Chapter 151: Chapter 151: Talking with Kuma!

Chaton's smile froze on his face. Her response was cold—perhaps unnecessarily so—but she clearly meant every word.

After a brief silence, Chaton forced a smile. "Momousagi—no, Gion," he corrected himself awkwardly, "your presence here confirms that the Holy Land has fallen, doesn't it?"

"Of course," Momousagi replied, her tone firm and resolute. "Good always prevails over evil. I'm here to round up the remaining Celestial Dragons. Do you intend to stand in my way?"

Chaton sighed, his voice tinged with bitterness. "You're clearly trusted by Edie."

Her calm and composed demeanor made her words hit even harder. For years, he had admired her from a distance, and her unflinching resolve only deepened his infatuation. "I just want to know... why?" he blurted. "Edie already has many women by his side. Why would you—"

"Lower myself?" Momousagi finished for him, her patience wearing thin. "Who are you to judge my choices?"

She stepped forward, her hand resting on the hilt of her blade. "Who I like is none of your concern. Edie is brilliant, kind, and incomparable. Compared to him, you're..." She trailed off, shaking her head as if the comparison was beneath her.

Chaton's face twisted in frustration, his teeth gritted.

"Please, don't act like we had something to begin with," Momousagi said, her voice colder now. "I wouldn't want Edie to misunderstand." She drew her sword slightly from its sheath. "Now, move aside unless you're ready to impede my mission."

Before Chaton could respond, a mechanical voice interrupted.

"Target identified: Former Marine Vice Admiral Momousagi. Bounty: 823 million berries."

The voice belonged to a Seraphim resembling Jinbei, its Lunarian wings glowing with divine flames. Without hesitation, it declared, "Target confirmed. Engaging annihilation protocol."

"Wait! PX-1, stand down!" Chaton barked, but his voice held no authority over the automated soldier.

The Seraphim launched forward, divine flames igniting around its fist. Its blow surged toward Momousagi, but before it could connect, Chenlong stepped in, his massive form absorbing the attack.

Boom!

The punch landed, divine flames engulfing Chenlong, but he emerged unscathed, his Conqueror's Haki flaring.

"Target updated: Chenlong. Bounty: 1.5 billion berries," the Seraphim droned, its mechanical eyes locking onto him.

"Is this supposed to be Vegapunk's masterpiece?" Chenlong scoffed, his fist crackling with power. "What a waste of Lunarian talent."

With one devastating punch, Chenlong struck the Seraphim's face, sending it crashing into the ground. The laser it had been charging detonated in its mouth, leaving the machine sparking and twitching in a crater.

"PX-1!" Chaton gasped.

Chenlong dusted off his fists. "Pathetic. This thing couldn't hold a candle to the Earthly Branches."

"Chenlong," Momousagi sighed, surveying the damaged Seraphim, "that was expensive."

Chenlong knelt apologetically. "Forgive me, Momousagi. I acted in haste."

"Forget it," she said, turning away. "There are more Seraphims on this island. Let's claim them."

Chaton stood motionless, cigarette in hand, as Momousagi and Chenlong departed.

"Vice Admiral?" a Marine colonel asked cautiously.

"Let them go," Chaton replied, lighting his cigarette. "The World Government has already fallen. What's the point?"

The colonel hesitated before offering a soft reassurance. "There are plenty of women in the world, Vice Admiral. No need to dwell on one."

Chaton shot him a sharp look. "You really don't know when to shut up, do you?"

The colonel kept his thoughts to himself but couldn't help thinking: You never even had a chance.

Meanwhile, Momousagi and Chenlong moved swiftly to claim the remaining Seraphims. As they approached a bridge, a familiar figure appeared, blocking their path—a burly man in a bellyband, leading another Seraphim.

"Relax," Sentomaru said, raising his hands in a placating gesture. "I'm not here to fight."

Momousagi narrowed her eyes. "Sentomaru?"

"Dr. Vegapunk told me to look out for you," she said cautiously.

"Yeah, about that... I've got some complaints for the old man," Sentomaru grumbled. "But for now, follow me. There's something you need to see."

The Sabaody Archipelago was in chaos, and the holy land of Mariejois was no better. A fierce battle raged within its borders, with the elite Knights of God defending their stronghold. Each of the nine knights boasted extraordinary combat prowess—Doflamingo-level strength at their weakest and wielding the powers of mythical Zoan or special Paramecia Devil Fruits. As the primary guardians of the Celestial Dragons, their collective strength could obliterate any of the Four Emperors' pirate crews.

But even they were no match for the Twelve Earthly Branches. Save for Shenhou, every Earthly Branch possessed Admiral-level combat power. As the battle dragged on, one by one, the knights fell—not slain but subdued and captured. The once-impenetrable boundary dome of Mariejois was dismantled piece by piece, its protective shield fading with each generator deactivated.

Meanwhile, in the garden reserved for royalty, a fragile calm settled among the kings. They kept to themselves, except for one—the ever-resolute Princess Otohime. With determined steps, she approached Daemon, the stoic Earthly Branch left behind to ensure the kings' safety.

"Can I return to Fish-Man Island?" Otohime asked, her voice earnest.

Daemon, an elderly man with a slight stoop, barely glanced her way. Protecting royalty was his task; conversing with them was not. He remained silent until Otohime invoked Edie's name.

"I know Mr. Edie," she pressed. "If he knew, he would surely allow it."

Finally, Daemon relented. After a brief phone call to confirm, he nodded. "Heavenly Father agrees." With his assistance, Otohime safely traversed the fragile remnants of the border dome and left Mariejois.

Elsewhere in the holy land, within an opulent but deserted mansion, the atmosphere was strikingly different. Inside a grand dining room, Morgans ravenously devoured a feast, his hunger betraying weeks of deprivation. Across from him sat Edie, observing with an amused smirk.

"The Birdman look suits you better," Edie remarked.

"Thank you for saving me, doctor," Morgans mumbled between bites. "I must recover my Newsbird Group immediately! The events of today need to reach the world!"

Edie waved off his urgency. "In due time. The World Summit must conclude first."

Before Morgans could protest, Hancock entered the room with news. "Sir Edie, Doflamingo has brought someone to see you."

Edie nodded. "Let him in."

Doflamingo arrived, a sinister grin on his face, accompanied by none other than Bartholomew Kuma. "Fufufu… Doctor, this man has been secretly colluding with the Revolutionary Army. They likely already know about what's happening here."

Kuma remained silent, his expression unreadable.

Doflamingo's voice carried a hint of mockery. "What do you intend to do with him?"

"Kuma," Edie addressed him directly, "Ginny speaks of you often."

Kuma's composed demeanor faltered. "How is she?" he asked hesitantly.

"She's well," Edie replied. "Disappointed you didn't rescue her, but content now with her daughter."

A flicker of relief crossed Kuma's face. "Thank you… But I must inform you—Mr. Dragon knows everything that has transpired here. He wishes to meet with you to discuss the future of the world."

Edie narrowed his eyes, his tone turning cold. "If he wants to talk, why doesn't he come himself?"

Kuma hesitated, unsure how to respond.

Edie scoffed. "Cowardice has no place in shaping the world's future. When he grows the courage to meet me in person, we'll talk. Until then, he's not worthy of this conversation."

Rising from his seat, Edie left the room with a final remark that hung heavily in the air. "Right now, he doesn't deserve to speak of such matters."

Kuma stood motionless, absorbing the sting of those words. He wanted to defend Dragon, to proclaim his leader's vision and bravery. But in the face of Edie's undeniable power and influence, the words caught in his throat.

"Fufufu… The Revolutionary Army seems laughable now," Doflamingo sneered. "How can a man who doesn't dare face the doctor himself lead a revolution?"

Morgans chimed in, his laughter booming. "The doctor wouldn't stoop to underhanded tactics. If he wanted to crush them, he could do so easily."

As the two men left, Kuma was left alone, doubts creeping into his mind. Had Dragon miscalculated? Was his caution a sign of weakness?

By nightfall, Mariejois lay in Edie's hands. The Earthly Branches had vanquished the Knights of God, and the once-mighty Border Dome had crumbled into nothingness. The kings, now under Edie's watch, dined quietly, their earlier fears replaced with uneasy acceptance. None dared leave without his permission.

For now, the chaos had subsided, but the world's new order was only beginning to take shape under Edie's control.
