Chapter 7: Chapter 7: Skills Need to Be Shouted Out!
"I am the embodiment of justice, I am the Judge." Haruto struck a dramatic pose, mimicking JOJO's iconic stance.
"In the name of justice, I judge you..." Haruto struck another pose and continued, "And your Judgment is... Death penalty!"
...
Seeing Haruto striking different poses with each sentence, the Mantis Monster choked back the insult on the tip of its tongue.
"...So you're just an idiot?" the Mantis Monster muttered, then laughed, "Heh, heh heh, heh heh heh! Still, it doesn't matter if you are an idiot... Since you're seeking death, I'll fulfill your wish-" Before it finished speaking, the Mantis Monster suddenly spread its wings and shot forward, its giant blade arm aimed straight at Haruto.
*Clang!* *Clang!* *Boom!*
With a loud crash, the Mantis Monster collided with Haruto, their weapons clashing and producing a series of sharp, grating noises.
Gritting his teeth, Haruto pressed his sword against the Mantis Monster's blade. The immense pressure caused the ground around him to crack and sink.
"Heh, heh, heh, as prey, you're quite impressive. But so what?" The Mantis Monster flapped its wings again, creating even more impact force.
"Hmph!"
Red-faced and sweating profusely, Haruto's muscles bulged and veins stood out under the increasing pressure.
"Can't hold on any longer? Heh, heh, heh."
"Screw you! Get lost!" Suddenly relaxing, Haruto sidestepped the Mantis Monster's charge.
*Boom!*
The Mantis Monster crashed into a nearby storefront.
"It seems I need to get serious."
Adjusting his breath and state, Haruto reached for his waist again and drew a second black longsword.
Both longswords were part of the Judge suit, which were originally two black spheres that transformed into different weapons based on the user's needs, they could even become guns, though each bullet cost 1 Judgment Point, with varying costs depending on the gun type, always more expensive.
Given his currently dire financial situation, Haruto did not even consider using firearms.
Just as he drew the second sword, the Mantis Monster charged at Haruto again.
"Bring it on," Haruto's eyes focused as he swiftly crossed the two swords in front of his chest, forming a cross.
Haruto shouted the skill's name, not by choice, but due to the system's requirement. He sprang forward, charging at the Mantis Monster.
*Boom!*
A dull impact echoed.
Haruto and the Mantis Monster switched positions, their backs now facing each other.
"Heh, heh heh, heh heh heh, I must admit, you're an impressive prey," the Mantis Monster said, turning to face Haruto and continued, "But it's not enough to defeat me. Heh, heh heh, heh heh heh, your damage output is not enough."
Haruto watched the cross-shaped wound on the Mantis Monster's chest slowly healing and muttered, "Tch, why don't you just die already?"
This time, the Mantis Monster's regeneration was much slower, having overexerted itself.
However, Haruto was also injured, having taken a hit from the Mantis Monster on his waist. Luckily, his armor was sturdy enough to prevent him from being cut in half. Even so, the impact left his internal organs churning. Based on Haruto's years of martial arts experience, he was definitely suffering from internal injuries.
However, now was not the time to dwell on his injuries, the priority was to eliminate the Mantis Monster.
With a flourish of his sword, Haruto prepared to press the attack and finish off the monster. But just then, a series of *beep-beep-beep*sounds rang out.
Looking down, he saw the transparent sphere on his chest plate flashing red and emitting constant beeping.
"No way! Ultraman?!"
