Above the endless sea, Roja and Kalifa stood on the deck of the massive Admiral-class warship.
Behind them, dozens of Roja's created phantoms moved with precision, operating the warship in an orderly fashion.
Kalifa held a bounty poster in her hand, her sharp eyes scanning the details as she reported, "Admiral Roja, we've confirmed the fleet ahead belongs to the infamous Krieg Pirates from the East Blue."
"Krieg is known as the 'Warlord of the East Blue,' commanding a crew of approximately 4,500 across fifty large pirate ships. They've just entered the Grand Line, undoubtedly looking to make a name for themselves."
Roja's Justice coat billowed behind him in the salty breeze. He gazed calmly at the approaching fleet on the horizon. "A bounty of just 17 million? If that's all it takes to dare into the Grand Line... disappointing."
Kalifa smirked slyly. "Krieg's truly fortunate, Admiral. To encounter you right after entering the Grand Line—it's an honor most pirates don't live long enough to experience."
Her smirk faded into confusion as the Krieg fleet began spreading out, forming an encirclement. "What are they trying to do? Do they seriously intend to surround us?"
She adjusted her glasses, incredulous. "Don't they know what this warship represents? They're facing an Admiral... the pinnacle of the Navy's power!"
Roja's gaze didn't waver. "No need to be surprised. They're just frogs in a well."
From Krieg's flagship, his brash voice rang out, amplified through a megaphone. "Navy warship ahead! You're surrounded by the great Krieg Fleet! Kneel now, and I might let you live—though I doubt it! Hahaha!"
The grating laughter made Roja's brows furrow slightly. "Noisy."
In an instant, the phantoms aboard Roja's warship shattered into mist-like fragments. Without hesitation, Roja rose into the air, his presence commanding as he stood above the waves.
The sight left Krieg's pirates gaping.
"He's flying?!"
"How is that even possible?!"
"Is he a monster?!"
Krieg scowled and barked at his panicked crew. "Shut up! It's just some Devil Fruit user. We've dealt with those before!"
Before Krieg could finish his bravado, a massive shadow engulfed the sea.
"Susano'o," Roja intoned.
A towering, violet-black specter of a warrior materialized, standing hundreds of meters tall. Encased in a dense layer of Haki, it exuded an overwhelming aura of power. Roja stood calmly on its brow, arms crossed.
The giant specter raised its colossal fist. Roja's voice echoed across the waves, cold and unwavering. "If you're this weak, you don't belong in the Grand Line."
The massive fist crashed down into the ocean with an earth-shaking impact. The sea itself seemed to crack, forming a gargantuan crater in the water. The displaced waves surged back, creating a devastating whirlpool that swallowed ships and pirates alike.
Krieg's crew screamed in despair.
"Is this the strength of the Grand Line?!"
"Someone save us!"
"Where's the captain?!"
Krieg had already fled his flagship, leaving his crew to fend for themselves.
As the vortex devoured the remnants of the Krieg fleet, Kalifa worked frantically in the warship's cockpit, steering the vessel away from the chaos.
On deck, Roja dismissed Susano'o, landing lightly back on the ship. With a wave of his hand, new phantoms appeared, resuming control of the warship.
Kalifa emerged from the cockpit, her brow damp with sweat. Despite her earlier frustration, Roja's warm smile caught her off guard.
"Good work, Kalifa," he said gently.
Her irritation melted away. "Just doing my duty, Admiral," she replied, adjusting her glasses to hide her flustered expression.
The sea gradually calmed, the horizon now devoid of the Krieg fleet. Only Roja's warship sailed on, a solitary beacon of justice.
"Kalifa, how many days have we been at sea?" Roja asked.
"Five days," Kalifa replied, consulting her logbook. "We've taken down seven pirate crews so far, with combined bounties exceeding tens of billions of berries."
Roja nodded. "That's enough for now. What nearby islands can we dock at to resupply?"
Kalifa checked her notes. "We're near Cocoyasi Village and Sick Island. However, Sick Island is temporarily closed due to King Wapol's coronation—only local ships are permitted to dock."
Roja's lips curved into a faint smile. "Then Cocoyasi Village it is."
Although his journey appeared spontaneous, Roja had planned everything meticulously. By eliminating pirates along the way, he had gradually steered his course toward Cocoyasi Village. Everything was proceeding according to plan.
