Chapter 173: Reunion with the Golden Lion
-----
Whoosh!
At the entrance of the sixth level of Impel Down, known as Eternal Hell, a shadowy figure silently appeared.
Several surveillance Den Den Mushi turned toward the figure, but Uchiha Kitaro activated his Sharingan, casting a genjutsu.
Swoosh!
All the Den Den Mushi's eyes transformed into the distinct pattern of the Sharingan.

Impel Down Control Room
"Huh?!"
One of the guards monitoring the cameras frowned at the screens.
"What's wrong?" his colleague asked, noticing his reaction.
The guard pointed at the sixth-level monitor. "I thought I saw a figure appear on the sixth level's camera just now."
His coworker leaned in to inspect the footage closely. Despite the heightened security following the incident six months ago, with massive funds invested in acquiring advanced surveillance Den Den Mushi to eliminate blind spots, no one appeared on the screens.
"Where? There's nothing there! Did you drink too much again last night? Don't scare yourself!"
"Maybe… Maybe I did. Sorry!"
Uchiha Kitaro walked casually with his hands in his pockets.
"Hey, kid! Let me out, and I'll tell you where my treasure is! It's a fortune I amassed after wiping out an entire nation! Enough for you to live ten lifetimes!"
"Brat! Free me, and you'll gain a fortune beyond measure. I've destroyed two nations! Follow me, and I'll make you rich beyond your wildest dreams!"
"Let me out! Let me out!"
"Release me, or I'll kill you!"
The sixth level of Eternal Hell still housed about thirty prisoners, even though its numbers had dwindled.
The pirates clamored to convince Uchiha Kitaro, some tempting him with riches, others threatening him outright.
Buzz!
A wave of overwhelming Conqueror's Haki surged from Uchiha Kitaro, crushing down precisely on the pirates.
Boom!
"Argh!"
"Waaaah!"
The pirates slammed against the walls, coughing up blood and crying out in pain.
"Conqueror's Haki?!"
"Who are you?! There's no way you're just a guard!"
The pirates were stunned. Such a powerful display of Conqueror's Haki—it couldn't be anyone ordinary. Could it be Red-Haired Shanks?
Their confusion didn't last long as they got a clear look at the intruder: black hair, a young and handsome face, a blue high-collared shirt paired with deep-blue pants, and a red sash tied around his waist with a longsword hanging from it. The most striking feature was his crimson eyes, marked by three tomoe, radiating an aura of malevolence and power.
"It's… It's… It's you!"
One pirate recognized Uchiha Kitaro instantly. Sweat poured from his forehead, and his face twisted in terror.
"Who is he?!"
Many pirates had no idea who Uchiha Kitaro was.
"He's… He's the strongest man in the world—the Emperor, Uchiha Kitaro!"
"What?!"
The revelation sent shockwaves through the remaining pirates. While not all of them stayed updated on current events, the name Uchiha Kitaro was impossible to ignore.
As the world's strongest man, Uchiha Kitaro's reputation was colossal, drawing admiration and envy in equal measure. Many pirates once dreamed of claiming his head to gain fame and fortune.
Yet now, seeing him in person, they were overwhelmed. The raw, unrelenting power of his Conqueror's Haki made them reconsider their ambitions.
"Why is he here?!"
Confusion spread among the prisoners. Why would a man with a 10-billion-beris bounty, a super-criminal wanted by the World Government, casually stroll into Impel Down?
"Lord Kitaro! Please free me! I'll be your loyal dog forever! Just give the command, and I'll bite anyone you point to!"
Some prisoners quickly realized the futility of resistance and prostrated themselves, begging for freedom. After all, if even Impel Down couldn't stop him, he was clearly unstoppable.
Uchiha Kitaro ignored their pleas and continued walking.
The remaining pirates, seeing their desperation unacknowledged, grew hostile.
"You bastard! I begged you, and you ignored me?! Fine, don't blame me for what happens next!"
Squelch!
A bolt of blue lightning materialized, piercing straight through the head of the pirate who had shouted. He collapsed, lifeless, before finishing his sentence.
"…"
The other pirates froze, terror etched on their faces. Those who had considered screaming for help abandoned the idea immediately.
They were prisoners of Eternal Hell. Death was always a looming possibility, but they weren't eager to meet it today.
Uchiha Kitaro's cold gaze swept across the room, and none dared to meet his eyes. He continued forward without a hint of compassion.
The prisoners confined to the sixth level were the worst of the worst—monsters who had committed heinous crimes.
While Uchiha Kitaro didn't consider himself a hero, he also refused to be categorized as a villain. This was precisely why he despised being called a pirate.
Pirates often masked their atrocities under the guise of freedom, but most were nothing more than savage marauders who killed and plundered without conscience.
As long as they didn't provoke him, Uchiha Kitaro was content to leave them be. But once crossed, he showed no mercy.
Eventually, Uchiha Kitaro reached the innermost part of the level.
Unlike the other cells, this one was entirely unique—a specially crafted prison made entirely of Seastone.
The cell's entrance was tightly secured, covered in layers of locks from top to bottom.
Inside this fortified cage lay a legend: the infamous pirate Golden Lion Shiki.
