One piece: The Fist of Justice

Chapter 14: The Exploding Blade of Justice

Brago walked through the crowded streets of Kyuka. The Tourist Island frequently experienced many large rushes throughout the year. It was just that nice of a place, full of many lavished hotels, beaches, and other attractions that brought the rich and the fortunate to their shores. Unfortunately, that also meant that it brought the attraction of many different pirates.

Thankfully the Island was well defended by the Marines. But even they wouldn't be enough to hold off the most dangerous of pirates.

" Oof!" Brago gasped. He hadn't been paying attention and as he was walking, he accidentally bumped into a little girl, who had been running and when she hit the ground she ended up letting go of her pink balloon.

" Kana!" An older man called out a name and ran towards the little girl on the ground, Brago figured this girl must have been the man's daughter.

" Owie. Mr. My balloon." Kana rubbed her bruised arm and reached for her balloon as it floated away from her.

" I'm sorry about that, young lady. I wasn't paying attention." Brago said to the girl. He reached out his long arm and grabbed ahold of the balloon and brought it back down for the girl, before it got away from him. " Here ya go."

" Thank you, Mr."

" Thank you, so much sir. I am sorry for accident." Kana's father spoke. " Kana, I told you not to go running off like that."

" Sorry, papa."

" Hey, it's no problem at all. Here young lady." Brago spoke, he reached into his pocket and pulled out about five gold pieces and handed them to the little girl. " Here, go buy yourself some ice cream on me, okay."

" Wow! Thank you, Mr!"

" Wow! Thank you, sir, I appreciate it, really."

Brago waved and walked past the shorter man. " No worries. You guys just take care of yourselves. Alright. Bye now." Brago smiled at the young girl and kept on walking forward. Thinking to himself that it was nice to be able to help such a young lady.

" All well, I might have to set sail again soon. If I don't find any leads to the pirates or bandits by night fall, then I'll stay at an inn and leave for the next island in the morning. Damn, I really was banking on the fact that this was a vacation island. I figured there would be at least one crew, hoping to score big. Oh well, I still have a few weeks to turn up something big. Can't let Markus leave me behind completely. "

Brago continued his search for the next few hours, searching through the city for any signs of crews hiding low, or for anything that would help him in his search. And after the sun finally began to set, Brago decided it was time to settle in for the night and tomorrow he would move on to the next island.

....

Hotel Casa de blanca.

" Hello! Welcome to the casa de blanca, sir. How can I help you?" The front desk receptionist was a nice young lady with brown hair and soft blue eyes, and a soft round face. And her attitude was very upbeat than what Brago expected.

" Hi, can I get a single for the night?"

" Yes, sir. One single for the night will be about fifty million Berries."

" Fifty-Million?! DAMN!"

" Yes, well, that's for our cheapest room. If that's a problem, I'm afraid there's not much else I can do for you." The woman told Brago.

" No, it's fine. Just didn't expect to drop so much money on a single room for the night. Oh well. No use in complaining now." Brago muttered. He reached into his robe and pulled out a large pouch of money and placed it on the table and started pulling out cash. " Here, that should cover it."

The receptionist took the cash from Brago and counted it out in front of him. All fifty-Million of it.

" All right, sir. Here is your key. If you'd follow me upstairs, I'd be glad to show you to your room."

" Thank you." Brago told the woman. He grabbed his pouch and followed the young lady towards the stairs, where for a second he felt the ooze of bloodlust linger in the air. It was there for just a second, but then it vanished completely. ' I know I felt that. Oh great, guess I'm not getting much sleep tonight.' Brago thought to himself. ' Could it be a pirate? No. No one seems to be aware of anything, maybe someone jealous or just looking to cause trouble. I'll keep an eye out on the inn.'

After a short walk up the velvet stairs, the receptionist eventually brought Brago to his room. It was placed conveniently on the middle floor of the building, a good spot for Brago to be able to watch the floors below and above.

Brago was relieved to finally be at his room, so he decided to thank the receptionist personally. He reached down and placed his hand on the receptionist's face and smiled. " Thank you, miss. You have a good night now. And be safe. If anything happens, just scream and I'll come rescue you." Brago told the woman.

The receptionist turned fifty shades of red and immediately started running away while screaming in embarrassment.

" Hah, she's a nice girl." Brago muttered. He opened the door to his room and stepped inside. The color inside was a beautiful sky blue with a nice green carpet, almost like it was meant to feel like the outdoors.

His bed was the biggest size they had, but even then, it seemed like it would be a snug fit for the giant.

" Alright. I might as well get shut eye while I can." Brago muttered. He placed his blades down by his bed side and laid down on the mattress. It was softer than any mattress Brago had ever felt. But then again when compared to the floor anything was better.

Brago let out a sigh of relief and then within moments felt the weight of sleep overtake him.

Meanwhile not too far from the shore a group of rather experienced pirates were gathering.

Captain of the Ghouls Twin scythe Ghastly- Bounty 695,700,085

" Alright, this is it. Tonight, we raid the island and get big moms treats. Or else we're all on the chopping block. Understand?" Ghastly spoke.

There was a collective gulp amongst the crew of the Ghouls. They knew very well what terrors awaited them if they failed to bring back what was requested by a pirate as deadly and as vicious as Charlotte Linlin.

Ghoul watched from a little far out and then, there at the center of the city a single puff of smoke appeared and the sound almost like that of a gunshot rang out loud, drawing the attention of those still awake, and then in the night sky came a bright explosion of colors. A firework.

Upon hearing the firework, Brago woke up.

" There's the signal! Move!" Ghastly shouted.

Three ships including Ghastly's main ship started moving towards the shore and all together at once they started bombarding the island with cannonballs.

Brago immediately shot out of his bed grabbed his blades and ran out of his room and into the hallway where all of the residents of the hotel were running amok.

" Everyone! Evacuate to the nearest navy base!" Brago shouted. " Time to go to work." Brago pulled his swords out of the sheaths, revealing two silver blades.

" One blade has a blue hilt with a Golden tsuba guard, on the Hamon, the edge of the sword, is a neat blue flame pattern, while the rest of it is silver and on the bottom near the Tsuba guard, there is a word carved into the blade it reads, " RAN." This swords name is RAN, the Burning dragon.

The other sword had a red hilt, with a golden Tsuba guard, like Ran, this blade was nearly all silver, with the exception of the bright red flame pattern on the Hamon, the sharp edge of the blade. Like Ran this blade has a name etched on the bottom of the blade near the hilt. This one reads as such. " SHAW." This swords name is SHAW, the Blazing dragon.

They were the twin blades, RAN AND SHAW, one of the twenty-one great grade swords, and they are magnificent!" Brago exclaimed. Sensing the oncoming danger, Brago leaped from the nearest hotel window. He jumped into the air and as a volley of cannon fire looked to drop upon the building, Brago twirled his two blades like a yo-yo and cut the cannon balls in half, before they could hit the building.

Brago landed on the ground and twirled his blades above his head. " HAHA! Let's get down to business!"

......

Ghastly and his men quickly descended upon the Island of luxury.

The marines were quick to intervene, unfortunately the surprise attack had caught them at a time where they were spread thin.

The pirates had timed things perfectly for the shift change.

The pirates used this distraction to storm the Island together, roughly two hundred of them, and killed and destroyed everything in their way while they searched for big mom's prize.

" AhhhH! It's pirates! Run- Agh!"

The people were in panic, running as fast as they could all the while the Marines were trying their best to mount a counterattack, though to no avail, there was just too many to handle at once without proper communication and formation.

" Yehaaaaaa! Kill them all." Ghastly exclaimed. " Take everything. And get those damn pastries!"

The smoke was thick, and the fire was hot and spreading fast. Running through the smoke was Kana and her parents. Her mother was tired from breathing in the smoke while running, and her father was also tired from running while carrying her. But he kept going. They both did, despite the fact that things were bad, they held out hope for escape.

" What's this? More fresh meat? Get'em boys!" Ghastly exclaimed.

" Haha! On it boss!"

" Sorry, kids! No survivors! HAHAHAHA!"

" Agh!" Kana's mother collapsed. The running was becoming too much for her lungs to handle, the amount of smoke she's breathed in has taken its toll.

" Sarah! Come on, we have to go."

" No... John go! I can't!"

John dropped down next to Sarah and tried picking her up, but as he did, the pirates that were chasing them finally caught up.

" John! Behind you!" Sarah shouted.

John turned around and just as a sword was getting ready to hit the man in his face.

" YEHAAAAAAAAHAAAA!" Ghastly wailed. The sight of death and terror delighted him to no end.

* Boom! Shing! Shing! ShinG!

Brago arrived from out of nowhere and cut the pirates surrounding the small family down, ending Ghastly's laughter at once.

" What the fuck?" Ghastly muttered.

Brago stood over the family and helped them all up to their feet. " Easy. There there now. You'll all be alright." Brago told the trio.

" Mr!"

" Hey little lady! You okay?"

" HEY?! Who the fuck are you?!"

Hearing Ghastly's yelling, Brago sighed. " You all best get out of here while you got the chance. This place is about to become a warzone. You should head over to the Marine base just north of here, that way. Don't worry, the pirates there have been taken care of." Brago explained.

' What the hell? Taken care of? There were a third of our forces over there. At least 67 guys. He took care of them alone? No way.' Ghastly thought to himself. " HEY! I asked you a question punk. Who are you?!"

" Who am I? HAHA! DOES THE SYMBOL NOT SAY IT ALL?!" Brago exclaimed. He pointed to the symbol on the back of his vest.

" JUSTICE!" * Doom!

" Justice? A Marine?"

" HAHAHA! I am the strongest swordsman to ever come from the school of love, taught by Rear Admiral Bogard and Vice Admiral Garp! The Dancing Dragon! Brago!" Brago twirled his two swords around in a spectacular fashion, before bringing them down in front of his chest and smiling.

" Dragon?! I'll carve the scales off of this lizard." Ghastly stated.

Brago raised his blades and sneered at Ghastly. " Oh? Please, feel free to try." Bragos high and eccentric voice was suddenly chilly and cold to the bone, reaching a low level of tone hardly heard of from this man.

Next time the self-proclaimed Dancing Dragon vs The malicious Ghastly.

Guy's it looks like Brago pulled the short straw on the wheel of luck. Fighting one of Big Mom's allies. That can't be good for your health. And what about Markus What's he up to? Find out! Next time!
