sharpened. "So this is Gas-Gas Fruit… Dangerous."

No air. No breathing. He had to act fast.

Before Shenhou could close the gap, [Alligator] made his next move.

"Sables!"

The sky darkened as a colossal sandstorm roared into existence. It surged forward with crushing force, engulfing Shenhou in a vortex of cutting grains.

From his vantage point above, Edie watched impassively.

"Interesting. He's forcing Shenhou into a corner. But…"

True to form, Shenhou adapted quickly. Though initially caught off guard by the dual Logia abilities, his extensive experience and mastery of Haki soon turned the tide.

Amidst the chaos of sand and suffocating vacuum, Shenhou's voice cut through:

"Kitsunebi-ryu: Flame Rend!"

A surge of Armament Haki coated his blades as flames erupted along their edges.

Shenhou slashed through the sandstorm with terrifying precision, dispersing it instantly.

He moved like a phantom, closing the distance between him and [Alligator] in a flash.

"Your tricks end here!"

Before [Alligator] could react, Shenhou struck. His blade carved across [Alligator]'s chest, leaving a deep Haki-infused wound that even elementalization couldn't prevent.

The Turning Point

The fight wore on for nearly an hour.

Despite his impressive abilities, [Alligator]'s lack of experience showed. His stamina dwindled. His techniques, though powerful, became desperate and sloppy.

Finally, Shenhou knocked him to the ground.

Bloodied and gasping, [Alligator] struggled to rise, but his Haki was completely spent. Shenhou stood over him, Enma poised for the final strike.

"This is the difference between us," Shenhou said coldly. "A mere upstart like you—"

"Enough."

Edie's calm voice echoed from above.

Shenhou froze mid-swing, the blade stopping just before [Alligator]'s throat. With a shuddering breath, [Alligator] closed his eyes and collapsed from exhaustion.

"Tch," Shenhou muttered, stepping back and sheathing his swords. He glanced down at the unconscious clone. You want my place? You're a hundred years too early.

Aftermath

Back at the research institute, Edie monitored [Alligator]'s condition.

His body, though battered, was recovering well. More importantly, his soul remained stable—proof that the fusion of two Logia users had succeeded.

Edie observed the sleeping clone in the rejuvenation pod. A small smirk tugged at his lips.

"Not bad for your first fight. But there's still much more to refine."

Turning on his heel, Edie walked toward his next project.

"Sooner or Later… The day of reckoning for the Five Elders approaches."

"There is no issue with the stability of the soul. It's time to acquire the soul fragments of the Three Admirals."

With that thought, Edie summoned Ginny.

"Doctor, are you looking for me?" Ginny entered the No. 0 Special Cloning Laboratory from the monitoring room.

Edie, leading her toward the second special cloning chamber, asked, "What are the current whereabouts of the Marine Admirals?"

Ginny quickly replied, "None of the three Admirals are at Naval Headquarters at the moment. Kizaru's location is currently outside surveillance range, while Aokiji and Akainu are on separate assignments in the New World."

Edie's expression sharpened. "What kind of assignments?" He pressed the button that slowly opened the door to the No. 2 special cloning chamber.

Ginny continued, "Aokiji is heading to Dressrosa to investigate Donquixote Doflamingo." She paused briefly, then added, "I was just about to report this matter to you."

The rapid expansion of Jinkela fertilizers had drawn unwanted attention. With production skyrocketing globally, the World Government began tracing its origins. Aokiji's investigation of Dressrosa was their latest attempt to suppress the growing influence of Jinkela.

"The World Government has now classified Jinkela as a contraband," Ginny said, her voice laced with disdain. "Just like the infamous dancing powder, manufacturing, transportation, and sale have been deemed illegal." She clenched her fists. "It's absurd! A fertilizer that could feed the world being labeled as illegal—what a despicable method!"

Edie chuckled, unbothered. "If legal prohibitions worked, the world would have been peaceful long ago."

He glanced at Ginny with a knowing smile, recalling Earth's failed "War on Drugs"—a clear example of how bans often led to greater chaos rather than control.

"Inform Doflamingo that I will handle this matter personally." Edie led Ginny to the glass capsule in the No. 2 cloning chamber and grinned. "It's time for your 'daughter' to be born as well."

Ginny's eyes widened in excitement. Through the glass, she saw a little girl suspended in the filling fluid—her physical age appeared to be around ten. The resemblance to Ginny was striking, at least a 90% match.

"So cute~ She really is my daughter!" Ginny exclaimed with delight, pressing her face against the glass. "Bonney~ It's Mommy!"

This was the first time Ginny had seen her "daughter" in person. As a forbidden area, the cloning laboratory had kept Bonney's development hidden until today.

Edie approached the console and pressed a sequence of buttons. The fluid in the chamber began to drain, and the hatch opened with a soft hiss. Bonney's eyelids fluttered. Slowly, her gaze settled on Ginny, then drifted to Edie.

Her voice broke the silence. "Dad... Heavenly Father?" She hesitated as instinct from her blood factor told her Edie was her creator.

Edie smiled softly. "I'll leave you two to bond. Notify me immediately when Akainu and Kizaru's locations are confirmed."

He turned and walked away, pausing only for a moment when Ginny called after him with a playful grin. "Doctor, you can be her real father if you want!"

Edie's steps faltered briefly before he replied, "I'm going to Dressrosa." Without another glance, he left the room.

Beehive Island

Beehive Island currently hovered above the Calm Belt, positioned between East Blue and the Grand Line. Traveling to Dressrosa with the entire island would take at least a week, which was far too inconvenient. Instead, Edie chose a faster option—taking two of the Twelve Earthly Branches with him and heading there personally.

New World - Dressrosa

Once known as the "Land of Love and Passion," Dressrosa had transformed into a prosperous "fertilizer kingdom" under Doflamingo's reign. Two years ago, the Donquixote Family established the Jinkela Fertilizer Company, building large-scale factories that attracted countless workers.

The results were astounding:

In its first year, the company brought 20 billion in household income to the nation. In the second year, that figure skyrocketed to over 100 billion!

Dressrosa, once a modest nation, now boasted the highest average income in the world, a record-breaking achievement.

Doflamingo had won a gamble with King Riku: to generate 10 billion in national income within a year. He exceeded all expectations, earning massive public support. By the second year, Doflamingo assumed the throne naturally, while King Riku and his family withdrew to a noble mansion in the suburbs.

The streets were filled with cries of celebration:

"Long live Doflamingo! Long live the Jinkela fertilizer industry!"

Inside the Palace

Under the blazing sun, Doflamingo reclined on a beach chair beside an outdoor swimming pool, a glass of red wine in hand.

"Fufufufufu… Life is good." He smiled smugly. Backed by powerhouses like Kaido, Whitebeard, and the genius Dr. Edie, his position in the New World's "underworld" was unshakable.

"Who needs the Celestial Dragons?" Doflamingo mused. "In this world, only the smart and capable thrive."

His moment of peace was interrupted as Monet approached—a tall, youthful beauty with flowing green hair and golden eyes partially hidden by her bangs.

"Young Master," she greeted.

Doflamingo raised an eyebrow. "Monet? What is it?"

Monet's lips curled into a small smile. "I just received word. Dr. Edie is on his way to Dressrosa."

"Pfft!" Doflamingo spat out his wine, leaping off the chair. "The doctor's coming here?!"

Monet chuckled at his uncharacteristic panic. "Yes, he'll arrive soon."

Doflamingo broke into a cold sweat. Why would Edie come here personally? An audit? No—he had always reported profits honestly. Something else must be afoot.

His mind raced. "If he decides to take Dressrosa… what then?!" He shuddered, briefly imagining Edie being swayed by the allure of Princess Violet, the "dancing teacher" Edie had once requested.

Regaining his composure, Doflamingo turned to Monet. "Monet! I saved you and your sister. It's time to repay that debt!"

Monet raised an eyebrow. "What do you mean?"

Doflamingo smirked decisively. "I'll gift you to the doctor!"

Monet blinked. "What?!"

"Don't question it! Prepare a grand welcome ceremony for our friend Edie!" Doflamingo barked, his voice betraying his anxiety.

Monet sighed helplessly, resigned to her fate. "Understood, Young Master."
